Yes, with rubber seal the door is protected

With the current situation in the country now, I doubt if we will be able to continue this project at the moment. We have waited yet cement and other materials are still sky rocketing, the last time i checked cement sell for #3,300 in Nsukka

However I will update the total amount we have spent so far up to this state so that I don't keep you waiting so long.

Yeah I remember though I didn't know it will be this bad, it's coming down gradually now.

3/8 sand simply means minus basalt but it has sizes, there is 3/4, 3/8, 5/8, 11/4 etc.

It is a very tiny size or particles of crushed rock. Many call it 3/4 or 3/8 sand according to their sizes but you can as well call it gravel. Images below

Concrete blinding

Blinding is a thin layer, usually around 50 mm or 75 mm (2 or 3 inches) thick, it is usually a weak concrete i.e Lower Grade of Concrete or sand that is laid above a layer of hardcore to provide a clean, level and dry working surface. Concrete Blinding is the most Common Form of Blinding.

Ratio: 1bag + 8buckets of sand +12buckets of local stone = concrete fair mix (1:4:6)

There is need for columns (pillars)because of earth tremor but also because of concrete fascia ( parapet) we have to erect it to bear the dead load.
