Maybe that only started recently
Because my hot S and w4 never received more than one update each undecided
hot s is not a TECNO phone, and yeah, the recent phones do get updates regularly, personally I've received over 3 updates on my Camon device

I decided to mention Infinix as well since they are both under the same umbrella (transsion)
Which camon device?
Unless it's camon 16 or 15 then 3 updates is way too small

Xiaomi's miui 11 for my phone has received an eleventh update as at yesterday (if the numbers in front of the version tally with the amount of releases)but because I got my phone fairly recently that makes it the 4th update for me and redmi note 8 series is almost a year old now (my phone was already at 7th update when I bought it) because I think the note 8 was released sometime between mid to late last year and it came with miui 10 initially so look at that....
It then had to move from miui 11.0.01 all the way to miui 11.0.11
Not to mention old devices being upgraded to android 10 in recent updates and some phones have received MIUI 12 and redmi note 8 will probably receive it by the end of the year or by next year

The meaning of regular updates would be Nokia, that phone receives updates almost every month

More so with Tecno and infinix most of their phones would just be forgotten after a year or so because they make way too many phones for their own good
After a year or 2 their phones will no longer receive updates

Xiaomi still pushes updates to phones as old as 2 years or so

There's even a common slogan that a Xiaomi phone will receive 3 major miui updates (ie miui 11 to MIUI 12 to MIUI 13 to MIUI 14) before it's forgotten

So really Tecno just started but they have a lot to do

Not all xiaomi phones will get MUI 13. Redmni note 8 wouldn't either

Well of course not all will get MIUI 13 that's sure
And as for redmi note 8

It's gone through MIUI 10
MIUI 11
and is sure to get MIUI 12 (which obviously some Xiaomi devices won't be getting)
And Redmi note 8 isn't receiving android 11 either (I don't blame them since miui 12 Seems to be giving them a bit of delay with note 8 )

Note that I didn't say "all Xiaomi devices," I said "older devices" so whether your device is part of the "older devices" depends on the year it was made

Moreso I believe common sense would explain to anyone that's reading that not all devices made by a brand will get an update. simply because of compatibility issues even iOS dropped some very old devices eventually.....

Or like trying to run Windows 10 on Pascal's machine.....

Even so
It's more than what infinix or Tecno can do smiley

You make it seem as if xiaomi is perfect and that tecno and infinix doesn't get updates

You make it seem as if xiaomi is perfect and that tecno and infinix doesn't get updates

If that's what you took away from my posts then you're being sentimental

I think the reason why you infinix and Tecno fans react this way when Xiaomi users most especially are comparing Xiaomi to Tecno or infinix is because of how much you love them which I won't fault you for

But don't let your love for a brand cloud your judgement, in my posts I didn't make it seem like Xiaomi is perfect in anyway and yes I am saying that infinix and Tecno don't get updates not until recently I've used both infinix and Tecno so I know what I'm saying really.....after 1 update to my Tecno w4 back then it started misbehaving then I had to resort to the art of restoring factory settings every 2 to 3 months because the lag was unbearable and everyday I must get a "system UI is not responding" error the phone just freezes and crashes

I updated my infinix hot S but I got stuck on the "XOS chameleon" boot screen not long after. I had to wipe the phone to use it and all that time the phone wasn't charging as fast as it should eventually the charging port spoilt I abandoned it for months, I repaired it later on but it developed network issues so I had to repair it again later the charging port spoilt again I smashed it out of anger
I was a great fan of infinix then too but after I. Smashed the phone I decided to look for alternatives....
Note that I expected a sort of update to fix it which never arrived

But these things I said don't mean Xiaomi is perfect
I'm sure you'll find that Xiaomi thread itself has a few people complaining about one thing or the other

No device is perfect my brother
Don't let anyone deceive you

I clearly stated there that "Nokia is the meaning of regular updates because they receive updates almost on a monthly basis" meaning that in terms of updates Nokia surpasses Xiaomi

As fancy and innovative as Samsung is their phones were bombs at some point so much that some people started suing them to court

iPhone that's always smiling at me sef get bugs
I remember advising a friend to update her iOS version of she wants her rear camera to work again because there was a bug that disabled the camera and an update fixed that

One thing I'll admit is that if infinix was making the quality of phones they're just making as at the time I went for hot S I'd probably be a die hard infinix fan right now

The things is that to a lot of people that have handled both a infinix or Tecno against a Xiaomi will tell you Xiaomi is better and that includes me

If not for Corona I would have gotten the redmi note 8 for as low as 50,000 Naira and it'll come with a lot of features that a Tecno phone of 60,000+ won't have (processor most importantly)

When we say Xiaomi is better than Infinix we're not saying it's perfect we're only saying it's better because after using both and checking their production line up we see it's better.

If Xiaomi bleeps up people will drop them as well
All these people you term Xiaomi marketers will be the ones advising people not to go for it

TLDR

That I'm saying Xiaomi is better than Tecno is not saying it's perfect

Take this brother for example, who knows what horrible experiences he suffered at the hands of Xiaomi grin grin (if he's not just a hating troll anyways)

I don't really preach infinix however I vehemently condemn those critics who go about dragging their image. If you want to promote xiaomi for example do so without spoiling the name of another brand. However since those xiaomite refuse to listen,I decide to find fault in their brand

Well "fast" is not a very general term because each person seems to have varying definitions of fast so unless we see the battery drain status or SOT as it's called we can't say for sure
