Why are you people masturbating over this issue??

Even human being get defect. Moreover the phone is a low Redmi end phone which may not have capacity for the latest update and this is just one of out million cases.

Una no dey shame. Imagine a 2018 redmi low phone low end phone still getting updates and support while your flagship is stale with no support...

Is it not obvious that Xiaomi is not a mate to all Transsion phones??

Why the double standard? Something went wrong say it. Let us call a spade a spade, which 1 is 2018 phone? The phones you have been bashing nko, where as its not a battery problem or speed that you will simply say technology keeps getting better. The phone is suppose to do its basic and most important duty which is make call

A particular phone got an issue after good two years of usage, and you people want to use that against Xiaomi brand. If I may ask, how many xiaomi phones have you encountered with that kind or similar issue compared to the brand you are marketing? Fact is every phone brands have their lows and highs but xiaomi is one of the best brands now in the world, it is never a match for Tecno/infinix.

what's this one even saying? Not all humans have defects and even they do, that's not enough reason to buy a phone with so many issues after all the hype.

Are you sure there's a sim in that phone?
Or the sum is damaged.
I always update my redmi 7 and I don't have such
I recently bought an mtn sim, that was on Tuesday, the sim is yet to show on my phone, I moved it to my Nokia torch, still the same issue.

Most times on the phone section, we see people coming on here to bash a brand all in an attempt to praise whatever brand of phone they're using, with so many posts and negative comments about brands like TECNO, Infinix, Gionee and Itel and even Samsung. I was even tempted to drop my phone and get a new Xiaomi smartphone, but the story is different now as I've seen posts and complaints coming from different users of this brand, now I'm wondering where all those fan boys are now that people are facing difficulties.

I hope Xiaomi fan boys and customers haven't entered one chance because i also heard they don't have an after sales service to fix all these problems grin

Rubbish.

Have u been to carlcare ikeja and you will see how people line up to fix their newly purchased transition phones like they are sharing money there

This isn't true... The SIM verification process is one method to provide extra security for your Xiaomi device, should it case it get stolen, Mi can easily track the phone if a report is made from your mi account... This method of security can also be disabled. See here below how i disable mine

Xiaomi users aren't poor and illiterate
It won't hurt some of us to pay the 50 naira for 4 simcards sef and you'd be surprised to find that most people haven't activated their SIM cards that's to say it's not compulsory to go through that process and even a 5 year old using a Xiaomi device would know that!

More so the so called "activation" is just to send a message to them to register your phone number with them so they can track your phone incase it goes missing so it doesn't mean you can't use your phone or SIM cards.

Let me give you an example, I've activated 2 of my 4 simcards (the remaining 2 just refused to send the message no matter how hard I tried) and anytime I change simcards to an unregistered one it detects the change and immediately locks the phone (meaning that it thinks the phone is in the hands of an unidentified user or a thief) asking for a special password which I have chosen before, I simply enter the password and my phone control is released that instant and I can continue enjoying it tongue
