I wonder why one is 6-0 and the other 4-6.
I did some research. Thank goodness for basketball reference. In all of MJ's finals, he never faced a player who averaged 30 points in the finals. He faced a 25ppg player only twice (Barkley 27.3 and Malone 25.0). And of course, he never faced two 25ppg players on the same team.

Meanwhile, in LeBron's ten finals, he's faced a 30ppg player twice (KD in OKC and KD in GS). He's faced nine 25+ppg players (KD trice, Curry trice, Westbrook, Dirk and Butler). And he's faced two 25+ppg players on the same team three times (KD & Curry twice, and KD & Westbrook).

MJ played in a finals against a team which the second best player averaged 10.7 points (Hornacek in 1998). The best second highest scorer he's faced averaged 18.6 (Magic).

The worst 2nd second highest scorer LeBron ever faced is Bam Adebayo (15.3), with the injury. The best second highest scorer LeBron has faced averaged 27.0 ppg (Westbrook and Curry).

Yeah that Jazz team in 1998 especially was trash.

MJ faced his best competition in his Conference (until his conference became just as useless), Bron faced his best competition in the finals. If Bron was drafted by a western conference team, he'd have fewer finals appearances and If Jordan was put in Brons shoes, he'd have more finals losses but fewer finals appearances.

The whole finals record thing is just a very re.tarded argument. It had never made sense, only idiots don't understand the fallacy it entails.

Thats it for me. It was fun while it lasted. At least this time it ended on a much higher note.

Rob Parker when LeBron got to L.A: "he's done winning championships. He's in L.A to make movies. He's a 6'8" version of Kevin Hart."

Rob Parker when LeBron won the championship with L.A: "I always thought he was gonna win at some point no matter where he is, because his talent was that way."

Clown. Typical LeBron hater grin

For those that say that LeBron got more help than Jordan, please study this chart very well. It illustrates those important teammates both Jordan and LeBron played with on the to the finals. It shows what those important teammates had achieved before they played with either LeBron or Jordan, what they achieved playing with them and what they were able to achieve after. Enjoy!

It's just the first of a three peat. You heard it here first.

First he claimed the Rockets didn't miss 27 straight threes, then when he realised he was wrong he tried to use English to confuse us. Lol. grin

And I love how we've gotten him to talk favourably about LeBron in an argument cheesy
I'm convinced beyond reasonable doubt that you cannot read. This is not even laughing matter again. Go and enrol in night school or something. What a Muppet

Lool. Where did you get the impression that I was incapable of talking favorably about LeNomad? What is this crackhead behavior you lot keep exhibiting

A40:
I disagree. A healthy Chris Paul would have led the Rockets past Golden State in 2018. The Warriors were down at halftime in Game 7 by double digits and if they had any player with any kind of midrange game they beat the Warriors

It took a CP3 injury and Rockets missing 27 consecutive missed 3's for Golden State to advance. They were not unbeatable. The Rockets completely shat the bed in the second half. James Harden choked shooting 12/29

That team was supposed to win a 4peat. Have you forgotten what they said at their unveiling? There was a palpable fear that we were seeing a dynasty that had never existed in league history.
It was easy and it was a question of how many rings they would win not if they would make 4 Finals. You had Wade, Bosh, Battier on defense, Mike Miller off the bench then they added Ray Allen, added Rashad Lewis and other role players. That team was super loaded and the league should never have stood a chance

The Heat's strengths obviously LeNomad was their best player but they had a strong bench, they also had a historically great defense. I still maintain that that Heat team should have won 3 or 4 rings in a row

well, we cant really tell, cos they didnt have those players with mid range games. so end of the day its filled up with WHAT IFS.
but it just seems like Its impossible to beat the warriors in a series best of 7, at their best.
The koko is the Rockets proved they were beatable. They didn't pull it off but any team that can push you to 7 games and be leading you by double digits at halftime can definitely beat you.

nairamaniac:

Comparing starting 5 to Starting 5, the warriors are ahead of that heat team.
That's neither here nor there

The Heat had better depth and for that era the Heat had far and away the best roster in the league

nairamaniac:

that's where coaching-skills and leadership had a factor.
if that team was coached by a Phil Jackson, they were more likely to 4peat.
Na wa oh. You people act like Phil Jackson never lost a series. Wasn't he coach when Dallas swept them? Didn't he lose to Detroit with Kobe, Shaq, Payton and Malone

nairamaniac:

And as per the first finals loss against Dallas, I wasn't really surprised. Lebron and wade were just taking turns thruout that season and into the playoffs.

their last season together was even worse. wade was completely washed out by that season.
also, I think I remember bosh having to play some games, upon being unfit/injured

The first finals LeBron was passive and terrible. He was the 3rd best scorer on his team and did not play even passable defense on Jason Terry

The last Finals Wade struggled but the entire team lacked the will to play defense. And trust me the rest of the league were not sympathizing with a team that had Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen as secondary options

LeNomad displayed some of the most fantastic statpaddin you will ever see in that 2014 Finals as well. Almost 40% of his buckets came with the Heat down by 15 points or more grin grin

I think between Games 3-5 he scored 51 points with the Heat down by 15 or more grin

I've always told you never to compare Aaron Rodgers to the real GOAT TB12. He's an imposter just like LeNomad (wearing same number) but he's worse because he's even less qualified than LeNomad

The NOMAD can assemble players like a mechanic working for an automobile company and still post horrible finals aggregate but the GOAT can not.

Imagine stat-padding when your team is 15 points down, a time when your points are most needed. There's nothing I won't hear on this thread cheesy So what will it be called when your team is 20 points up?
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:30pm On Oct 20, 2020
Lmaoooo Bronsexuals will defend their man to the hilt. Your man scored 62% of his points with his team down 15points or more and that's not padding

Like a QB throwing 30 TD passes but 20 of them came with his team down 3 or more TDs. Is that effective?
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 2:58pm On Oct 20, 2020
These LeBron haters are delusional. Shameless, and they don't try to hide it. We hear how Skip regular calls LeBron a frontrunner, rightfully claiming that points don't mean anything if your team has a huge lead. But here we are in this thread and someone's trying to convince me that points don't mean anything if you're trailing by 15 grin

Man, I thought I had seen it all. Folks are trying to get even in the game and the points are stat-padding? Man, go ahead and fool yourself, you're on your own. I can't help you.

I hope you have finally gotten small ability to read so you don't goof 40 times while addressing what I actually say

It's a pity you are generally clueless on anything besides LeNomad knob polishing. There is a reason people take stock of these types of stats

If you're scoring 62% of your points in 3 straight losses with your team down by 15 points or more then that is statpadding and no responsible analyst will posit that LeNomad was effective and had a good series.

Teams with large leads typically don't play with the same intensity and when the bulk of your points come in those circumstances then it should be obvious they will not hold the same weight. But the mugu pseudo analyst will not grasp such basic concept
