If your visa comes with a " no further stay" clause, you won't be able to apply PR, unless you apply for that clause to be removed (which you must give the department good reasons for them to effect it). But if it doesnt come with that clause, then i think you can apply for PRvisa. This is what I think, and stand to be corrected, I am not an expert in this topic. 99% of visitor visa issued to Nigerians and some other countries will come with No further stay condition. There is 99% chance that yours will come with it.

Under the no further stay rule, even if you apply for removal of the condition, the ACT does not permit issuance of another visa except for COVID that brought little changes to it.

If your aim is for PR, waste no money on visitor visa, apply for study visa or PR itself.

Hello I recently got the Aussy, 189 PR visa. I stay and work in Lagos earning 550k a month. Is this a good time to leave all and move to Aussy. I am a software developer in Lagos.

Also, I have a wife and infant son.

Thanks for your advice..

Please what are the chances of getting a PR for one who has a study visa?
Re: Living In Australia/life As An Australian Immigrant by Goodies1: 2:52pm On Oct 29, 2020
Please share the link to the student thread
Thanks

You shouldn't be even thinking about this but if it happens fine, honestly most ppl that i know are living in regret, some old folks have to go back to naija to remarry secretly. Some are left in the lurch due to the waiting period of two years to get partner visa, the other party call it quit and they have to start all over again. There are many other pathways better than putting yourself in an uncertain situation. Also, over 60k backlog of people are on waiting list for partner visa, some are there for over two years and at the end of the day, you will find out that those that struggle to get their PR are ahead of you while you doing everything to satisfy your Aussie bride for things not go south.
Your best bet is schooling in a state that 190 or worst-case scenario 491 is guarantee after studies.
PS: Ask on the student thread about experience regarding dating Aussies talkless of marriage.

Hello Sir,

You will need to learn CS, it's the building blocks. Not necessarily all CS but basics like algorithm, data structure, etc. Then you can move into any language to solve problems. Popular languages like Python, JS, C#, etc. After gaining confidence in a language, you can move to framworks which enables you to build solutions faster using previously written codes in the chosen language. The final stop will then be a stack, which is a combination of tech framworks and languages. Voilà, you are a developer..

Try many free resources online...youtube, Udacity, Cousera, etc.

Hello I have a friend who is a Crane Operator and his plan is to migrate to Australia and work as a Crane Operator. Can someone with this skill qualify to apply for the resident/work permit? If yes please what are the requirements. Also which of the immigration program can he fit in? Thanks.
