I believe if you read the fine print on our Terms and Conditions, you will find all the liability requirements for users and the platform. Users are responsible for their posts. However, if we find any intent to mislead or scam, then we have to act. I believe we have acted based on the picture and history you provided. It still does not prove anyone was scammed or lost money but the trail is enough to prove a misleading post. If anyone was scammed or lost money, that would be a criminal case.

you dont knw ur job when an allegation is laid down from 2 or more people about a particular post it is left for u the administrator to do investigation in some well known platform that post will be suspended immediately after a report until investigation is carried out ; i gave u young sammy contact to verify for ur self before he came publicly to do that. neva try to defend what u ar not sure becos u can be implicated alongside
lastly did you check image of id the emmanuel use to register on ur platform to see whether it comform with the one that carry those puppy. from all indication you didnot carry proper investagation. do you knw impersonation is a serious offence ?

the nairaland pet section was open for pet lovers and breeders to market their pet just like other social media

2. A user is not obligated to use his ID picture or image in his product post. Imagine a firm with more than one staff, any other staff can be in their product Ad and that would be just fine. There is no obligation to use the same image in the ID to market their product.

3. The Voters card ID used tallies with the name on the account and AD. That is a Government issued ID. By law, you have to respect that. Imagine you travel with a Nigerian passport outside the country and people begin to doubt if the name on the passport is that of the bearer. It is not done.
We also verify phone numbers using a security OTP at point of registration. Every seller can be traced, that is the way our platform is securely designed.

4. We asked repeatedly from the beginning to see some evidence, You did not provide any. Imagine this scenario, if you have competitors and they attempt to tarnish you online without evidence. That can't be right. That was why we asked for direct evidence. We got some not all and we still acted. I believe we have acted as an impartial arbiteur, and correctly too.

You should be more introspective before commenting in a public forum. New users to our platform get 5 free Ads and the affected person had all those Ads posted that have now been removed. You can still see other ads, including pet ads from other seller posted. The user has been terminated, and all his Ads removed from all postings, both on our platform and externally

Its just that your attitude towards the whole matter didn't speak well of someone who wants to run an open, legit platform.
I'm just saying, you should have taken down the ad the moment you heard someone was scammed and carried out your investigation instead of just leaving it so that more people would fall victim and if the owner of the ad is not guilty, putting it back up wouldn't be a problem would it?

i was the first to warm everyone about that post but greedy user went ahead without asking questions.When I contacted the so called guy,he acted good but I was better,after the normal questions and answers and how I can get the dog,the first red flag was when he asked if I wanted him to deliver,I told him we should meet,he said he had so many deliveries to make,that I should pay on delivery....Cool I said!!!next thing ,he was asking me to send some payments for basket to carry the dog,I said no,I will not pay a dime till I see the said dog,he ran away immediately!!!i came on this forum and told everyone to be careful!!!but fly wey no Dey hear word go follow shit always

However, you need to understand that they are processes for every type of complaint. We cannot just act based on hearsay. From the beginning we asked for evidence but only got insults and innuendos. Things do not work that way. We seek to protect both buyers and sellers, and must remain impartial till all the facts are know.

People should learn to follow basic safety rules for online transactions. Never pay until you see the product/goods or pet in this case.
