I really appreciate the comments here, I've been busy with work. I've not seen the guy nor the car yet.
We spoke moments ago, the car had gadget burnt again, new mechanic told him the initial gasket was fake. Had to change it, but since then the car didn't overheat but the rev isn't stable.

He has abandoned the car now, I will have free time (next week) to help him check out the car putting all the aforementioned into consideration.

I will update when I get hold of the car.
Thanks again

am getting lost now, how can the mechanic say its not overheating when the car is not able to rev properly?

Please ask your self the question why toks as well as brand new cars in and out of the country almost never come with double cell radiator? These same cars are driven for years with out overheating until they arrive this country. Some of the countries these cars come from are even hotter than Nigeria.
Haba... Which part of Europe or America is hotter than Nigeria. Mention that part and we have an argument.
You have a valid question, and you're probably correct about the radiator not being the problem but don't ever ever say any part of Europe or America is hotter than Nigeria. Aside Middle East, Africa has the hottest weather conditions in the world.

No one lives in Death Valley. I know of Death Valley in the US. It's inhabitable and it's been full darkness in Death valley for almost a year now. As for Arizona, I don't even know it's hot there. cheesy

Whats ignorance. The fact that it's hot or the fact that there was 32 days darkness from Feb to March?

Lol...now you know.
The temperature thing our mechanica use to recommend double cell radiators is just a farce. I've never used double cell.
In Arizona, Needles, Mojave, Middle-East, North Aftica and Australia they all use single cell and their fans ain't run direct and those places are hotter than Nigeria.
Our mechanics are just lazy about learning about, properly diagnosing and fixing cooling systems.

When you want say no one lives in a place, you should cross check the information or you risk displaying gross ignorance.

That's funny cuz I actually cross checked it before saying no one.
America has a total population of 328.2 million as of 2019 census. Do you think 300 people matters when it comes to living in a place? And in reference to the topic, do you think those 300 people manufacture cars and ship it to Africa?

The video down here will tell you more about Death Valley before you conclude that people actually live there.

What a clever guy

You must really be hurt, for you to type all this nonsense and go away feeling fulfilled

What have you achieved here? How have you helped the OP?

If we check now, you drive a 1999 Mercedes, and you're here shouting Corolla up and down like a rabid canine

Go and suffer in silence, and let brave people receive the help they need

Trust me you knocked this guy out. But let's see if the upper cut will put him down

So the 300 people are not people because they are just 300, hmm, I see your point.

He forgot to check mojave desert, needle and all other hot places from texas to Florida to California to Las Vegas.
And he even insulted Nigerian mechanics after championing double cell like it's the cure to all overheating problems.

I think the amount of dust in this season will reduce the cooling process because of radiator fin blockage. I check the temperature of return water into the reservoir and it's hotter than usual. No sediment at the base of the reservoir. I think I need to clean the radiator fins.
