This kunle afolayan is an so overrated.
Ever since I saw some scenes in 1st October i brushed him off.
Naija films do not display any form of unparalleled intelligence.

techmo:

Movie budget cost 10 million and above, camera crew earns nothing less than 100k a month, actors earn between 200k to 1.5m for main actors and actresses, they pay for location, hotels and logistics all this money comes from Bank of Industry loan with interest yet you want him to be diplomatic

.

Kunle goofed on this, the young man only asked a question, which he could have replied diplomatically without having to throw tantrums because the question itself wasn’t rude in any way.

A saner actor could have corrected him cos it’s obvious the guy was ignorant perhaps with some humor too and move on.

The ignorant dude isn’t the reason for piracy,it is what it is,so why go all out calling someone who needs answers to a movie of yours a bastard,it’s a classic example of vain pride.

If I were to rate both of them on the concepts of human psychology, then Mr Kunle surely need some help real fast if he has such a mindset with his level of exposure.

Well, you don't know me. So, you can only think. You don't KNOW.

This is not an opinion. It is a fact. It is illegal to watch movies without authorization from the copyright owner.

I am the son of a judge (late), so I grew up in a home where we had great respect for the law. We were brought up to do the right thing.

If you want to watch a movie for free (legally), there are many websites (such as YouTube, for example) where you can watch some selected movies for free, without breaking the law or denying the copyright owner their financial dues.

Sorry for the loss, and may God grant the surviving ones strenght to cope without the head of their family.

Back to the discussion, that you are born into a legal practitioner's house is not a criteria for an upright upbringing(Even Pastor's kids dey misbehave) because people watch those movies those years without knowing it was illegal.
Except you are among the indomie generation, if not, you must have seen movies from Osuofia, Mama gee, Sam Loco, James Bond, Commando, Rainbow, Jet Li, Van Damme, Bruce Lee, including living in bondage, yemi my lover, ishawuru etc.

When did Nigeria join the list of internet connected countries?

Youtube movies are only legal when streamed but the moment you download it using another app, it becomes illegal.
Are you saying you have never watched a downloaded or CD movie before?
Like the ones I mentioned earlier e.g Prison break, Spartacus etc.

You can deny it but don't forget your conscience, except you don't have one.

My point is Kunle acted unprofessional typical of an overrated producer that he is. EOD.

Most nigerians like going through the backdoor.....kunle afolayan spent millions of naira in making a film.... Some useless mofos are downloading or watching for free....and still complaining about the film.......awon ole jatijati......

A lot of these idiots have ruined nollywood pruducers......expecially those pirating their film.......i dont know why alaba market etc are still existing.......those idiots selling in that market are criminals........especially the film sections there.......and some idiots will saying , na business na......

Nollywood is overrated, learn to be objective . I do watch some nollywood movies on dstv , even their latest premiere is overated and most is trash. Most isn't intriguing enough to watch.

Overrated? I totally disagree with you. Most of them don't spend to much money in producing good movies because of piracy.

Movies like Citation, Set up, black oil, Living in bondage etc cost a lot of money to produce. These are world standard movies but, piracy won't encourage production of such movies.

Kunle Afolayan over reacted but, PIRACY kills Nollywood. Thank God for cinema.

Kunle Afolayan Blasts Follower Who Asked Why His Latest Movie 'Doesn't Have Subtitle'

"You're A Very Stupid Idiot.."- Kunle Afolayan Blasts Follower Who Asked Why His Latest Movie 'Doesn't Have Subtitle'

Filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan has blasted his Twitter follower who questioned why his latest movie doesn't have subtitle, IgbereTV reports.

The follower, @iam_Muideen wrote:

https://twitter.com/iam_Muideen/status/1329516671330082820?s=19

However, it turns out that the movie has subtitle on Netflix and the follower likely watched on an unauthorized platform, and this angered Kunle.

And the filmmaker responded:

https://twitter.com/kunleafolayan/status/1329518690749063173?s=19

This is how we call Buhari a dictator, but a "mere" movie Director cannot take simple criticism without lashing out with insults.

.Let me make something clear to some ret@rds and imbeciles on this site, you can curse all you like, curse me and swear but not a single curse will ever mean a thing to me, you have spent your entire life cursing the government and Nepa but not a single curse came to pass but instead these people keep enjoying Nigeria’s money and scamming you.

I will never support your end SARS or end bad government approach because it is a foolish way of chasing victory, I have neither supported this government because from the start I warned against buhari and many of you today protesting end bad government once voted for this cow lover and may God continue to punish you for putting us in this situation and coming out today to play the victims.

You can tell all the white men about Nigeria but it will never make Nigeria better except the citizens take the courage to move and fortunately very few are ready and the rest of you are hypocrites. I remember sending a formal letter detailing a winning plan and tactics of winning the next election, I sent this letter to celebrities who I noticed were strong hold of the protest but not a single one replied…

Many of you are online warriors, many of you will not move to fight if others don’t move, many of you will not act until your celebrities tell you to, you are your own problem and you know it but keep denying it.
If you continue holding on to lekki toll gate shooting and telling the world something they already know the Nigerian government will continue to fight you because they are also as angry as you are.

Even if you didn’t agree with them in this you agree with them in big brother show because they put that show to keep you all in a zone but you can’t see it, they know that all the youths know how to do is gossip, fvck and play, so they put all three in one house and allow you watch and enjoy your madness, when the house mates come out the governors start bombing them with endorsement deals and official government offices and appointments, what did they do in that house to deserve such? Millions of Nigerian youths have worked their ass out, studied and sweat blood just to have those positions but no they didn’t get it, only for people who sent 3 months in a house kissing and grabbing ads to come out and have those positions before the eyes of every poor Nigerian. You spend millions voting for housemates to win big brother but you can’t sacrifice little time to go out and vote for the right person and those of you that went to vote voted for problem… now you are complaining why some of us do not support you, may God punish all of you in mysterious ways.

And finally A lot is currently going on in Nigeria, a lot that dwarfs the lekki shooting so if you can make a plan to win the next election then do so but if you cannot then shut the Bleep up and enjoy the president you voted for…
God bless you immensely

he should be glad d dude even had time to watch his movie instead of cursing.

Things have become so bad that people make blank generalizations. I will never intentionally watch a pirated movie and I know others who hold such view. It's tantamount to stealing and I've always learned to be contented with what I have.

you call his movies overrated? Well I don't blame you when you will be watching asaba nollywood

He's trying. But his movies are overrated. His storylines are always whack. Plus the fact that he always wants to be cast in his own movies... Dunno if he's aware of how terrible an actor he is.

Of course, his movies can't be compared to "Asaba nollywood". Except the "bigger budget", a slight upgrade in cinematography, and better cameras, how does his movie differ from Asaba nollywood?
I'll take Kemi Adetiba and Emmem Isong over Kunle. He's just a proud brat!
