Fayose: I Will Not Watch Tinubu Pulled Down by nairavsdollars(f): 8:51pm On Nov 21, 2020
Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has said series of subterranean plots to pull down politically the ‘giant’ National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu by some politicians in the southwest will fail.

Fayose said he would never associate nor join the group of rebels to destroy Tinubu because he had laboured for the nation through his focused leadership which stimulated the growth of Yoruba socio-political space through a number of leaders who are occupying vantage leadership positions across the country.

The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, who spoke at his Afao-Ekiti country home in Ekiti State, noted that some politicians Tinubu nurtured to political stardom are allegedly behind his travail on account of personal interest.

He noted that Southwest people would resist any attempts by to ridicule Tinubu, whom he described as image of Yoruba nation, noting that any attack against the former Lagos State Governor is an attack on the entire Yoruba people.

He stated that APC stalwart does not deserves to be crucified and humiliated by some his political mentees, saying he had sacrificed enormously to groom and raise them from political obscurity to limelight.

Fayose said, the conspiracy against the ex-governor which was part of strategies to divide and create confusion among the Yoruba people would fail, urging the Yoruba sons and daughters to support and accord him the necessary regards.

The former governor said he would never cease to raise his voice against people plotting Tinubu’s downfall, stressing that he had paid his dues which needed to be acknowledged by all and sundry.

He clarified that though he was not holding brief for Tinubu, but stressed that people should learn to appreciate those who had done creditably well in nation-building despite political differences.

“I am not championing the course of Tinubu, am not in the position to do that, but there is no denying the fact that Tinubu is a prominent Yoruba leader, whether in APC or in PDP. There is no gainsaying that fact. Fayose is a prominent son of Yoruba nation. Governors Nyesom Wike , Ifeanyi Okowa, Okezie Ikpeazu, are prominent sons of southern Nigeria.

“What am I trying to say is that, we can’t hid their identities and goodwill for political reasons. We can’t deny their contributions. Other leaders from the North like Ahmadu Bello Sardauna, they made different impacts not necessarily like Awolowo. So, Tinubu has paid his dues. I have paid my dues, Okowa has paid his dues, Wike has paid his dues, we need to acknowledge them.

“The late Balarabe Musa, who was a leader of note and repute, cannot be forgotten in history. For me, Tinubu, has paid his dues, I stand by that. I have not seen Tinubu after the Ekiti election by any means, we haven’t even met at a function or saw him passed.

President Muhammadu Buhari condoled with me on the death of my sister, does it mean we are on the same page politically? No. I will not sit down in any corner to shoot down Tinubu. I am not a member of APC and I will never be. But I supported Governor Fayemi to be governor by Tinubu’s influence at a time”.

No one is chasing Tinubu... he is only being smart not to be at the forefront of APC issues anymore as it has constantly made him the fall guy alongside loosing his grassroot hold because of incompetent people.. he saw how his trusted ally "Oshomole" lost all his clout and he is only taking lessons.

Really? The fact on ground states otherwise. Particularly because of 2023, his investments were razed to the ground. Even Oriental Hotel was almost burnt on the lie thst it belongs to Asiwaju Tinubu.

Even IPOB leader was clear in stating that Tinubu's property be burnt and it got burnt. Sahara reporters even created a fake manifest on Tinubu's son http://saharareporters.com/2020/10/22/exclusive-seyi-son-ex-lagos-governor-bola-tinubu-jet-out-london-family-angry-nigerians and one Onyedika122 moniker , more likely an IPOB member here on Nairaland posted another lie https://www.nairaland.com/6196221/live-tinubu-been-chased-away

Some even went as far as circulating videos saying he was running out of Nigeria and his son Seyi flee Nigeria. It all later turned out a lie.
So who are those behind all these attacks against him?

Its majorly because its alledged he runs the toll gates where the lights went off and people killed.. so its assumed he was in connivance with the Army and also public knowledge he indirectly runs the state.

No. It is because of 2023 Presidential election. Except if you are suggesting that these lies are right.

The audio of IPOB leader is all over and we know the beat they are dancing to is being played by some state actors.

Did you notice that the property of FG that owns the army was spared in Lagos and fake news were deliberately circulated against him.

The angle of IPOB is not unex9ected as he appears the only one standing in the way of Igbo presidency.

But trust me, Asiwaju will contest. Nigerians will decide their President at the polls

I'm not really a fan of Bola Tinubu but unprovoked event of late against his person and concern leave me with no option than to conclude that there's a calculative and deliberate assault to malign and humiliate him.

He has numerous allegations of corruption to deal with. Some of them running into billions of naira. He has to explain! That is not witch-hunt

So you were not in town during the ineffectual buffoon's regime when Tribunal dismissed corruption charges against him?

What else do you want, he has to explain? Explain what, to who? You people are just too funny. Charge him to court then.

Brother,
Fresh ones... Very fresh allegations of massive lootings..And even the ones you are talking about, he wasn't declared free of corruption by the courts, it was just a question of technicalities.. Let him just go the courts and clear himself if he is clean. Very simple if you ask me..

But of the truth, tinubu himself is selfish.
Anyways, aside that, it's a known fact that Fayose and Wike respect tinubu alot.

"any attack against the former Lagos State Governor is an attack on the entire Yoruba people."
Not completely true, but let there be no mistaking the fact that if you have crooks in your enclave and you completely ignore them only to keep throwing your harpoon in Tinubu's direction, such attacks will surely be met with fierce resistance from the Yorubas and their well wishers like myself.

No hard feelings, it is just how politics works.

Good to see Fayose just echoed my sentiments, stuff about which I wrote an article over a month ago.

https://www.nairaland.com/6042468/psychology-anti-tinubu-hysteria

Tinubu will and should be protected by Yorubas at all cost.

Take all of them to court but make sure Tinubus name is in the list. Others might have moved on but From the allegations against him he's still looting Lagos with Alphabeta..

Wise Yorubas know Tinubu must not fall, sadly those who want his downfall are those he was warned about but never listened.. it's people like M.K.O and Ahmadu Bello that understand their true nature, you keep them at arms length never to allow into your space.

Just like Victor Banjo, a Yoruba that fought part of their battles, they won't rest till they kill you while they cheer on their own useless and corrupt leaders.

The Hausa/Fulani have put them in check never again to misbehave in the North, but Tinubu mr father christmas is there playing with vipers who hate him for "enslaving" them in Lagos

This greedy tortoise will never stop vomitting trash

Nigeria can't move forward until brigands like Fayose and all other robber-politicians of his ilk are dead

God bless Flt. Lt. Jerry Rawlins for taking the bold step to put Ghana on that road to recovery, way ahead of Nigeria
