It seldom come with any outward manifestation. The most common is an overwhelming peace and cleanliness you feel at the point of salvation. This is your Baptism of/into/by the Holy Spirit.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is a COMMAND for every Christian. We are to DAILY filled with the Holy Spirit. Being filled with the Holy Spirit means being controlled (like being intoxicated with wine) by the Holy Spirit. Just like it takes a measure of drinking to become drunk, so it takes a measure of surrendering to become drunk in the Holy Spirit. When we get drunk with the Holy Spirit, it results in outward manifestations (an offshoot of the gifts of the Holy Spirit manifest) such as Speaking in Tongues, Prophetic manifestations, word of knowledge, Vision/Trance, Faith etc.

However, a few Christians may experience Both Salvation and Being FILLED simultaneously.

If you speak in tongues already then it means you are already baptized with the Holy spirit but if you don't speak in tongues yet then do this...

This night just go into your room, go on your knees and start worshipping GOD, as you worship him, the Holy spirit will come upon you and you will start to speak in tongues.

The tongues will come when you free yourself and start speaking it out when it comes, the devil will tell you to shut up that you are mumbling rubbish but don't give in, just speak out and there you are.

You are baptized with the Holy spirit and when the Holy spirit comes upon you, it will be a whole new experience..

Be truthful to yourself, and surrender yourself wholly to yourself, without a tinge of hypocracy

You don't need prayer, once you are worthy, you will receive inspiration from the right spirit.

You can only get what you are worthy of.

Regardless of your spiritual state, there is always a spirit to back you up.

The Holy Spirit is the essence of God that sustains all life forms. It is omnipresent, hence, you can't "posses" it.

View It like the ocean, and you, a thirsty person standing at the shore starring at it. You can only drink or partake of it only to the extent at which you have the capacity to. Expand your vessel and you'll "have" more of it.

Grace to you from God our Father and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Brother, when you are born- again you are sealed by His Spirit. That is after you believe in Jesus and repent from your sins.
When you are born-again that is after giving your to Jesus Christ you are born of the Spirit.
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

A lot of Christians mix up Baptism of the Holy Spirit with being filled with the Holy Spirit.

There are three steps in becoming a good Christian, 1, repent and be born again, 2. water baptism, 3. baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is unfortunate that the devil has succeeded in deceiving people that they only need the first two and they are fine. If you read the entire book of acts, all the gentiles repented, then they were baptized by water and then the apostles baptized them with the Holy Spirit and they spoke in unknown tongues. The way you are you already have the Holy Spirit but you need to be filled with him. They are two ways of getting filled with the Holy Spirit, first by laying of hands by a genuine Christian (may or may not be a pastor). Paul received his own through this method from Ananias. second is to pray for it. I received mine through the second method although it didn't happen immediately. It happened later in a church service and my life since then has never remained the same. You can download Good morning Holy Spirit by Benny Hinn to understand the importance of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit was sent to confirm the Word of God that became flesh in the Person of Jesus, so do whatever Jesus the Word of God commands you to do, and it would only be a matter of time before the Spirit of God confirms the Word of God in your life, because wherever the Word of God is, there is also the Spirit of God.

That's how I got Him to come upon me, and though He tarried, when He finally came in His fullness, it was as though He had come to His own, as He was revealing His deepest secrets and concerns to me despite that it was the first time I was getting to meet with Him and knowing Him for myself.

So the Spirit of God is seeking the Word of God to confirm, that's how He found me, because I didn't seek Him, but I sought the Word of God which is Jesus and ensured that I had kept His Word. Therefore if you do the same, He'd surely find you, and when He comes and confirms the Word of God in your life, the difference He would make in your life would be clear.

That's the simple process that made the measure of the Holy Ghost those of today have not to be as that which they which were first built upon the Word before the Holy Ghost came upon them had.

That a measure exclusive to those who have been built upon the Word of God as the Peter who said that, and the simple process you speak of can't get that for you.

The new wine must not be spilled because of simple processes. It needs vessels that have the capacity and preparedness to contain it. And that's what the obedience of the Word of God provides.

So do not expect to received the same measure of the Spirit without first keeping the Word of God which is Jesus.

If you are TRULY born again, you have the Spirit of God already.

If you think until you speak in tongues, you do not have the Holy Spirit, you obviously have been deceived.

YOU CAN BE BAPTIZED!
The regenerating work (2nd Cor.5:17) of the Holy Spirit is different from His work at baptism. In regeneration (salvation), there is impartation of the spirit, while in Holy Spirit there is impartation of divine power for effective christian service. Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4-5; 8:1-5.

The immediate outward sign of the Holy Spirit baptism is seen in Acts 2:4, Acts 19:6-7

My Personal Experience!
If ever there is something a Christian should desire, it should be the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. I grew up in Deeper Life. I have heard & prayed much about it but never got baptised. At a time, I got discouraged about the whole thing.
However, my thoughts & conclusion received a blow when I got the experience in August 2008. I attended a program organised for those who wanted to be baptized in the HolyGhost in a church in Oshodi, Lagos. After the program, there was a laying-on of hands. Some people started speaking in tongues right immediately hand was laid on them. But for me, there was nothing. I did not doubt God, yet there was no evidence of baptism. But 3 days later, I woke early morning to have my devotion. Then suddenly, I started speaking a language I did not understand and learn. I tried to control it. Immediately it dawned on me that the experience is here. The experience is great, awesome and real. It is not learnt or taught. It is auction to function for God. Don't be deceived, it is not a hoarse or a gimmick. It is the comforter Himself in you. And the impact on your faith and spiritual life when He comes is unexplainable.

To receive Him, either you wait on God in your "Upper Room", that is your place of prayer, or you
get to a Bible believing Church where you would allow a genuine servant of the living God lay his hands on you. May you wait on him enough in faith till the Gentle Spirit of the Living God fills you completely in Jesus name!

I've had a good number but the problem is the time to type them. The major problem i had was i didn't understand what i was going through and at a point i was thinking i was under a demonic attack. When i received the Holy Spirit, i didn't know something like that existed. Infact, prior to then, i was so ignorant about christianity that i laughed at people who speak in tongues. The day it happened i found myself speaking in the tongues in the midst of a worship service. The more i tried to stop it the more it continued, so i stopped fighting it because i was enjoying the calm. "Problem" now started whenbi got home but i couldn't pray with English alone. whenever i want to pray i would start speaking in tongues involuntarily, at this point i felt tongues were indeed demonic to stop me from praying. So whenever i was praying and tongues issue started, i will start fighting hard to stop it. Little did i know i was grieving the Holy Spirit. I was also led to start praying at midnight. Whenever i was praying, my palms will begin to vibrate uncontrollably or i would fall down or feel vibrations. But in His mercy, he guided me to know him. I got to listen to Selman, Enenche, Arome's messages on the Holy Spirit. He also led me to Hagin and Hinn's books. That was how i learnt who the Holy Spirit was. I don't want to talk about the supernatural encounters like the healing and deliverance because of time. But, the greatest lesson i have in all this is, it is Jesus that gives the Holy Spirit but not in the fullest measure because you can waste it if you don't understand what is happening. The parable of the talents and how Jesus didn't allow food to waste after feeding the 5000 explains it. It is just like when you give birth to a child, you start with feeding with milk, then pap before you graduate to fufu. Same as it is here, when you receive the Holy Spirit, you need to develop it by reading about him, next fellowshipping with him in prayers, then learn his voice and how to distinguish his from that of flesh and the devil, next be obedient to his voice. It is after this you will begin to see the full manifestation of casting out demons etc. Even in the bible, Jesus trained his disciples for 3yrs, before giving them the gift of the Spirit. So, i would advise anyone to read about it so that you won't waste it like i almost did.
