Re: Atiku Abubakar: We Must Exit This Recession With Precision by Ventura1: 1:48pm On Nov 22, 2020
Easier said than done, PDP governors should implement some of the recommendation first, then we can take them serious.
Atiku should encourage his godson, Adamawa governor to try it out.

. Seriously if people vote for this Atiku of a man na suffer go
kill them

This man has nothing to offer he is just playing games to keep his political aspiration alive, the earlier we stopped voting for likes of him the better, this is their usual tactics but Atiku has taken it to the next level..... Bubu came with 1 naira to 1 dollar, turned police even protested, Jonathen came with no slippers. Are we so dumb in this country?

The same Atiku that was quiet during the #endsarz is now forming recession police.

Even if your views are valid if you had the chance to rule you would blow it the same way Buhari is blowing it and killing us at the same time.

Nonsense political talk from Atiku. Virtually all countries of the world including countries with strong economies entered recession because of COVID 19. So what is Atiku saying? Saving for the rainy in the midst of dwindling revenues and locked diwn of the economy? Atiku is definitely not sincere and very economical with facts...

If PDP would field Atiku in 2023, I'd rather not vote.

Mt. WhiteBlack Cat, why didn't you and your principal do all these sweet-mouth watering remedies you are proposing from the sidelines?

Don't mind him. He wants to use the same strategy buhari used to gain people's votes in 2015 (2019 na abracadabra), thing like restructuring, 1ltr=#45, no medical tourism abroad for public servants, an end to terrorism among others.

I don’t exactly support the Atiku idea for 2023 bt I can’t help bt admire and ponder over his words.

For a start, the proposed 2021 budget presented to the National Assembly on Tuesday, October 8, 2020, is no longer tenable. Nigeria neither has the resources, or the need to implement such a luxury heavy budget. The nation is broke, but not broken. However, if we continue to spend lavishly, even when we do not earn commensurately, we would go from being a broke nation, to being a broken nation.

How does borrowing cause recession?.

Recession is caused by persistent decline in gross domestic product, that is productivity, not increase in borrowing Oga Atiku.

Neither does increase in cost of governance cause recession.

As a matter of fact, the more the government spend money, the less the effect of recession.

The best economists in the world could not have averted the recession due to factors beyond control: oil price and covid 19.

You are also wrong about some items. Government spending on the wrong things can lead to recession. Borrowing can lead to reduced spending by government as they have to focus on paying back the loan.

You are right about productivity. Government spending on the right stimulus to encourage local production is key.

I do not wish to throw out the baby with the bath water. Atiku has said some true things as well. For Nigeria to improve, one thing is clear Buhari and his cabinet must reduce the cost of governance. We cannot bear the twin burden of servicing the excessive salaries of the arms of government and debt. We must find a way of taxing the exclusive rich and being more strategic with our expenditure. Continuing the way we are going is only good for government officials in the short term. Every other person that is Nigerian and depends solely on income and business in this nation will suffer if the situation doesnt change.

He is more mentally balanced than that cow from katsina that knows nothing about governance

He prides himself as incorruptible, when he is indeed a criminal like Tinubu

Did he said it was borrowing that caused the recession. I think he warned against further borrowing that your useless government is using to fund ostentatious life styles of clueless government officials and your likes in BMC.
Again, when you borrow interest and debt servicing will have to be paid ( from where?!) especially when borrowed funds are mischievously embedded in a stale budget for easy looting and diversion.
