Great. Its good to have an extra skill so that one can apply for more than 1 type of job. Well done.

Well, people have different things in mind for going into a field. My ultimate goal is not to apply for more than a type of job per se, I plan to utilize my AI and analytics skills for research in my main field. Although, I still work on side gigs.

Between, I'll be glad if you can link me up for internship. Thanks doc.

That's fair. Good reasoning.

About internship, I know how bad Nigeria is but I didn't use link to get my internship o. Everything will depend on luck and where you are willing to do it. I heard that military hospitals take those who do externship or free work for some months. Many options exist including private.

Guys,,, sorry for derailing.

Just to encourage you guys. I have moved from my former job to two other jobs since September 2020. I invested lockdown period in diving deeply in Data Science. I knew Excel before but i went further in SQL, understanding database normalization, stored procedures, joins and every other stuff. Then i also went further into Algorithms, understanding clustering, logistic regression, and a whole lot. I mixed this with some understanding of Javascript frameworks a bit too. I wanted myself to be too hot for just a firm. I capped with learning about Airflow too for data pipelines and automation. Finally, with my background in Economics, I made sure to understand business concepts and understanding what happens in the economy too. My initial job was 130k gross, 2nd job I got was 160k gross, i resigned after a month for this one I am currently in now. Data is the new oil peeps. Companies are on the look out for sharp data guys that can speak insights with numbers. Videos are nice but get your hands dirty with datasets and practicing. Real world application is the main thing not just understanding the concept.

Lastly, someone said, what I cannot create, I don't understand. This should be your goal. By next year i can decide to start sending my CVs out again if this firm doesn't impress and challenge me further.... Lolz.
I have not arrived too. Its a journey, not a destination.

Pls sir, can I send a pm. I have also been studying and applying for jobs and there’s nothing yet. So morale is a lil bit low too.
I will be glad if you can mentor and nudge me in the right direction

To avoid any complex stuff. Just go to your program files and delete it.
Then reinstall a new anaconda
After so many tries it started working
I feel AVG Anti virus was responsible for the failed attempts.
What Anti virus would you recommend for Windows computer?

Bro I really want to learn, started days ago with excel and progressing well.. I need more advice on how and things to know
Dahyormine:

IMO, Power BI is Python and Excel combined, apart from ML.

initially I learnt PBI using Kiril Eremenko's course on Udemy, he only treated visualisation, in 3days I was done and I felt like what's the hype about PBI since its only Drag and drop... lol
I went back learning python till I was comfortable.

I was making research, then i discovered I could do more with PBI. I went back and got another video on udemy like 5gig content.
mehn this guy broke down PBI in and out.

basically PBI is divided into 3parts, visualisation, Power Query and DAX... with Power query, you can manipulate and query data to taste.
with DAX, you can carry out any data analysis calculation(This is deep).
Formally, when I wanted to do any anything involving datetime analysis and Forecast, I would use Statsmodel's ARIMA in Python, and that could take average of 10lines of serious Code, when I came across PBI, I could forecast with 3-4 clicks... mehn I was stunned.
most people don't know that one can Webscrape with PBI, you can do allota wonders with that monster package.

I would advice everyone to take full advantage of it if you really wanna go deep in Data Analytics.

you can contact me for materials or link to good materials.
peace

Edit:
When it comes to Business Intelligence, it has Data modelling ability where you can link many Datasets together so they interact as one and so many more.

Apt. Understanding business concepts in relation to the firm's problems is the most important thing to learn. The tech skills are good but if you can't convey insight to fix a coy's problems especially as a business data analyst, you will find people who just know how to use Excel to do wonders getting ahead of you who know Python, Deep Learning, Machine Learning and other fancy tools.

Solving problems is the number one thing. In my work place, all you have is different scattered data sets. The trick is knowing what to do with what and ultimately using that knowledge to drive results/deliver insight in a way that's understood by the key decision makers of the company and also hit their KPIs.

NL is my favourite social media platform simply because of threads like this. Once again, massive thanks to op and other contributors.
