Guys, try and put a call to the consulate. Your expedited appointment may be approved just like mine was this morning. I called this contact (‭+234 1 227 8955‬)and my emergency appointment was approved for Lagos, next Friday. Please try this too. May Allah perfect our affairs.

Caveat: this is my first application. I have not been denied recently and I only completed my regular application last Thursday, when I selected April 2021. I don’t know if the information helps.

Good morning all.

Hi, you may have to call CGI because even single applicants get similar message. Speak to them to get resolution.

Sorry about the delay. In your next interview, try to be upfront about the reason for the denial. Be sincere, acknowledge it, including giving a compelling reason why it happened. Just my thought

The appointment wahala this time is tiring.

Bayland guest house. 54 Forsythe Street. It has a huge lister generator in front. Just tell the Uber or Bolt driver to key in the hotel's name and you'd get to the place.

5k, 8k but the 5k room is OK for 5k . I used it yesterday.

Visa approved!!!
Lagos
PhD, fully funded... No deficit but I still went with my personal bank statement.
MSc 5.00/5.00 CGPA

Transcript (lengthy but I wanna share everything to enlighten us because I also learnt from ppl's extensive transcripts)

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning and happy new month (didn't care weda she heard or not)
VO: So where are you going to?
Me: I'm going to Bleep uni to continue my PhD studies in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry (I misplaced it but I was in control and didn't withdraw)
VO typed for some minutes and continues: so why this university?
Me: I chose (had to follow Fairheart's instructions to personalize) the university of... because of the work of Prof X on A and B. This is actually in line with my research which is on cancer and genetics having had an experience where my mum was almost a cancer patient (this is personal too and I know the Whites appeal to conscience. So I wanted to show them "intent"wink. When I reached out to Prof and we discussed on my research interest and previous publications, he accepted to give me a spot and be my thesis supervisor. He's currently my thesis supervisor (I emphasized it again).
VO: What's your highest degree?
Me: I have (personalized again) Masters in Biochemical Toxicology where I made the overall best grade.
VO: followed up... Do you have transcript to show for that?
Me: Yes I do... I presented it to her.
After going thru it, I presented my undergraduate award certificate as best student, and she said no, no problem.
VO: types for "eternity" and uttered those golden words... I intend approving your visa... Bla bla bla. Keep your I-20, etc etc. Go to the window at... and pay your reciprocity fee ☺

I NEVER underestimated the power of prayers.. I NEVER DID. My whole month of November was dedicated to praise and thanksgiving every midnight

Mr Fairheart really thought me how to personalize my response and I want to sincerely appreciate him. I had to modify my response and reach out in private chat and he'd give me his verdict. God bless you sir!!!

I printed out everything I can think of... Abstract of my publications (someone was asked if he has publications and he said no), transcripts undergrad and MSc, certificate of award, etc etc. I understood that they love evidence and not mere words and I'm grateful it paid off when I was asked for mine.

*we did the necessary greetings and finger prints*
vo: i see you’ve been refused visa before, why is that?
Me: I believe the visa consular officer wasn’t convinced
Vo: why wasnt he/she convinced
Me; i think because of what happened in 2018
Vo; yea, what did happen in 2018
Me: after completing my undergraduate program, I returned to the states in 2018 and did not enroll in classes because -
Vo: *cuts me off* were you not informed by the school that not enrolling would lead to your I-20 being terminated?
Me: I was, but only when it was about to be terminated
VO: *types for a bit*... so why didnt you go back? Why didnt you continue
(My nervous dumbass thought he meant this year)
Me: I came back for Christmas to visit my family and renew my visa and it got denied.
Vo: I’m sorry I cant issue your visa. Good luck

My nerves always get to me and it really messes me up.

So the story is basically this; I’m a Pharmacy student. Second year into pharmacy school. On finishing my undergrad in 2017 December, I came home, renewed my visa and went back in January. I majored in pre-pharmacy which is basically just the pre-requisites to get into pharmacy school. When I returned to the states Jan 2018, I didnt enroll in classes because I thought my i-20 would cover me since my Pharmacy school -even if I have gotten admission - starts mandatorily in the fall (august). I had returned to America for prospective interviews which is part of the interview process. I had applied to 3 pharmacy programs. I got an interview for my current school sometime in April and got admitted in May.
Regarding my I-20 termination, I was not informed when I hadn’t registered in classes. Only time the Intl. Student Office reached out was to inform me on a Friday that my I-20 would be terminated the following Monday. I went straight to her office said Monday and she said there was nothing she could do about it. I’d have to wait for my admission into Pharmacy school to file for reinstatement with USCIS... which i did.
I was also instructed to still follow F1 visa rules which meant enrolling in my pharmacy classes by fall as I waited to hear back on my reinstatement... which I did.
My reinstatement got approved and I got a new i-20.
Pls help embarassed

It surprising that a US student wont know that if you are not registered in any semester that would lead to been out of status

What I dont understand after your i20 got reinstated why didnt you remain in the US and finish your program . You took so many risky steps, surely you could have done Christmas in the US. .... I dont knowhow you can fix it because convincing a VO now will be highly subjective
Some might say yes some might say no , so down to pot of luck .

I pray it all gets sorted because it so painful

Tell your sponsor to get the official or what is obtainable for this purpose. Since it is genuine, it won't matter if there's a stamp on it or not.

Hello house
I would be applying for fall 2021, undergraduate degree 3.75/5 political science, i would like to go for master in course like international affairs or international development since it’s related to my undergraduate degree.

For those in America or anyone else. I would like to know job opportunities after school, seems like those in science and technology get more job in USA.
Anyone who has studied this course or something related should please reply.

Thank you.
Hello friends any insight on this, her question is germane to me also.

Can a medical professional going for a professional degree not used to wearing suits wear Jeans and Tshirt?

By all means, you can most definitely wear a tshirt and jeans. Infact this is the Tshirt that you should wear so that they will know that you are truly a serious person.
