Sad situation but in that case the question should be where do they get their weapons from it is either stolen or unlicensed from a black market and if our agencies were efficient would find a solution to that.

You are correct in the sense that some of those guns are from black markets and some are from these thugs that trafficked in guns from a neighboring Red State of Indiana and Missouri. If people don't carry weapons in America, it will be like the days of Wild Wild West. You can't compare the situation in Nigeria with America when it comes to firearms. You need to remember America is over 240 years old and Freedom of Speech is the 1st Amendment to the Constitution and Freedom to bear arms is the 2nd Amendment. Some people in America own guns for vengeance here too but the problem is that the guy you want to harm might even be more deadlier than you. I can't even tell you how many of my friends I have converted to owning guns because they will tell me that it is dangerous in a house with little children. There's safety locks on all our four guns and I keep it in my basement. My next purchase now is AR 15 and that will be my Birthday and Christmas present because I was born on Dec 25.

Illinois is a very good and prosperous State and Chicagoland is about 9 million people and only two or three neighborhoods in Chicago are really bad. That's not the reason why I become a gun owner. Policeman said, "show me your driving licence and insurance", and on seeing my name asked where I was from and I asked him what where I'm from has got to do with the cost of meat at the butchers, so he asked if he could search my car and I said go ahead but they found nothing except there was a gash in my tyre which he said was illegal, I must pay a fine and get points on my licence which would double my insurance, so I went to court to contest.

Judge said, "was you driving with a gash in the tyre or not?"
