Good morning to you all.
Last month I open a tread asking for advice regarding to planting of cassavas.
By the grace of God, I have started working, they have finished clearing the first farm land, I have also secured (rent) another farm land, I told my sister that they should start working on the second farm land too but she is insisting I should wait still February before clearing the other land, she said February is better than December in terms of cassavas plantation. I don't do farming, this is my first time of doing it because of the Assu strike. while waiting for ASUU to call of strike I decided to do something for me not to waste all time. I am working, so I put my sister in charge. I only sent her money to do it for me.
What do you think, should I wait till February before working on the other farm land or i should start working on the other land now?

Cassava can be planted any month during the raining season like from april-october,but for you to cutdown the cost of weeding your farm,it is good to plant it early or middle october,you will just spray it once with either paraquat or glyphoshate,the dry season will dry the weed off,till like may when the rain will begin and grasses will start growing again then you spray with glyphoshate again.call 08160913241 for any agriculture related consultancy.
