You will have explanations to do concerning the lump sum. Best is let the owner of the money be your sponsor and explain the relationship between both of you

if your sponsor has lumpsum in his account, do you have to explain it and show proof (receipt) of transaction.

Good morning guys, thanks for responding to my first question. Please I want know if I must have money in my personal account apart from my sponsor. If yes, what is the minimum amount I should have in my account. I've been hearing different info saying I must not present my statement of account because I'm going as a student, undergraduate for that matter, that I only need to present my sponsor's account. While some say I will be asked for my statement of account because I'm mature. I also want to know how the account thing works, do they want to see an inflow of money in my account or the just want to see my last account balance? Thank you.

Hello DjGimzy,

Personally, on some certain circumstances especially if PA is matured with work(ing) experience, I do advise it.

Best of Luck

Am 28yrs old. My account is some how empty because of the just concluded Christmas and new year celebration. I earn 100k a month, is this ok, because i intend going for the may admissions and i will end up having less than 500k in my account for the period but My sister is the sponsor of my education.

Hi

For the application, since covid started some schools will use the student copy transcript and expect the one from your institution after admission.

The fastest way is to call or send a mail to international admission or your program contact person.

It's not too late if you apply now. (I assume you wouldn't be needing supervisor commitment)

Yes I don’t need a supervisor. Thanks so much. I will send a mail or call today.

Thanks.

Good to know you're actively on it. From which VO did you receive the email?

Since you're processing under the NSE stream, wasn't the MBS you used?

I am self sponsored and they didn’t indicate which VO office

Infact they said it’s the MBS that looks fraudulent but am inside the banking hall now . Hoping to send another one and probably get a soft copy too

Thanks

I intend applying via the NSE route this month end but the only issue is medicals.

There is no medical date for this month of january.

Can i go ahead and apply and then use a webform to submit the medical result later?

Hello DjGimzy,

If your sponsor is financially sufficient, capable and reliable; and can genuinely demonstrate financial commitment to sponsor your study, then may be covered and not necessarily have to include your BS if the inflow and closing balance is poor.

However, you MAY likely be less scrutinized financially if you can demonstrate you have a solid source of income & economic level of establishment in your country.

Though there are quite few who have been successful. If you go back some pages, I think I saw a testimony of someone who is a matured applicant and recently got approval without including a personal BS. You can quote the person for hints.

Personally, I will always advice matured applicants with work experience to include personal POF. Though individual circumstances varies.

Hello Winner0718,

In this case, you are all cleared. Ensure you provide evidence of maybe the transactional page & cover page and/or telex/receipt of the transfer from your sponsor to you. Clearly highlight the section applicable to you.

Thereafter, use the LOE to do the finishing providing relevant details of the transfer and its purpose. Same applies to your sponsor's letter.

Outside this, ensure other aspects of your application is well organized to meet the required eligibility. Funds alone doesn't cut it in this visa waka.

For the MBS all you need is the ticket ID and password. They will log in and view the account statement. I guess there is a problem with the login detail. May be they can't login but they should have contacted you all this while.

It will end in praise

Hello JustMellow

When you say my sponsor should be able to demonstrate financial assistance, how will she do this. Can this be demonstrated through payment of application fee and tuition deposit or there is more to this.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Celoexpress: 11:51am On Jan 06, 2021
Hi Mr Just mellow,

Please how do i request for my bank statement/certificate for NSE for my sponsor? He uses a nigerian USD account.

Please i need advice from the experienced guys here.

Also, I do not have ielts, what kind of explanation letter do I send to the embassy?

Thank you.

JustMellow:

Hello DjGimzy,

Yes, it is very possible. The person should go to the bank in the CoR and make inquiry on how feasible to get the MBS. If its infeasible, the person should give you thw foreign BS or send directly to the embassy. At your end, write an LOE to the effect.

At this time, the NSE stream has been gracefully processed if other requirements are met. This has been evidently witnessed in some applications here.

N.B: The financial requirement states that the POF (MBS) should either be in the sponsor's or applicant's name.

Hello JustMellow,

Thank you for your very detailed explanation and analysis.
I have a question please; for a school with $25k annual Tuition and $11k annual LE; will a BS with closing balance of $66k be good enough POF for a self-sponsored student going for a 2-year MSc program?

Say:
Tuition: $25k
LE: $11k
Excess: $30k

Total: $66k.

All are in CAD.

Thanks in anticipation of your response and the response of any other member.

JustMellow:

Hello Philadelphia,

Deviating a little away from your question, there is no one required format when filling out the R & B section. However, its good to be extremely cautious so that the figures inputted in the available funds column won't outweigh the closing balance in the BS.

IRCC only requested for a year's tuition & LE and that's what is expected to be inputted in the required column. If the funds is sufficiently available, there is no harm either inputting figures for 2yrs, but with caution.

The "Other" column can as well be left empty or have a little figure inputted depending on the financial strength and the personal circumstances of PA.

The "Available Funds" should be a sum total of each column. If applicable/necessary, an extra amount can be added as an addition, maybe by $1k or 2k. This has been a tradition for me.

Back to your question, the 35k as sum up as the moniker's available funds is sufficient to cover the study cost for a year. Given that the moniker already made a full tuition payment of 21k from the 35k, the closing balance of 29k in the moniker's BA is sufficient enough to outweigh the other 13k (10k & 3k) and still be left with a sufficient balance of 16k.

The 16k will go a long way to count as sufficient for the moniker, as the VO would want to understand that the moniker's source of funds isn't in risk because of the cost of international study. To the best of my knowledge, this is how I understand it.

JustMellow:

Hello JosephYemsol,

To the best of my knowledge, I will advice you against such Gift except you have a well justifiable and strong proof of relationship over the years with any of the mentioned institutions.

A Gift of Deed holds solid weight if it comes from your parents, guardian or siblings. With proven relationship to these mentioned category of people, you don't necessarily need to include their BS but you may decide to include just the telex/receipt of transaction. However, there is no harm either to include their BS if it will help you breath better. The cover page & transactional page is also sufficient to prove the origin of the funds.

The Deed of Gift is most suitable for self-sponsored applicants. There is someone here who used the Deed of Gift and was successful.

Before considering getting a Gift Deed, ensure your level of economic establish and source of income/employment is solid. This is to avoid "Personal Asset & Financial Status" and Insufficient Funds. Ensure to analyze every aspect of your personal circumstances too.

Best of Luck

Thank you so much sir for the detailed explanation.

The gift is coming from my mum, using her school's account details (she's the owner of the primary school)

I'm also employed and I intend to provide my salary account BS, pay slip for 1 year, pension account details and also an affidavit of support from my dad ( house property worth 15m). All of these documents will be provided in addition to a 1 year tuition fee receipt and a GIC certificate of 10kcad which I will purchase using the money from the gift deed.

I hope this is fine sir? @justmellow
