Disregard any mssg/person informing you to pay in 3 months time, it's 12 month moratorium for everybody and it starts counting from the day your bank acct gets credited!

I don't think so. He might have selected 3 months as d moratorium period when filling d form cos there was a space for that in d form.

@sirBen90, I have 3 month moratorium, does it mean u have to start paying by three month? is there anyway it can be changed to 12 months?, pls help

If you have three months moratorium, it means that you have to start paying once the third month elapses. I doubt if it can be changed. You already accepted the terms and conditions. But then, if they get a directive from a higher authority to generally extend the moratorium from 3 to 12 months for those concerned, it will give ample time for investment and payback.

It's not 12 months moratorium on every agreement though. It showed 3 months for some that I have seen, even though they selected 12 months during the application process.

I know of a few persons that carefully selected 12 months moratorium during the application process but got 3 months moratorium in the offer and acceptance. The bank actually has the right to cut it down, but applicants have the option to reject the offer or not.

The conditions on your Offer Letter are what you should follow. So if your Offer Letter says you have three months moratorium, then it means you'll start repaying the loan three months from the day you received the funds. You have accepted the terms and conditions of the loan offer, so it can't be changed.

But make sure you look carefully at what is written on your offer letter. For example, the offer letter below shows a 12 month moratorium, meaning the person has 12months b4 repayment, but if yours is showing as 3months, then it means you have 3months b4 repayment.

You're right but I think it is reasonable to argue everyone is placed on a year moratorium. If not, those placed on 3 month moratorium whom have been paid since the inception of the disbursement ought to have started paying by now. It is well over 3 months.
Or has anyone been paying back by now?

As in, the trauma of seeing people that accepted after you getting approved and gotten disbursement in a short period is enough.

I understand how you feel, but just be patient with them.

my sister never received approval sms until I went online only to discover she has been approved, I accepted her offer on 1/1/21 we are only being patient and backing up with prayer.

I think the whole thing has been changed to 12 months moratorium and 36 months tenor because when I accepted the offer it was 3 months moratorium and 12 months tenor but if I input my bvn now it has changed to the attached, what I don't understand is after the moratorium period are we going to pay for 36 months which is 3 years or the 3 yrs has included the moratorium period meaning the repayment will be 2 yrs? Any reasonable info would be appreciated

They deducted only d interested for a year moratorium if u have 12 months moratorium. After that period u will start paying that 9% interest rate yearly.

3 years tenure, 1 year moratorium means you won't start paying until after 1 year and you will have 2 years left to pay d loan. D interest of that 1 year moratorium has been deducted upfront. U will then pay 9% interest rate yearly for d remaining 2 years.
