@OP, I believe people's complexion change as they get older but that's till to get to a certain age. Afterwards, I believe it's only poor diet, overexposure to sun rays, poor hygiene or cream that can change that. I know people say it's hardship but hardship only leads to any of the things I listed. So I actually think you'd figure out the reason yourself if you pay close attention.

Even after she had all her children, she was white still until she clocked 55 that her fairness began to reduce. Even if you see her, you won't believe she's 60+.

So about the OP, I can say it could be due to age or an adulterated skin care product.

And if neither was the case, I have no idea of what could be the cause.

Yes, I agree age could cause it but I believe skin colour change happens before one becomes an adult and when one is aging. I think middle age person shouldn't be changing colours except for those factors I mentioned. I only mentioned cause your post suggested she might have gotten her fairness with the aid of cream.
