Go to their office. They ll input the no in their database to check its availability. If it's available, you can still get it but if it's reassigned, there is nothing you can do

I have reached to them on social media, the representative ran a check and said it was assigned to someone. but the thing is throughout 2020 I call the number every single day and it's always switched off.

They already told you it's reassigned. Wait for a few months if it's inactive before you can try and get it back
