Buhari Approves Posting Of 95 Ambassadors – Designate by JosEast(m): 8:16am On Jan 13, 2021
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the posting of Ambassadors-Designate to Nigerian Missions abroad.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Gabriel Aduda, who disclosed this in a statement said the list includes 43 Career Ambassadors and 52 Non-career Ambassadors.

Aduda said the process of requesting Agreement from the prospective host countries have commenced.

“The Ministry also wishes to inform that there will be an induction course for the Ambassador-Designates and their spouses which will hold on a date to be announced shortly to prepare and facilitate movement of the Envoys to their respective Missions,” the statement read.

My guess is that Buhari even forgot there were ambassadors that had been confirmed.
It must av been by chance someone or people continued reminding him of them till finally his brain now connected;or,which I think maybe what really transpired,one of the cabal members in Aso rock just did the posting and got him to sign one way or the other after the ambassadors themselves or vested interests kept disturbing the presidency about it.

The real baba go slow.Same time it took this same president to form a government cabinet-a vital fulcrum of administering a nation.Then he will again blame whatsoever for his cluelessness & indecision yet some zombies will make excuses for him.

Imagine Nigeria does not have representation in those nations those envoys are supposed to serve for a whooping 6 months when vibrant foreign relation is a vital part of global diplomacy.

Ask your self, did he do this promptly? Check the time lapse since August last year till now. Over five months and this is an issue that can be concluded in not more than 60 days. Does it sound wise and reasonable to you?

60 days? Before they presented names to national assembly, they were supposed to knw the country in which each ambassador designate will serve, after they were passed by national assembly, he is supposed to have signed it highest 7days.

all the paperwork will be done by civil servants, his own is just to sign , every other issues will be handled by ministry official afterwards
