My only advise is that whenever u check into a hotel room u can ask them to lift up the bed or find means to see the under.. All these juju boys na wetin them take dey steal spiritually.. Changing hotel rooms and dropping their voodoo under there.. It might sound foolish but don't be surprised at what u might find underneath that bed.

Isnt it better to put bad-market hotels in the open so ppl know to avoid them and the hotels can die natural deaths.

That was how someone came to knock on our (i and 2 bridesmaids lodged by our bride-to-be friend) room door by 2/3am shocked

:, with sleepy eyes and still on bed i said who is that? after several tiny knocks, he said he is room service and he brought food (we didn't order food, we already ate before sleeping). I ignored and slept off, he didn't knock again, the other ladies were fast asleep. Next morning we were wondering what happened and who could have have come to knock in the midnight. We just thank God i didn't open. There is even no way i would have opened the door at that time for anybody even if it was the bride.

This might sound funny but maybe we should include the importance of checking that your hotel bed doesn't have bedbugs? I kid you not, I travelled to east Africa in late 2019 and picked up the nasty creatures from one of the hotels we stayed in, and all the hotels we booked were pretty decent.

I haven't been able to shake these things off since, wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy

All I do is patronize hotels with CCTV. The more I use hotels, the more I learn when it comes to safety consciousness.
