There is something i observe about we Christians which i term the Sunday hypocrisy.

We tend to act as saints specifically on Sunday then we go on to leave our normal lives every other day.

Some of us read our bibles only on Sundays or attend church only on Sundays.

Most of us pretend to be saints in church, we sing beautiful hymns, speak in tongues, weep in church but meet but another day, its a different person. Like we are living a double life .

There is an alcoholic in my church that drinks everyday except on Sundays.

To me i see this as practicing Churchianity rather than Christianity.

Is like we tend to think that God is only in church forgetting he is everywhere. What we do is eye service Christianity.

I will like us to make a difference in 2021. Let us do what is expected of us to do.

Matthew 6:1

“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven."

@SoBright101 - it appears to be, and in many cases is, because of the sin and greed - perpetuated by a fake prosperity gospel - which has nothing to do with the Gospel of the Lord JESUS. This has existed since the church was established (Jude 1:4), at least the church in Smyrna (one of the several early churches in Asia minor - Revelation 2:9), etc, because not all who claim to be of CHRIST are His!

The Lord JESUS, The CHRIST, says "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ - Matthew 7:20-23

While one can objectively observe and note these things, based on what the Bible says about such things, one should -
(1) Reserve Judgment: "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you." - Matthew 7:1-2
"Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God." - 1 Corinthians 4:5

and

(2) Ponder one's own salvation, by the grace and mercy of GOD, from the wages of sin (death - Romans 6:23).

-----------
"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;" - Philippians 2:12

The church is like a big hospital. Just as you have the medical personnel in the hospital, you also have various shades of illnesses, sicknesses, accidents AND visitors!

It is not a surprise

Yea.

I know Sunday is the day Jesus resurrected and we regard it has a special day but that does not mean its the only day we become Christians.

While this is true, it's not restricted to Christianity.

An average human tendency is to claim to be better either morally, economically, and otherwise.

So when it comes to christianity, you should allow God be the judge because he is the one the supposed Christian is serving not you.

The supposed pretenders as you call them might just make heaven at the very last so worry about your path with Christ

You think as a man thinks.

Avoid Worldly Wisdom
"Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” - 1 Corinthians 3:18-20

Jesus is a fictitious character invented by the Romans.

The Jesus character is an adaptation of various older religioussic characters from all across the globe i.e Apis, Buddha, Dionysus, Ela, Horus, Krishna, Merlin, Osiris, Romulus, Serapis e.t.c

Especially Horus the son of Isis and Osiris.

Pyramid Texts dated Horu's rule as Pharoah of KM.T c. 2400-2300 BCE.

Furthermore, the Jesus character is a continuation of the worship of the Serapis image.

Serapis Christos is the name of the Greco-Roman god that was worshiped back in those days.

Serapis Christus came about as a result of the Greeks plagiarising their own fake god ‘Serapis'.

Serapis came about as a result of Ptolemy (I) also known as Soter. The followers of the church of Soterism were the original Christians until the Romans manufactured todays Christianity making use of the same fake Hellenistic concepts.

The Romans assimilated the image of Serapis Christus as well as his doctrine of salvation.

This is alleged to have taken place at the Ecumenical Councils assemble by the Roman Emperor Constantine.

The Romans manufactured their version of Christianity before making it into their official religion.

Prior to the Roman manufacture of Christianity, they Romans and Greeks worshiped Serapis Christus alongside Isis and Horus. Even the Roman Emperor Caligula built a double Temple in honour of the African Goddess Au-Set.

The Romans then invented the Jesus character and gave him Serapis status of “Christ”, went on to burn all the books in their vicinity and went on a killing spre under the pretence that their newly created religion gave them the right to cause havoc all around the globe.

The Romans invented the Jesus character in order to pacify a militaristic rebel group present in the Palestinian regions.

And later the Romans would manufactured their version of Christianity and used it against their own peasants before exporting their campaigns of terror around the globe
