Atiku is a perennial Presidential candidate always touting his credential as a detribalised Nigerian and best person to lead Nigeria.

Today I read his comment where he said Nigerians have the right to protest peacefully in regards to the Lekki protestors arrested yesterday.

An arrest of 40 protestors, who were all unharmed and quickly bailed and charged to appear in court at a later date, is worth Atiku's immediate comment and response but not the murder, rape, maiming, kidnapping, agricultural destruction and mayhem his Fulani people, for a while now , have wreaked on the people in the Southern hemisphere of Nigeria with tacit support from all our federal armed and security forces.

Federal Government power is being abused blatantly to aid what appears a nefarious Fulani expansionist agenda and Atiku is silent over that but can comment quickly over a non-event protest in Lagos.

Is this acceptable from a Fulani who wants to lead all Nigerians and does it not show Atiku is incapable of doing anything differently to move Nigeria forward with his unacceptable silence over the atrocities and misery his people are causing Nigerians in the South?

Op.
Useless Buhari operative. Check your brain, who's the current president whose job is to provide security.
What has your father, Buhari said about the killings?
If your brain is not malfunctioning, that is the question you should be asking.

Stick to the topic and comment on Atiku. Start another thread on Tinubu to add to the millions that already exist.

This thread was started for the sake of objectivity because it seems Northern leaders always slide under the radar and escape scrutiny while the South savage their own leaders brutally.

We have seen some extremely distasteful comment from Northerners, Like Bala Mohammed and even El Rufai, over this dire and grave hijack of the South by Fulani bandits and herdsmen.

I have noticed that Northerners bold enough to comment always speak first to defend the right of Fulanis to carry AK47 assault rifles and "live anywhere" but they never console Southern victims or show any remorse for the actions of their kinsmen. They actually even warn southerners to not "harrass" their Fulani brethren.

Then we have the likes of Atiku who remains silent, with 2023 in mind, escaping without criticism while the entire Nigeria, including the South, only focuses on the silence of Southern leaders.

Why are Nigerians not vociferously charging Atiku and other Fulanis to show they are fit to lead for all Nigerians despite evidence from their behaviour showing the contrary to be the case?

Whether you like it or not, Buhari is on his way out. Forward-looking people plan ahead. We have all seen and accepted the failure of Buhari regarding the security of Nigerian lives and property.

Why continue to go on about him instead of ensuring those who want to replace him are not 'more of the same'?

If you want Atiku’s opinion on the herders crisis, go and read what Bala Mohammed had to say on the issue. They are both PDP members and Fulani from the north east. They share the same perspective.

He wants to be President. He has actually contested to be President and would be if he had won.

Also, in case you forgot, Atiku was the last Presidential candidate of the PDP and is the leader of the opposition Party of Nigerian who is always compelled to articulate the stance of his PDP Party and what they will do differently if facing the challenges the ruling Party confronts.

Failing to speak at all is not an option unless Atiku is an insincere politician or a tacit supporter of what is going on right now.

He has made it clear he is contesting in 2023. Why can he not weigh in on a matter of national importance especially when the onus falls on him more than others to show, as a Fulani, he is dedicated to taking tough decisions, regardless of whose Ox is gored, that is best for all Nigerians.

oga Atiku is a private citizen now, he can only share his opinion or criticism to the govt but despite his status there is nothing much he could do. you urging him to speak is like he has something to change or it is an obligation for him to do so. and also remember that there is limit to what a private citizen of his status can say or comment abouy

Abi. Is the excuse Atiku is not President even tenable considering he is the official leader of the opposition PDP Party till a new candidate emerged in 2022?

What do opposition political leaders do worldwide? Go into hiding when their nation is facing critical issues the ruling Party is not addressing competently?

Lol. You are not very smart or knowledgeable about national political structure plus official political opposition and its priimary duties.

Tinubu is in the ruling Party and is not officially the head of the Party. He must leave the Party if he wants to be a relentless critic of it since doing so while still a member of the APC undermines the chances of his Party in winning future election and is a direct act of sabotage.

Atiku is officially the leader of the opposition Party of Nigeria. He should be speaking aggressively about the misrule of PMB and the APC over the Fulani herdsmen/bandit issue unless his desire to protect his ethnic affiliation is greater than his desire to do what is best by all Nigerians.

It is Atiku’s duty as the official head of the opposition Party to speak always to check the misrule of the Party in power and present his Party as capable of doing better.

His reason for not speaking, when he is obligated to, is what you should tell us rather than distract us with you usual blind hatred of Tinubu. He can't speak about the innocuous arrest and release of 40 protestors while remaining silent about the murder, mining, rape, kidnapping and financial devastion of others Fulani bandits and herdsmen have been supervising for a long time now.

Oga, why would the leader of the opposition Party be waiting for a member of the ruling Party to speak before he gives his opinion and the stance of his Party over an issue portending great danger for the peace, unity and security of the Nation he wants to lead?

Hear yourself na and stop disgracing us in case non-Nigerians are reading. Opposition politics is not about silence, inaction, hiding away or waiting to take a cue from others before speaking.

In a country where political practice is purist, Atiku would be forced to speak if he does not want to do so willingly.

You think atiku is a mumu like you southerners that continues to abuse, insult, ridicule yourselves over pdp apc.

Aboki are not idiotic southerners that can be divided by political parties. When jona was contesting for 2015, his principal secetary was working for northern interest.

Did you not hear the controller gen of customs dikko and nsa dasuki query why efcc was arresting them when they worked for the sucess of apc aka nothern interest.

Southerners continue to fight yourselves in d name of apc and pdp. By 2023 nothernerns will team up together irrespective of party to ensure the presidency remains in the north.

Might seem early but we have to plan for life after Buhari and that included inspecting the behaviour of those who want to replace him, especially in times of national crisis, like Atiku who is the current official leader of the opposition Party.
