Yes Nnewi resembles a village but in terms of industry they are trying more than many places and it is the fault of the Anambra State government that they have done very little for that town.

About Ogun, despite its poor infrastructure, the likes of P&G, Nestle, Nigerian Breweries, Lafarge, Hayat have all built multi million dollar industries because Ogun has two things in its favor. Gas pipelines and proximity to the seaport. Anambra needs to invest in gas pipelines to Onitsha and creating industrial layouts to get the big multinational investments.

The dumbo has changed his second moniker, a state his current governor is practically doing nothing, Fulanis are chasing there people out of their communities but his major problem is Anambra state, trying to rub shoulder with people far better than them, you claimed to generate more IGR but Anambra is building more infastructures than your backward state, Anambra state ranked lowest in poverty and unemployment rate in Nigeria, Anambra ranked second in sustainability index, Anambra top in education and health sector, Anambra won

Lolz, please you mktinsight and who is the real Anambra son? Who speaks or act like Anambra son.

Oo, don't know know is the real indigine of Anambra state than you.

It always pain you whenever you heard of new development coming into Anambra state, the other day you said Anambra don't deserve to have industries that it should be built in Enugu or Western state then they will have a branch office in Anambra, you said Anambra International Airport can't be built that the earlier pictures are not the Anambra airport, then what's happening now, and you want to kill your self on nairaland with obi1kenobi your moniker. Mind you this is just the beginning, the real cry and die is coming

I just want to contribute in sharing this video so that those of you with recalcitrant relatives in the north can convince them to move to other places or come home with their families NOW!
Even if they don't want to return, they should at least send home their wives and children.

We know Igbos in the north are the most stubborn characters in thinking once their neighborhood is calm right now, it must remain so forever. They also pay little attention to the fact that once things start and reprisals in the south follow, even to run away become blocked. Let them listen now and not come back to say nobody warned them or convinced them to steer clear of the danger looming in northern Nigeria.

Nobody should blame anyone if they fail to heed the message. na dem wey dey risk the lives of their children for pennies they are picking in the north, na dem f00lish pass. Some of their children could become the Dangotes of tomorrow if they they don't risk the lives of these children by keeping them in the north under the current situation.

I ask again, how close is that Anambra Cargo Airport to Onitsha. I hope it's very close. We Igbos need to do away with our clannish attitude and begin to think big. We need to built great cities and to do that, if possible, that Airport should be renamed Onitsha International Airport and all the areas between current Onitsha area to the airport should be grouped under Onitsha metropolitan area. We need to expand Onitsha beyond it's original limits in order to compete favourably.

Your exact context is what I quoted and whether you used "may" or not, you still made a presumption. grin If I said "the world may have been created by the flying spaghetti monster", your puzzlement at my comment would be no different from what it would be if I said "the world was created by the flying spaghetti monster". You're trying to be too clever for your own good and look ridiculous. Then he doubles the clownery and goes ahead to say that my exact initial assumption was exactly what he was saying by stating the informal sector was not captured. Again, based on what? Your study of NBS methodology? All Nigerian GDP estimations by any institution from NBS to IMF include the informal sector because it is a very large part of the Nigerian economy - the largest chunk of the economy infact. Sectors like Agriculture (which accounts for most of our GDP and employment), trading, real estate, arts and entertainment etc are primarily driven by the informal sector:
http://www.nigerianstat.gov.ng/download/403
So you're talking nonsense to say it was "not captured"

There are few towns more overrated in Nigeria than Nnewi. I spend all my time in Anambra at yuletide periods around the Onitsha-Idemili North area and I'm also well acquainted with Awka. But I had never been to Nnewi since childhood until touring the place a few years ago and I was surprised at how rural the place was looking: the famous city of billionaires that Anambra braggarts love to beat their chest about.
Ogun's industries are not in Abeokuta which is the seat of government and more of a residential area that is more comparable to Awka, so using Abeokuta as your barometer for Ogun economic activity is nonsense. I don't even understand what you're rambling about in the emboldened about Ekiti. Maybe reframe the comment so it could make sense. How Ogun got into debt is not my business and I don't care to research their domestic politics and it is not relevant to the fact that Ogun generates far more in IGR than Anambra.

I have followed most videos of Igbo towns and what I conclude is that 99% of our towns are FILTHY and only fit for PIGS.

I have investigated and found out the Local Governments responsible for cleaning towns have been destroyed by the governors who seize their allocations. What a pity and wickedness.

Some of my colleagues have been wanting to go with me on vacation to Nigeria but I can't bring them because apart from insecurity, they will call me and my people PIGS when we get back to Europe. No wonder many Nigerians have concluded not to come back. It's a shame

When can we as a people leave wickedness and do the right thing for the good of our people.

If the LGAs are allowed to do their work by GOVERNORS not taking away their allocations, many jobs can be created for locals, rural - urban migration will reduce, economic activities will pick up, quality of life will be improved and diasporans will come back home with more FDI

We should find out and vote in people who do not have NIGERIAN or BUSINESS AS USUAL ORIENTATION to introduce that other life (WHOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT) to our people

Though you are talking about igbo or Nigeria generally. Most rural areas in Anambra are decent because they have good roads, schools, hospitals, etc, more than most places in the region and Nigeria at large. Some people that work in Awka or Onitsha comes from their home towns and then save the high rent money

The Nigerian government is to establish automotive industrial parks in three states to promote local production of vehicles, Jelani Aliyu, the Director General, National Automotive Design and Development Council has said.

Mr Aliyu made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.

According to him, the parks will be sited in Nnewi in Anambra State, home to Innoson Motors, the first indigenous motor manufacturing firm in Nigeria, Ede in Osun State and Kaduna.

He said the programme is part of the National Automotive Industry Development Plan, aimed at promoting local production of vehicles.

“We are building three automotive industrial parks that will be comprehensive facilities where the necessary infrastructure will be provided and investors can easily come in and play,” he said.

“As the Federal Government is promoting local production of vehicles, key to that is creating the necessary environment, and we have done that with the automotive policy.

We are working on making it easier and more advantageous to produce vehicles locally because we believe the difference must be created between vehicles built elsewhere and those built in Nigeria.

“When you build a vehicle in Nigeria, you are giving our youths jobs, empowering Nigerians and creating better life.

“But when you bring in a fully built vehicle, you are taking resources outside Nigeria and that is not adding much value to us our economy,” he said.

Mr Aliyu said the automotive policy stipulates that cars assembled in Nigeria have zero per cent tariff for Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits and not more than 10 per cent tariff for a semi-knocked-down (SKD) kits.

He said the government was also working on a 10-year tax holiday for investors in the automotive industry.

The NADDC boss said that work was also at concluding stage in the building of automobile testing centres to ensure global standard compliant in the sector

We have finished the construction of automotive testing facilities in Lagos, Enugu, and Zaria and should be up and running this year.

“Any spare part or component that is brought or made in Nigeria must meet minimum global standard otherwise it will be deemed illegal and we won’t allow it to be sold in the Nigeria market.

“All these are steps the Federal Government is taking to ensure that the necessary environment is created in Nigeria for investors.

“We are to not to go out there to produce those vehicles but we will work closely with investors in the private sector to ensure they get the necessary support,” Mr Aliyu said.

Anyone that believes this Federal government is an incurable f00l.

These people are so bitter that even after they have removed everything, used their herdsmen to kidnap our people for ransom, they still haven't brought us to our knees.

The last thing they will do is set up anything in the southeast to foster economic or technological development. Their mission in our land is clear to even the blind.

In 1961, they laid out a clear agenda on what they consider "One Nigeria" scam was needed for;

“This New Nation called Nigeria, should be an estate of our great grandfather, Uthman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities in the North as willing tools, and the South, as conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us, and never allow them to have control over their future” – Sir Ahmadu Bello

Tuesday 16th February 2021, over 200 students were Inducted into the Bosch- Innoson Kiara Academy (IKA) training programme in automobile maintenance for youths in the five (5) States of South Eastern Nigeria at Nnewi, Anambra State.

BOSCH – a German firm specialising in auto diagnostic equipment has partnered with the training academy of Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing (IVM) to train 200 unemployed youths from the 5 States in South Eastern Nigeria.

The training will take place at the Nnewi and Enugu centres. The duration of the programme is 3 years.
The Chairman/CEO of Innoson Vehicles, Chief Innocent Chukwuma OFR while addressing the newly admitted trainees stated that the students on graduation will go back to their respective states to establish BOSCH-IKA automobile maintenance centres. They will in turn train more participants in their respective states in the remaining 2 years.
Chief Chukwuma further urged them to make good use of the opportunity through making sure that they acquire all the knowledge. He also encouraged the CEO of Innoson Kiara Academy IKA, Mr. Endi Ezengwa and all the lecturers to keep up with the good works.
The Chief Executive Officer, IKA, Mr. Endi Ezengwa in his address appreciated Chief Chukwuma for the role he has played in establishing the Academy which offers the youths platform to be trained and empowered. He described Innoson as a man of vision who has touched lives.
Ezengwa while addressing the students adviced them to be focused and passionate. According to him 'What we do here is human transformation. Your knowledge, skills and knowledge will not only be build but transformed. You will be trained for six months in the factory and the remaining six months in your respective departments".
Mrs Chizoba Adaigwe (a project developer) equally stressed that the academy is determined to change the narrative.
Our network is interested in developing the south east of Nigeria which could be an engine for the country. This programme is channeled at bringing together a German and Southeast company to work and partner together and train our youths who are the future. This program is set out to encourage the youths and harnessing their skills".
Innoson Vehicles will support the establishment of the various BOSCH-IKA automobile maintenance centres in the States by providing some basic diagnostic equipment. The graduates will be attached to experienced mechanics in their various localities for more support.
Innoson Kiara Academy (IKA) staff will visit all the centres and provide further training and assessments for apprentices on the programme. National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) and National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) will provide final examinations and certification.

Innoson Kiara Academy will support successful graduates who wish to be entrepreneurs to seek funds from the Central Bank of Nigeria to support the establishment of their respective auto maintenance workshops.
