Concerning Embassy today..

guys I have a fried who is a travel agent from Benin. He told me that all his client were sent back today at the embassy cos they did not have first class and they booked category A so they sent all back today.

So guys, if you don't have first class, Don't waste your time for category A.

Information reaching me is that the embassy is so serious in sending people back if you cannot present evidence of already funded blocked account. Even if you have funded but yet to receive funding / blocking confirmation, they will still send you back.

So guys be very careful not to waste your precious time with that embassy. They are very strict with having first class for category A plus you must fund your block account or else no interview for you.

Please desist from arguing especially when you are sure of what' you saying.

Guys yesterday I went to the embassy for my students visa interview booked under cat A and paulinus turned me back just because of blocked acct after waiting over years to get an appointment date. After all the expenses I made travelling from East to vi Lagos and at last everything ends in dissapointment upon after presenting all my proof of the transfer... receipt, bank statement and email letter from the bank. After pleading with paulinus he neglected my pleas and I was like the ground should open let me fall in. As I was leaving people ask me what happened and when I told them they said that the German consulate is the worst consulate there in Lagos. They throw people away and reject people's application for a reason or no reason. Fellow nairalanders I will advise if u dont have ur block acct better cancel earlier or don't go at all in orther not to waste ur pressures time and money.

For an English taught program, would the embassy accept the Duolingo English test as proof of english language proficiency?

You guys should make this clearer. Are they rejecting Cat A (2.1 - 2017and above), or are they bouncing people coz of blocked account? I no understand.

Was it not stated on the the German website since last year that a proof of blocked amount confirmation is required or SL before any application will be accepted?!!!

Why do we have to be always test faith? That's not good, when the Devil is not tempting and one go ahead and be testing faith!

Finally I have been vindicated!!!. I withdrew from saying mind inhere over weeks tho based on unnecessary abuse from one guy. Made it clear that Cat A is for PhD, 1st class, and scholarship students but the fool kept showing his ignorance, but actually not happy that an innocent soul have fallen a victim.

Guys, i need help/advice with something.
i am a graduate of mechanical engineering but currently working as a software developer (with close to 2 years of experience) i planned doing a MSc course in computer science (web/data engineering related) since it's inline with my present line of work. i got about 4 schools from DAAD offering the course, i contacted them just to be sure of my eligibility but they said without a BSc degree in computer science, i won't be granted admission.
currently i am not so sure of how to proceed from this spot.
please does anyone know of any school that can likely offer me admission probably base on experience instead of BSc??
any advice on another course I can likely take that is related to web/data engineering?

No. U don't need any other account blocking. Obviously u are going to get a job and fend for urself the rest of time. The initial deposit is to be ensure ur not stranded the moment u get to Germany. Otherwise u find many student loitering around in the country.
