So I just found this young bird by the corner of my house. Obviously, it fell from a nest very high on a tree beside my house.

The mother has been flying around the place but it doesn't look like there's much she can do for the little bird.

Is there anything I can do to help it too apart from climbing up to the nest to put it back there. That's not even an option because the tree is too tall.

Anybody know anything else I can do?

It looks so innocent and has been sleeping all through.

Beautiful bird. For you to have shown great care for her, that means you probably want to see her grow under your care. Trust me, it's a very nice experience.
You know what, Locate all these herb sellers. We called them "Elewe omo" in yoruba. Buy her a nest. Ask the Elewe omo the food such bird eat. They will definitely know as they deal with birds. Put her in the nest and hang her around somewhere in your compound and watch her beautifully grow up. It's a nice experience. Trust me, all the very best!

I love animals and conservation, but this is a weaver bird...quelea. That thing is a pest on cereal crops and fruit trees, worse than locusts. Make pepper soup with it.

Guy drop the bird bcuz the mother is training her how to fly that's the birds ways of learning flying,she did not fall is a learning process.just drop her where her mother can have access to her you will be surprise she will get back to the tree top.have witnessed something like that before.
She will start climbing from the lower part of the branches then back to the top,drop her asap before her mother loose hope on her.

This one na issue? Eeyaaah my person dey form good Samaritan, no problem as you help the bird may bird also help you back bcoz I doubt God have time to reward human being for helping animals, He never even reward those wey help humans like them finish. I just pray the reward won't come from owl lolllllll
