Decided to watch this animation when I found it was the sequel of Ne Zha which was quiet intresting. But like some sequels, failed to lived up to the level of its predecessors. Way below Ne Zha. Felt like a waste of my time.

The most annoying part of it was I got fooled by the 83% rating RT gave it and thought it'd be as good as Ne Zha if not more. I prefer to watch an average movie knowing fully well it's average instead having high hopes only to be disappointed.

Honestly those ratings atimes can be misleading.

I couldn’t even understand the post credit scenes where New Zha was shown.
Also L.O.R.D part 2 was somehow underwhelming too, the part 1 was better imo.

I had a WTF moment when I was watching that post credit. Like, what exactly was the message they were trying to pass with nonsense? It'd probably make sense in part 3 because it doesn't make any iota of sense currently. They showed Jiang Ziya in the post credit scene of Ne Zha, but the post credit of Jiang Ziya with Ne Zha was dumb and confusing. That's exactly the problem with this part 2. The storyline was weak and all over the place.

Lets hope it gets explained in part 3 which to be honest, I'm not ecstatic to watch.

Not bad, not good either. The director or script writer didn't utilize the rich potentials the film had, to give us a great movie. Not that I'm surprised, though. Movie adaptations of video games have always been avearage at best and mostly sucked. They just can't seem to get it right.

I feel like the movie would have been better as a mini series to give it enough time for more character development; introduce a bit more monsters, fight scenes and space out the story arc.
