Usually, you have to show a net worth of ~$300,000 and be able to invest ~$125,000 or $75,000 easily.

Yup, purchasing a house is no longer considered an investment.

There are provincial investment programs. Most of them require a net worth of ~$300,000 - 500,000 and the ability to invest > $150,000 in cash.

I believe NB has the lowest investment requirement of $75,000. I also remember that if you invest in a remote community in BC, the requirement drops to ~$100,000.

Just google "Investor PR (province name)" and all options become available.

4, 5 years ago some immigration companies would loan you the entire money for the investment at relatively high interest rates (> 10% APR) if you could provide 25 to 50% of the required investment.

Remember that for middle and high-income earners in Canada, these investments are equivalent to 1 year's salary.

Be careful of going alone and trying to bring them later. I know people that said that and 10 years later they are still trying to get papers to bring their kids, I am talking about 10 years apart from kids that were still very young when they left.

Exactly what I was trying to say from the get go, Canada is a very controlled country much unlike the US...

Mexicans can visit Canada but without the right stay, living there is not a feasible option.

Mexicans don't need visa to come to Canada.

Now, this is the catch:

In order for Mexicans to board any Canada bound plane, they have to go through screening from the Canadian border agents right at the airports in Mexico. The Canada border agents in Mexico would ask intended Mexican travelers to Canada the same type of questions visa officers ask in an embassy to grant or deny visas.

Given this fact, many Mexicans aren't allowed to board the plane by the Canadian border agents. Similar to a visa denial.

Though Canada is a visa-free country for Mexicans, suggesting that someone with a Mexican passport would easily enter Canada is a bit misleading
