Ohhhh, the safety of his own people.. .. Those victim are someone's people.... Gosh!! Lemme guess, you are a Christian too right? because I have noticed that with you people.. . You don't give a sh*t about others whether they die.. How can you be specifying who to die and who to live in this kinda situation?! Just so inhumane....

Dnt get me wrong. Most Northern elders like d Governors nd politicians hv bn veri sympathetic 2wards these bandits, some hv bn playing politics wit the issue of Bokoharam. Imagine wat Sheikh Gumi has bn spilling out concerning fulani herdmen nd how he has bn justifying their actions or is it Bauchi state governors comments few days back? All these hv created a vacuum betwn d South nd North, hence, the South now sees d problem of d North as hers only. Since d elites seems not to b perturbed by these terrorists.

I'm from d North central, some of my family members re muslims nd hv gat muslim frnds, I served in Nasarawa state, i also lecture at Fed Uni Lokoja nd some of my colleagues re muslims, thus, i hv a gud relationship wit muslims.I can neva support d killing nor massacre of a set of ppl cos of their religious blif. I only stated d reason behind dat guys comment.

The Nigerian government has all it takes to stop the menace, yet they prefer to play politics with it. I usually watch movies where the Us government send their most decorated soldiers to those war torn areas in Iraq and Afghanistan. The north east can't even be compared to those areas yet we can't even wipe them of. After 10 years of consistent banditry by the Bokos they deserve an acolode from me man. I like people with guts who never relent, cuz they have a goal, unlike the Nigerian government.

I agree with you. The more you take your mind away from the "emotions" that surround terrorism, the clearer you begin to see and understand things.

I said the same about young Fulani men's dedication to taking lands on a thread earlier in the morning. They are not bragging on social like their "literate" counterparts in the south, are doing. They hit the trenches in the Bush chasing and killing the owners of farms for lands where they can live and have their cattles graze. I'm a southerner but I love their "determination" and "dedication" - a unique feature of masculinity. The consistency of Taliban over the years as Mujahideen fighters recruited from Afghan Qur'anic schools to fight invading soviet soldiers from the 80's into the 2010's against the US invasion is a testament to their masculine tenacity. Boko Haram is on their way to making this hall of fame.

TheManhattan, like typical emotional men are yet to get the memo of the oncoming onslaught by jihadist groups, bandits and herdsmen.

" Sources said, armed insurgents were behind the attack attempting to infiltrate the city, as troops engaged them."

True!
And it is long over due for event of this nature to happen now. We saw this coming the first day Buhari became the president of Nigeria .

President Buhari tied to boko Haram and other Islamic extremists are well known in Nigeria and the western world.

In 2015 when Buhari was running for the presidency of Nigeria, the western governments endorsed Buhari over Goodluck Jonathan because according to media reports, Buhari as a Muslim and his tied to Islamic communities will help to end Islamic violence in the northern Nigeria.

But has Buhari tied to Islam been helpful in the fight against terrorism?

The answer is no.
Instead, Buhari 's presidency has fueled and propped up insurgents all over Nigeria.

And since Buhari became president, 50,000 Nigerians have died from violence--- tied to boko haran and other Islamic groups. Another 4 millions have been driven out of their homes, according to western media reports.

So I call on president Buhari to resign as soon as possible. I believe only resignation of president Buhari can end the current violence in Nigeria.

The North is very safe.
Take the troops to go fight terrorists in Orlu.

And collect ₦100 on the roads in the South.

The North is very safe.

Fake news by miscreants.

Honestly, wanted to ignore but you talk about emotions. But you cant seem to be able to sieve facts from an information without being biased. These are people like you and I going about their daily business, kids playing football on the field, men and women trying to earn their daily earnings being bombarded to smithren yet all you can whine about are herdsmen and bandits when the news isn't even about that to start with. How is celebrating people being bombed in Maiduguri because they are northerners solving the problem of herdsmen and bandits? You mind is already conditioned on that one narrative( as long as its north they must be my enemy) yet I am the emotional one?? No wahala you fit pass I shift for you.
