And they speak Igbo as first language and not as second language.

That Olukumi are Yoruba is a historical misinformation.
The kings in Olukumi are of Ondo origin, but they didn't meet the land empty. They met indigenous Igbos there who accepted their leadership.
So when the king was saying that Odiani migrated from Yoruba, that's not the full story. The full story is that the royal family were Yoruba soldiers from Owo side who were sent on expedition to Aniocha by Oba Bini, they loved the people and decided to settle amongst them and were made kings.
