Good development! The break up of Nigeria is already taking shape. We now have two trading blocks. The same areas Gideon Orkar wanted to excise from Nigeria should be merged with Niger rep already.
They have always been our Christian reliable block for a reason

Cheap, baseless propaganda.

The Plateau State Governor is presently the chairman of the Northern Governors Forum.

Let that sink in.
Is it governors that are issuing the no trade or the unions.

I am actually not talking of religion

I believe it's about where ties currently lie.

The average kogi people are pro Arrewa (they nod with silence and would never challenge Arrewa on anything even though they are closer to Edo and Abuja than core North)

Kwara people is filled with mixed Yoruba fulani genes e.g Saraki (they are always under pressure to prove their alliance to core North since they are neither here nor there).

But you see that Benue and Plateau that is in the heart of core North they are always ready to slug it out against Arrewa and flow with us.

Ultimately these ties and loyalty would come in when it becomes full blown blockade from arewa

Which betrayal are u talking about? Do u think u can keep a people in perpetual slavery forever?

The military states creation in Nigeria was to the advantage of the north to continue to enslave the south but the time of shackles break is here.

Stop regarding benue and other middle-belters as a parts of the northern Nigeria.

Talking rubbish from your anus. Kwara is an overwhelmed pro-Yoruba state. The Nupe in Kwara north will even side with the Yoruba when shit it the fan.

Why did the union stop those vehicles from crossing the River Niger bridge into the Kwara state? They know they wouldn't be able to do anything if it crosses.

Most kogites are pro south. The majority of the Kogi east are Yoruba themselves, Kogi central is egbiraland and Ondo host the second largest population of Egbira people in Nigeria. The Igala people are closer to the east than anyone. The only part of Kogi that will go with the North is the part north of the River Niger.

When shit hit the fan, the River Niger bridge is the boundary between the south and the north

All these vibration is not necessary, like i said if they choose to be pro south better

But i take them with a pinch of salt, it is what it is

If plateau benue was as close as kogi kwara is to south they would have been ditched the north by all means since.

Because I'm partly from Ilorin in Kwara.
Take the case of Kwara, the Yoruba speaking part of Kwara (apart from Ilorin) has been fighting to be reintegrated back to the southwest for ages.

Ilorin has a Fulani emir that the only legitimacy to the title is religion. Whenever the issue of separation comes up, he is always scared of what we befall him.
There is also the presence of mostly Yorubanized Fulani who doesn't want to be joined to the southwest but these are group are small even in Ilorin. An overwhelming majority of the people are Yoruba and pro-Yoruba.

Taking about Saraki being pro north is juvenile. Saraki is not even an indigene of Kwara or Ilorin. Saraki father is Egba from Ogun while his mother is Iseyin from Oyo. Saraki is married to a Christian woman from Owo in Ondo state. Saraki daughter is married to a Christian man from Ogun State. How can you say such a man is pro north?

Forget what politicians say and look at their personal life for a clue. I know most of you have never been to that part of Nigeria to actually have a first-hand knowledge of things.

The average southerner does not know the difference between a Hausa man and a middle-belter. There is always that short-sighted assumption that once you speak or live with Hausa people, you are Hausa. And this is a very shallow way of thinking.

While this is totally true and discomforting, it's also a fact that most middle belters were very vigorous in their desperation to be identified as northerners for a very long time... Alligning with the north politically and culturally, fighting fulani battles with pride and happily discarding their identities just to assume the fulani invented wack-one North identity.. That behavioral trend that have lasted for the better part of a century, helped cement the notion that everybody from Benue going upwards are all northerners..

My friend it's not just about politics, remember afonja, the fulanis would always have something to entice their subject to

This is why Hausa can't still get rid of them

You people should be first careful against them before a disintegration can come

When Nigeria disintegrate, economic realities will realign interests and view.

It makes political sense for Saraki to claim partly Fulani ancestry but when Nigeria disintegrate, it wouldn't make any sense to hold such views. Who will want to be cut off from the huge economy of the south, the port in Lagos and the oil in the Niger Delta (southern Nigeria remains)?

Even the Nupes below the river Niger, the Barutan and other minorities in Kwara will opt to go with the south. I visit these a tad and I talk with politicians here.

Political power! The military power gave the core north an edge and ensure political patronization by middle belts and northern minorities but since the coming of civilian gov't and the endless religious riots in the north, these alignments have begun t shift.
The average northern minorities from Gombe, Plateau, Adamawa, southern Borno, Taraba, Niger, Nassarawa, Southern Kaduna, part of Kebbi feel at home and have beginning to shift their alliances to the south provided they are Christians.

For the case of Kwara, Kogi and Benue, these states are not so different from the southern states they share boundaries with.
