Let me explain something to my brothers

100 naira = 142 Central African CFA cameroon

100 naira = 132 West African CFA Niger

Now, these two countries currency is lower than ours and for that, to meet up with market competition Nigerian traders will be forced to sell 100 naira worth tomatoes for 60 naira or less so as to get buyers.

At the end, most of our farm products of which was sponsored by billions of oil money by Fed government will be wasted . Isn't that foolishness?

Good luck finding an average Northerner with a fully functioning brain.

Even with quota system, they are still largely poorly educated even on things so basic and commonsense.

They had sinisterly hoped that by now Southerners would be on their hands and knees begging them like the gods they think they are. Lol.

Instead of facing the collective enemies from Futa Jalon roaming about with destructive cows and ammunition, they chose to join forces with them to subjugate the South... No wonder their region is so backward.

The South should try and unite! Join forces to henceforth reject all goods coming from the North... Let's place an embargo on them. Nonsense.

The North is making a grave mistake with this, History would see this as "In 2021, during the great covid pandemic, Northern Nigeria blocked its borders against the south to starve them of food thereby causing serious inflation in a recessive economy in southern Nigeria, under the Northern presidency"

This is the same spirit that brought about the "Never again" mantra of the Chinese Agricultural revolution in 1980.

If the south eventually finds an alternative within and with neighbouring countries, it would be an effect that would last a life time.

Nope, not until the north has learnt its lesson..

Power rests with the South where there is industry and the people are better educated.

Sellers can't fight with their buyers and they are learning that the hard way ....

I dont know what they were thinking, it is well known most of this diaspora is Southern in character.. Southerners can call upon their relations in America or UK etc for extra monies. Most Northerners cant and they thought they would win this mtcheww..

You're bereaved of what's going on then. There's hike in food price due to shortage in Enugu as I type. Ask your brothers.

When you talk of instigation, I don't know what you mean. I'm just rubbing it to your face that there's food price hike in your Region, especially Enugu due to diversion of foodstuff from The North

Meanwhile, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OSUN, OGUN OYO, EKITI, AND ONDO LAMENT ABOUT SHORTAGE OF FOODSTUFF? WHY WOULD YOU SAY NO FOOD IN YORUBALAND?

ONLY LAGOS WITH MULTI-ETHNIC GROUPS AS INHABITANTS FEELS THE HEAT.

As far as the traders are concerned, their lives are more important than any losses they might make.

What is the point of traveling to the south to make profit only to seen as soft targets be attacked and burnt alive by murderous southern savages afraid of confronting killer herdsmen?

Only a trader that is alive can enjoy his profit. Arewa will enjoy the cheap prices while they last.

Any SW governor or leader that mediate into this is a fool.

Arewa should please continue the blockade as long as they want. It’s a welcome idea.

If we can’t produce what we eat then let us all die of hunger.

No time for much talk, we have to get to work as quick as possible.

I support this boycott fully and completely! Southerners have needed this wake up call for years now.

They should go to the bushes and grow crops. They have the money, soil, weather, and intelligence. The youths should and will be armed to defend against your bastard relatives from Chad... In months and years to come, Southerners would have outgrown you guys, and even place embargoes on food items from the North.

It is not foolishness, it is the wisdom of the useless Northern people (A - Z).
They feel to know everything and wants to control everything. This is how the Hushpipi finance minister told the WHOLE WORLD that each families in Nigeria has received the sum of N40,000 each as palliative support without such thing ever taking place in the country. That billions of Naira and Dollars meant for the masses has been diverted and looted under the NORTHERN PRESIDENT. How many Northern Looters are working in the NNPC ? The stealing and looting keep going on and on and on. Let the Tomatoes and Onions and Cow remain in the north - WE WILL HAVE A MEANS OF PASSING THROUGH THAT. But remember - insurgency will NEVER END IN NIGERIA. When any family member is murdered by the government - their relatives must have to avenge the persons death - even after 20yrs or 50yrs.

Let the crime and the oppression continue, the attack will never cease. This is how BOLA IGEH was murdered by the government and till date, nothing has happened and nobody has been prosecuted. This is how Gowon and his group murdered over 5Million Biafrans, and you think BIAFRA ISSUE WILL END. You are all dreaming and that dream is caused by Malaria and will not leave you until treated. IF GOWON AND GROUP ARE NOT JAILED OR HANGED - for crimes, Biafra issue will continue violently until Biafra secedes from Nigeria. North is wise, let them remain there. FOOLS

This is where empty bragaddocio and blackmail gets you when you have nothing and are an ingrate.

When the North host 87% of the entire poverty rate of Nigeria, I don't know the madness that pushed them into this dumb move.

Northerners, please carry on this 'war' against the SW. If you lot dare stop then know you have blinked and you will be b1tches of the SW from now on. So better finish what you started. No shaking.

This present trend should serve as a reminder to Southern States not to depend on the North for their food supplies.

We were sold the dummy that cattle business can't thrive in the South because of the presence of tsetse flies.

Today their cattle roam freely in the South without any news that cows died due to tsetse fly stings.

All Southern States should see this as a challenge by investing heavily in agriculture.

It is a wakeup call!

I would rather advice the south to start ignoring their produce so that next time they will get sense. 2019, when Nigeria closed her borders against other West Africa countries, what happened?. They started begging and crying, even from the countries; where they are shipping rice from.
FOOD SELLER should be careful because FOOD BUYER is his boss.
