The trial of Derek Chauvin, the Minneapolis cop charged with the killing of George Floyd, is officially moving ahead.
George Floyd died on May 25, 2020, after Derek Chauvin kept his knee on the back of his neck despite pleas from the former that he wasn't able to breathe.
According to a report by Global News, prosecutors are asking the Court of Appeals to put Chauvin's trial on hold until adding the third-degree murder count is resolved.
