It'll be like film trick to these guys backing the president to come back when he should go take a deserved rest, they just don't know how much resentment the masses have for him and silently waiting for him at the polls to do the needful. Like they say, pride goes before a fall, until the results hit them unexpectedly, they'll continue fooling around with the masses with achievements that need explanations before it can be seen

regardless of the personality of obj, this administration that promised change must ensure it builds on what it met on ground cos 2015 was described as largely free and fair. This was made possible by the introduction and use of card readers,am yet to see any new technology or procedure(s) by this current inec to ensure the electoral process is made better rather the president refused to sign the new electoral law which would've have enhanced the process

Politics / Re: See Why It's Impossible For Atiku To Win by princejenks(m): 4:00pm On Jan 20, 2019
I think this coming elections is atiku's best chance to get to that seat he's been craving for since he was vice president. The seat is buhari's to lose cos his arrogance even in the face of obvious incompetency is alarming even to his ardent supporters but his backers are banking on the usual rigging tactics but what they are forgetting is that atiku has always been a well grounded politician with firm political structures(pdm) since the early 90s,he was also part and parcel of apc when they were preparing for elections in 2015 and he's privy to all the underhand dealings that took place.A few reasons why I believe it's atiku's time

1.He's a northern muslim just like buhari so in places where buhari used to enjoy bloc votes based on such sentiments,it will have to be split

2. the farmers/herders clashes in north central will mean apc can't get the number of votes it got in 2015

3. Even the masses that buhari is counting on have all felt the brunt of the recession which was fast tracked by the incompetence of this administration which caused hardship leaving a tattered economy in its wake requiring cosmetic approaches like tradermoni to calm frayed nerves but it came a little too late and memories of a better life they lived under pdp will divide votes between buhari and atiku

3. atiku's pdp can match buhari's apc intended rigging plans cos he's been a member of the other side and privy to how they did it so plans to neutralize such is in place

4.buhari's divisive leadership has created ammunition for the atiku side to use to discredit it cos more people are coming to the reality that buhari is not and cannot be the much talked about messiah to lift Nigeria from its myriads of problems.

5.buhari's lack of understanding of the economy and its dynamics and his inability to source for the right people to fill positions regardless of their affiliations is one low point of his administration which the atiku can exploit cos atiku looks better acquainted with business and a people's person unlike a recluse like buhari whose circle of friends is very small and not that exposed.

6.buhari's government is clearly failing everyday in its primary responsibility of securing the country, his antecedents as a military officer hasn't counted much cos he's been demystified, atiku seems to be the kind of person that will go to whatever length to have some resemblance of peace in other to able to govern unlike this needless arrogance been shown by buhari's government concerning getting help from our neighbors.

7. though not exhaustive but I'll stop here by saying that just like in 2015,nigerians want change and have tasted buhari's brand of it which they find unpalatable, that is an advantage for atiku to ride on to seize power off the feet of the incumbent. I see a repeat of 2015 cos pride goes before a fall
Politics / Re: Anambra Monarch Donates Campaign Vehicle To Buhari by princejenks(m): 7:08am On Jan 20, 2019
am surprised our youths cannot reason objectively these days with all the information at their disposal and the education their parents labour to give them. In any elections, majority always carry the vote, that doesn't mean no one voted for the losing party.Applying same logic here,if the SE isn't for the ruling party doesn't mean there aren't people that wouldn't work for it but do they have the ability to muster the substantial votes for victory for apc considering the republican nature of igbos? This coming elections,I see a region learning from its mistake of 2015 where it made it too obvious with whom its sympathies lie, they appear to want to keep both major presidential contenders guessing who they'll go with eventually as there seems to be a lot of double talking leading up to the elections but the region knows who between the two contenders will best serve their interests, doesn't need political savvy to answer this.

I'll take that with a pinch of salt coming from a president whose utterances and appointments reeks of disunity. You can't give what you don't have,if only we hadn't overlooked his antecedents which shows him as someone only interested in pursuing narrow sectional agenda,Buhari has no business presiding over a multiethnic, multireligious and very dynamic country like Nigeria but some where swayed by his questionable claim to being a man of integrity which has since been proven otherwise

you don't need to be prophet to know that an air mishap is likely to occur in 2019 involving our domestic airlines and little or nothing is being done to avert it. The other day here in abuja, went visiting a friend during new year day who stays close to the airport, you needed to hear the sound of an airborne aircraft sounding like one of them danfos with a damaged exhaust that was jerking that litter our roads,I didn't need to be aeronautic engineer to know the plane wasn't in very good condition as expected but being managed and hoping with prayers it'd reach its destination.
Politics / Re: #DontDodgeTheDebate Trends As Nigerians Insist Buhari Must Debate by princejenks(m): 8:06pm On Jan 04, 2019
am apalled by some of the comments am reading here from supposedly very educated folks, how can we make this country enter the league of developed nations if we don't demand the very best from our leaders and those who want to lead us in future? How do we get to hear what they would do for us if they get into the position they are vying for if we discourage them from attending debates cos we claim it doesn't matter? like seriously? We watch foreign tv stations and see how presidents like Trump are grilled live on national tv about burning national issues in the US and other places but here we have a president who holds the local press in absolute disdain, hardly grants interviews, holds no periodic media parleys to give answers to many burning issues in the polity and now he seeks reelection and some morons are urging him on not to attend, like how did I end up here? Please, regardless of your party affiliation, let's ensure we make the best use of this opportunity that elections in 2019 affords us to elect people who know exactly what they want to do for the country and how exactly they want to go about it given the available resources, the debate is the way to go in choosing such persons. A thousand mile starts with a committed step in the right direction,if we want to get to belong to the league of developed countries in future,we need to take conscious steps that will take us to our desired destination but we need good and tested drivers who know their way around difficult terrains, not the likes who whine all day about how the previous drivers wasted fuel and ended up in the wrong direction!

conspiracy theories are bound to come up in situations like this where a well constituted army of repute cannot defeat a rag tag band of insurgents or made to look so weak. Now president buhari, considering his military background was thought to be better placed to end the insurgency unlike a civilian like Jonathan without military experience, but how have things changed in three years of this administration in ending the insurgency?

Politics / Re: Yemi Osinbajo Cutting His Hair In A Public Barber's Shop (pics) by princejenks(m): 11:01am On Dec 28, 2018
Any politician can say what he wants the people to hear or do things that will appear to endear him to the masses such as the tokenism being displayed by this administration close to elections, but the critical questions that will be asked by the masses of this administration will be simple, have their lives been better under this administration?

The key to answering that will be determined by very basic statistics, not some tecnical jargons that'll be thrown around to give false sense of progress but rather things as basic as,the cost of food items, cost of giving their wards basic education especially at the tertiary level, cost of building or owning a decent accommodation, cost of buying fuel, money left in their pocket after buying essentials, cost of getting electricity from nepa and its alternative, cost of accessing basic medical healthcare when available and the likes, how safe they feel now compared to before.

If the government of the day can beat its chest that it has made things better in these things mentioned, then they'll be taken seriously. Of course, this administration always has ready their excuses for failing to provide these things but what beats my imagination is how supposedly knowledgeable people whose brains have been taught to process information will chose to ignore clear failure by this government in even the key areas it promised to turn around in 2015 but will still argue that the government be retained regardless cos they have someone from their region in power and they've been promised that seat when this current president completes two terms. That for me calls to question the education such people claim to have cos when something isn't working,it calls for a change not patching things up like everything is ok,nothing is working as we speak, the statistics don't lie, google it yourself! You can't build something on nothing, when you're not getting your economic policies right, other superficial efforts like fighting corruption can't replace sound economic policies, three years of this administration has clearly shown this
