Please search very well, most universities offer Msc Mental health in two years.
If you secure a job with nhs, you will start on band 5, afc. The hourly rate is relative or location dependent.
thanks very much! One more last question sir! Experience is core requirement expected from me in order to be admired for the study and a minimum of 500-750 hours of experience within the healthcare setting is required of me. I currently work as a support worker in a mental health facility hence I don’t problem with the experience public! I was asked to present a portfolio of an recognition of prior learning. Do you know what this entails and how to go about it?

You are already building a profile for yourself. Philosophy - Psychology, i would advise Mental health Nursing to build on the existing experience.
There is a lot you can achieve with that profile after qualification.
ok thanks! Just that I have limited schools offering mental health nursing pre registration but I will now search thoroughly for it based on my existing profile! If I may ask what band will I start from after the qualification? And what is the rate per hour for a new inexperienced nurse??

I thought you said you are already working in the forensic sector?

Your forensic experiences, is it historic? Are you based 'currently' in the UK or Nigeria?

Do you qualify as a home student?
I am a Nigerian studying Psychology in the Uk but will be through in the summer! Currently I work as a support worker in a mental health facility. Though I wasn’t employed directly by the facility but by an agency who usually post me to any available shift in various mental homes.

You would become a Registered RMN.....

Did i hear you say discrimination? The UK would take anything they got, with appropriate qualifications........

so how do I get sponsored for tier 2?
Travel / Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by promisechild(m): 11:03am On Mar 31, 2020
Hello Lexusgs430 I can see you are a medical practitioner I will need your advise on the following

I had a degree In BA Philosophy{Nigeria}
MSc Psychology {UK}

I want to enroll for MSc in Mental health Nursing or Adult Nursing which will give me the privilege to be a registered Nurse in the Uk.

The MSc program accept any discipline irrespective of your background but you must be able to demonstrate a prior working experience in the healthcare sector by having at least 500hours of experiences being paid or volunteering. I have been a support worker in a mental health facility in Uk and I think the experiences won’t be a problem for me. The bone of contention is hope there won’t be a discrimination against me whist looking for job after graduation since my BSc degree is not in Nursing but in Philosophy? Any suggestions?

This is not proper. If people post something, it's not your place to judge them.
This is a main reason why engagement on the thread has slowed down. People just stay on the fringe because of attacks like this.
Just respond to the issue and leave her personal business alone.
who is judging her here? I only told her the bitter truth because desperation is written all over what she wrote out!

Hi everyone, i've been a silent reader of this thread for a while, I just need answers to some questions.
I'm 22yrs in my 3rd year in the University, my bf is in US, his dad is a Legal permanent resident who filed for him and he has been there since last year. We've been very close friends for 3years now but we only just started dating after he left the country and we really don't have any pictures together. He hasn't gotten his permanent resident card yet so he can't leave the country, my question is what if him or his Dad invites me over for a visit next summer during my school break and if I get letters from my school, is being a student here enough proof that I'll come back, Also since my bf isn't a permanent resident yet, what are my chances of getting a visa. Do I indicate he's my bf when we really don't have pictures together or do I say he's a close friend. What do you suggest is a better way to visit. Please I really need all the answers I can get

It boldly written in your write ups that you are highly desperate. You started dating him after he left maybe when he dey Naija he dey toast u no gree give am face as per say he don go Yankee now you accept his proposal. He never even spend 1 good year complete u want go see am. God is watching you. To be frank with u your ties can’t be proven! I will advice u to face your studies for now. That is the bitter truth.
