Family / Re: Why Do We Hv More Fair Skin Females Than Males. by Reelsteel: 3:32pm On Oct 25, 2013
My father and uncles are fair, consequently
everybody that bears my last name is very very fair. Including the grandchildren, except the girls who married out of the family who now have mixture of dark and fair children.

[quote author=Tgirl4real]From my observation, I think women are usually more matured than men of the same age. But, when they get to a certain age, the men catch up and become more matured.

What do you guys think?[/quote

Women of the same age with men tend to be more exposed, and experienced because they started hanging out with men twice there age early in life.
But that does not mean they would make better life decisions nor does it guarantee quicker success in life.
Properties / Re: Is Anything Wrong In Painting A House Black? by Reelsteel: 2:00pm On Oct 25, 2013
It's alarming the way people equate black to demons, evil spirit and worst of all failure.
That was the white man's propaganda during the days of slavery, it's disheartening that it's now deeply rooted in us to see anything black as such.
it's is just a question of science, black color absorb heat radiation more than any other color, painting a house black simply turns the house to an oven.
Nothing more nothing less. If u are not scared of the heat and think black would be an appealing color to ur test of a building then go for it.

Crime / Re: Enugu, Crime Capital Of Nigeria – Survey by Reelsteel: 11:10am On Oct 22, 2013
What kind of report/ survey produced that kind of unfounded tissue paper as a result.
I never believed in Propaganda but its really coming together.
Last week I read about how Enugu international airport was bad business for the aviation sector today
Enugu has turned crime capital of Nigeria, admist all the kidnapping going on in Edo state, Insecurity in the north, and traffic robberies in Lagos.
That Report is even an insult to 82 division cantonment in the town who secure every single exit and entrance into Enugu city.
Any sane human who has visited Enugu state would know that report is straight from the pit of hell.

nossybelle: I am looking for a school to apply to against September 2014 academic yr. My program of choice is not really offered in most schools and most offer it as a 3yrs course as against Lambton who offers it for 2yrs accelerated with co-op.(power engineering technology).

Hello you can check out SAIT IN CALGARY OR NAIT in Edmonton. one of them will have your course. they are both in the Alberta province.

I already did bro, they both offer power engineering technology and petroleum engineering technology respectively but without Co op and Alberta province is more expensive than Ontario for a student.

See my people o.
Ok I just dropped by and can't believe how much information here. You guys are great.
I also believe that paper route is GAY, and would jump on anything online for quicker processing.
But has anyone seen the biometric data capture scheduled to start from 23 October 2013 on cic. For Nigeria study permit applicants? I'm not sure how that would be captured through the online route.

Secondly I hear Lambton college requires u apply through maple education now, I would like to know if it's compulsory, I no get $2000 to give them o, besides my older bro in Lambton did the application process himself. Any current information would be appreciated.
Besides he says sarnia where Lambton is located isn't very nice.(not my problem as I even need a quiet environment to study and get that distinction I was denied in naija).

dude used things are sold everwhere all over the world.
from cars to books.
People trade-in there used stuff to shops for cash. more carefully used products trade for more cash. The shops put such products back on the market for sells after careful observation by a professional.Buying such products does not make you less of a human being but probably someone on a budget.
if we had such system in place, people would probably use there things carefully with hope of trade-in for cash.

Politics / Re: Anambra Youth Stone, Boo Ngige’s In Awka by Reelsteel: 9:46pm On Aug 10, 2013
tankoemmanuel: We all know that Igbos have high sense but lack common sense. I know my people very well. We are very stupid! Very very stupid! And we behave like we don't have brains. Those people that disrupted Ngige from declaring his intention to run the governorship were monetarily induced by some people to do so. Ask them very well and they will tell you the real reason behind their actions. They are just using the Igbo destitutes deportation saga as cover-up. Don't be deceived. Just listen to those fools who stoned Ngige. They said that one of their reasons for being that disruptive was because they want Ngige to face his business in the Senate and give other 'credible' candidates a chance! And who are those credible candidates, if I may ask? Annie Okonkwo? An SSCE holder? What does he know? Please, we wouldn't like a situation where at the end of the day we begin to feel that we have more sense than our Governor, as we have been feeling since Peter Obi's assumption to office. Haba! The foolish, stupid, inane, good-for-nothing, god-forsaken youths did not even mention Prof. Soludo, the only man you can compare with Ngige among all those politicians. Those idiotic youths should be careful. And Ngige should be careful too. One thing he should have known by now is that you don't tell the truth to people who don't value the importance of it. He should have kept silent, knowing that Igbos are not critical, only sentimental, gullible and conceited lots.

Autos / Information On 1997-2000 Mecerdes C Class C230 And 1999-2001 BMW 323i by Reelsteel: 10:47am On Jun 12, 2013
Please i need detailed advise on these two cars, either
from previous owner, professionals or people with
information on them.
I have a 1998 toyota camry which i have used for so long
5yrs precisely, im tired of it though still in very good
condition with very thing working perfectly,im just tired of
having it for so long so im looking for a whole new
experience hence my decision to sell it and get something
else.
Im a Toyota fan no doubt because my Camry has served
me very very well through broke and bouyant periods, But
my request for a new experience plus the new craze in the
price of Toyota and Honda probably because of the rate of
demand has pushed to to looking at the Bmw 1999-2001
323i and 1997-2000 Mercedes c class c230.
So please i kindly need detailed information on cost of
routine maintenance, cost Procurement and avaliability of
parts including skilled personnel to work on it,durability
and finally Resale Value.
Anyone with information will be highly appreciated thank
Very much.
P.S i realized the c230 its an I4 while the 323i is a v6. I
am really scared of v6 because of the complexity and a lot
of quarks we have around.
Car Talk / Re: Information 1997-2000 Mecerdes C Class And 1999-2001 Bmw 323i by Reelsteel: 9:21am On Jun 12, 2013
yungboss: i think there are more Merc Technicians out there, and the Merc may probably have better resale value 'cos of its popularity, compared to BMW. But you'll have more pleasure driving the BMW because it's a 6cyl...not a V6 but inline 6. The Merc you talked about has the Kompressor version....C230k. Specify your choice. I had a C220 which i sold, i prefer my '93 BMW 320i to that ride because the BMW is smoother, less road noise, my 2000 323i coupe is even much better. Maintenance has been easier so far with my BMWs compared to the Merc. I changed alot of parts in the Merc...much than i ve done with the BMWs. The BMWs engines have been running strong with no issues. Both are good cars so you can't be wrong either way. Fuel consumption, my does 13l/100km. Impressive, despte the obscene traffic situation in Port Harcourt.

I'm talking about the 4cyl inline engine, im trying to make the transition from Japanese to German easy.
still a little scared to big engines, I guess the only way to find out is to find out. did realize the BMW has 6cyl inline.
thanks for clarifying.

Family / Re: How Do You Manage Your Finances As A Couple? by Reelsteel: 10:43am On Apr 19, 2013
egariyi: While it is the responsibility of the man to provide for the home, if the woman earns more, she should automatically take up most of the responsibilities without being asked to do so. The bible stated that the woman is a help meet and that includes finance too. I dont buy the idea of over burdening the man to cater for the home when it is within the reach of the woman to help. That type of mentally is only common with Naija women - the man must provide. It is wrong!! My husband and I jointly run our home, sometimes, I pay the children's fees, does repairs, family vacations etc. I do it happilly without any compulsion. Note, we operate our separate accounts but we have one joint account for project savings.

my dear you are very right
Its funny how a lot of women think in this 21th century where every woman is calling for gender equality, yet you manage to see some woman who still want to remain housewives only to make babies as there contribution to building a family this is typical of the 18th century.
I'm not married but my opinion is that a couple should operate there separate accounts and open a joint account after marriage where certain percentage ,( probably 65% of the man and 35% of the woman assuming the makes much more) of the income would be deposited for the up keep and running of the family(kids school fees, house rent, buying cars, bills, etc). your separate remaining percentage would be for your personal use( upgrading career, helping your separate families, clothing yourself, buying gifts for each other, doing Investments).
I still believe the ma. should put more percentage though.
but thats just one man's opinion.

Romance / Re: The Right Time For A Man To Rent An Apartment? by Reelsteel: 2:45pm On Mar 27, 2013
it all depends..
Personally i moved out of my fathers house immediately i got admission into the university,We had no hostels so i lived like a bachelor and i traveled home only 5times throughout my 5yrs course of study.
They paid my school fees up till 3rd yr,though I started doing part time jobs from 2nd yr. They started getting worried when i stopped asking for money from home,so i had to explain my means of survival to them.
Some people learn independence at an early age( i probably did because i stayed in boarding school for 6yrs from age 10), while some enjoy dependence,i have seen people work for yrs, have financial independence but still choose to live with there parents.
For majority financial independence would determine when they move, so going by the situation of the country and counting from the average age of graduation+nysc+time at home+time to save up enough to pay for rent that is 23+1+2+2= 28yrs.
That is my drunken opinion though.
