A 14 passenger commercial bus lost its brake on Thursday, somersaulted and bust into fire around 6:20pm.
The bus was heading towards Berger by Otedola bridge in Lagos.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie suggested during a speech at the 2016 Republican National Convention that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, was to blame for the kidnapping of hundreds of schoolgirls in Chibok by extremist group, Boko Haram.

According to him, by not adding Boko Haram to the terrorist watch list, every region of the world has been infected with her flawed judgment. Also referencing the #BringBackOurGirls campaign that drew attention from all over the world, he said,

“What happened because of this reckless action by the candidate who is the self-proclaimed champion of women around the world? Governor of Bauchi state Mohammed A. Abubakar went to Sokoto to personally pay a condolence visit to the Shinkafi family today, the Sokoto Sultanate and the Sokoto State government for losing one of their illustrious son.
The late Umaru Shinkafi was one who gave his best days to the service of our country. He was one who was willing to put himself out to serve his countrymen. The Marafan Sokoto was one who helped deepen our democracy.

At a time when we are making giants strides in the area of security, we remember the contributions of Shinkafi to our present security architecture which dates back to its foundations.
The government and people of Bauchi offer condolences to the Shinkafi family and the good people of Sokoto. We pray God grants them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

A gun believed to be owned by the orderly of Senator Ita Enang discharged accidentally on Friday at the ticketing area of the Murtala Muhammed Airport 1 in Lagos severely wounding the orderly and a female passenger.

The incident caused some stir among travelers and the people inside the airport

The victims were initially rushed to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, (FAAN) clinic before they were transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for further treatment.
