Politics / Re: The Truth About South East Gas by Rissimenky: 9:16pm On Jun 16, 2021
horsepower102:

This gas issue is where Nigeria will meet it’s nemesis.

They are wasting billions building their AKK pipeline to siphon gas from the South East. We are just watching them. That whole money will be a waste in the end.

You are a DUNCE and an air head.

If you stupidly secede into your landlocked dot:

A) You will be stranded with that gas, because as any energy expert will tell you, gas is useless without the requisite billions of dollars and years it takes to build the infrastructure to extract, purify, and evacuate/transport the gas to your customers at the cheapest rates in a highly competitive international market.

B) So you will DEPEND HEAVILY on Nigeria to allow you evacuate that gas, and Nigeria WILL demand steep conditions of gas sharing.

C) You also will have to find the billions of dollars to develop the gas infrastructure over 5 years minimum to export it.

So this is nowhere near as straightforward as you think.

And the daft OP has not answered he must be a zombie

SHUT UP.

Stop pretending not to know what the OP is saying.

Buhari has invested in the railway system where all PDP did was start some projects and LOOT without completing any, DESPITE 16 YEARS IN POWER.

Buhari came in, and within a few years has completed various rail projects with more under construction.

PDP is the party of LOOTERS.

That is why you will NOT regain power because all you do is steal.

ALL I SEE ON THIS THREAD ARE EXCUSES.

IGBOS KEEP BANGING ON ABOUT HOW BRILLIANT AND SMART THEY ARE.

WHEN YOU ASK THEM ''WHY IS ONITSHA NOT DEVELOPED LIKE LAGOS?'' THEY START SAYING, ''BUT YOU PEOPLE PLUS LEBANESE DID NOT INVEST IN OUR LAND!''

OH BUT I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WERE BETTER AND RICHER AND SMARTER THAN EVERYONE?

WHY DO YOU NEED 'AFONJA', 'FULANI', LEBANESE INVESTMENTS BEFORE YOU CAN PROSPER?

THEN THEY SAY ,''OH BUT LAGOS IS RANKED THE WORST CITY IN THE UNIVERSE!''

OH SO WHAT ARE MILLIONS OF IGBOS DOING IN THE WORST CITY IN THE UNIVERSE WHEN THEY COULD BE BUILDING A PARADISE IN ONITSHA?

THEN THEY START TO ABUSE AND THROW INSULTS.

THEN I LEAVE, SHAKING MY HEAD AT THE ATTENTION-SEEKING, DEPENDENT NARCISSISTS.

All kinds of projects are coming up in Lagos.

Majority of the projetcs have ZERO federal input. From urban rail networks, to world class bus terminals, to BRT systems, to entire new metropolises like Eko Atlantic.

If Lagos can do all this stuff without seceding from Nigeria, why can't OnItsha?

Why can't Onitsha build an 'Eko Atantic' of the East?

If all the money spent by IPOB in its dumb agitation was used for attracting major investments to the East, by now the entire East would have been a construction site.

Just like Lagos. angry

If Lagos can do all this stuff without seceding from Nigeria, why can't OnItsha?

Why can't Aba?

Or do people in Lagos have two heads or what?

Instead of disturbing our peace, these Igbo secessionists should make their state governments account for their stewardship the way they do in Lagos.

In Lagos you DARE NOT be an underperforming governor.

Who born you to underperform?

They will find a way to kick you out even before your term is done.

If you really examine these Lagos projects, you'll see they are not even that costly or capital-intensive.

It's just application of common sense and wisdom to build and provide things that will benefit the population.

Meanwhile go to Onitsha. They still build new roads with open gutters and no sidewalks.

What? You need to be a separate country called Biafra before you can have sense?

Before you can use your sense?

I guess it's Buhari and Fulani people that told you to be Dundee United.

IGNORANT NONSENSE SHOWING COLONIALIST MISEDUCATION HAS REALLY DEALT WITH YOU.

There are NUMEROUS storey buildings in northern Nigeria that date back up to a THOUSAND YEARS.

Ancient Benin City was reported by visitors to contain numerous multi - storeyed buildings, monuments and edifices.

The city was burnt down and looted by the British invaders in 1897.

99% of you Nigerians are so ignorant of your history, it's an absolute crime.

No wonder you are filled with self-hate and racial inferiority complex.

Just look at the countries Chief Lai Mohammed mentioned.Well he's right afterall. With Buhari in power,we would be competing with Afghanistan as well...
Mr.Lai was clever by half by trying to squeeze in U.K into the picture. He would have also told us how Fulani terrorists are killing people in their thousands in U.K and the government of U.K conspicuously claiming ignorant in alliance with the media over there.
He should have also made reference of how the U.K & other developed countries' police and Army are killing innocent protesters and agitators and denying upandan.
He could have also reminded us how a sitting minister in U.K is also linked to ISIS & Bokoharam (Terrorist) & sharing the nation's data with ISIS & bokoharam to destroy the citizens of the country.
It would had made sense if he also reminded us on how all of a sudden the life of a cow is more valuable than the life of a human being in U.K and other civilized countries.
Lastly,Lai Mohammed should have concluded by sharing with us how U.K and other civilized countries banned cryptocurrency for the citizens while U.K government officials are trading crypto with the stolen billions of dollars that could have been used to develop U.K better.
Mr.Lai would be taken seriously when he makes reference to the U.K and other civilized countries in regards to these and many more.
I can't imagine a Biafra & Oduduwa without crypto, remaining so underdeveloped & tolerating reckless killings from fulani herdsmen Terrorists... Godforbid!

They desire to have their own country but never intend to leave the nation they loathe as they still want to hold back to what they claim to own in the zoo. They never want to associate with anything relating to Nigeria yet they refuse to throw her identity (passport) away. Only the irredeemable creatures like the Devil possess such characters. What a shame!

The reason they don't leave Nigeria is because they are not really after an Igbo state. They just want to corner the Niger Delta oil for themselves.

Their leader Kanu has made this very clear.

It's about greed for oil, and nothing else. That is why NONE of them has ever left Nigeria to return home to the East.

Firstly how much is the oil money that we won't hear word about $15 billion dollars ? lmao ....trust me no igbo talk of all igbos are capitalist not socialist like u guys

Igbos are ready to pay 30% tax to make biafra worth that's over 50 billion dollars a year sir if u included remittance

Take the oil keep it

Gas is even far more important to us than oil for power generation and lucky we have far more gas than Niger delta ...if All igbos anionmas , obigbos and ndoni and egbema then we have 70% of nigerias gas reserve

So really it's Niger delta that needs igbos not the other way round ...trust me I don't want them in biafra

Talk is cheap. Kanu feels very differently and he is your secessionist leader. Go and argue with him.

One more thing. Having a lot of gas is useless until you have invested countless billions of dollars over years to extract it and make it available cheaply to your buyers, through for instance building trans-national gas pipelines. Nigeria is building a 25 billion dollar gas pipeline all the way to Morocco and onward to Spain.

We are not just gonna give up all these things and hand over to Nnamdi Kanu and his thugs.

Wake up. You are Nigerian.

What stops you from imposing that 50 billion dollar tax on your people today?

You can still transform the East without locking yourselves up in a prison you call a country.

After all Lagos is doing it.

Only a slave like you cares about some unknown private entity in the US creating some stupid list based on their fake, biased criteria.

Look at America. They've had 8,000 gun deaths this year so far.

Annual rate is around 40,000 a year.

That's like 50 Boko Harams operating at once!

The US has had an incredible 270 mass shootings so far this year:

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/06/12/us/us-mass-shootings/index.html

Police brutality, institutional racism, mass shootings, drug-fuelled gang violence, an Opioid overdose casualty rate of 70,000 per annum.

Oh, and they also invade more nations, export more weapons, and build more nuclear weapons than any other nation, hastening the demise of humanity.

But I'm sure they rank really high on the list of ''best governed countries''.

Rubbish.

This is huge:

“The bathymetric survey of the rivers that share a common course is aimed at opening up enormous economic and agricultural activities that will boost commercial activities in Anambra State.

“It would also restore the historic water transportation along the course as in the past, which would reduce pressure on our roads infrastructure.

“I have confidence in the survey team from NIWA who are already on ground and working, led by the Acting General Manager, Mr. Henry Adimoha.”

Developing that Onitsha - Asaba axis into a navigable waterway will create all types of businesses in that region, such as:

Tour boats and yachts for use/hire/sale.

Speed boats manufacturing and repair services

Local cruise ships which may go international

Goods and merchandise transportation

Waterfront resorts and hotels with boating and cruise facilities

See, Buhari is not just building a bridge over the Niger.

He is building an entirely new, world class Transport Ecosystem to serve the Eastern region and beyond.

This what we call development.

Kudos Mr President.

2nd Niger Bridge opens for traffic February 2022— NIWA

The Managing Director and Chief Executive of National Inland Waterways, NIWA, Chief George Moghalu, has said the 2nd Niger Bridge would be opened to traffic from February 2022.

Moghalu said this at the flag-off of a bathymetric survey of the Aghommili-Mmamu-Ezu-Nkisi-Niger River course, on Tuesday.

The brief flag-off was performed by Chief Moghalu at the Aghommili River bank at Ndikelionwu, Orumba North Council of Anambra State.

Moghalu said: “By February next year 2022, the new Second Niger Bridge will be opened for vehicular use.

“President Muhammadu Buhari [has already] flagged off construction of the eastern rail line at Port Harcourt. This will traverse all states in the South-East.

“This administration is serious and committed to transforming the lives of all Nigerians, including those of the South-East. It has done and continues to do so much for the South-East.

However, while demonstrating and explaining the specialised survey machines, Mr. Adimoha said the survey will give the vertical/horizontal shape, map and depth of the river course for onward transmission to the engineers in view of its dredging.

Chief Tagbo Ike and Chief Edozie Obasi, stakeholder and President-General, respectively, of Ndikelionwu community, venue for the flag-off, gave historical background details of the river’s course.
