chisom83: [s]1966 Coup: “The Igbos Now Vindicated And Exonerated” 26th February 2016 News, Politics 1 Comment 1966 Coup: “The Igbos Now Vindicated And Exonerated”Olusegun-Obasanjo Let the truth be told. The People involved in that so called 1966 “Igbo coup” were: 1. Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu (Midwest Region Igbo) 2. Major Adewale Ademoyega (Western Region – Yoruba), author of “Why we struck” 3. Capt. G. Adeleke (Western Region – Yoruba). 4. Maj. Ifeajuna (Midwestern Region – Igbo). 5. Lt. Fola Oyewole (Western Region – Yoruba), author of “The reluctant rebel”. 6. Lt. R. Egbiko (Midwestern Region – Ishan). 7. Lt. Tijani Katsina (Northern Region – Hausa/Fulani). 8. Lt. O. Olafemiyan (Western Region – Yoruba). 9. Capt. Gibson Jalo (Northern Region – Bachama). 10. Capt. Swanton (Northern Region – Middle Belt). 11. Lt. Hope Harris Eghagha (Midwest – Urhobo). 12. Lt. Dag Warribor (Midwest – Ijaw) 13. 2nd Lt. Saleh Dambo (Northern Nigeria -Hausa) 14. 2nd Lt. John Atom Kpera (Northern Nigeria-Tiv). The reason for calling the 1966 Coup an Igbo exercise is because the government of Nigeria has refused teaching Nigerian History in our schools. And core North has been busy misinforming Nigerians that the 1966 coup was an Igbo coup. ………………………………………. Yoruba – Igbo fact sheet. This article has no tribal sentiments. Pls add ur own facts if u have any. History will always tell us what happened. 1. Azikiwe defeated Awolowo to become the first Nigerian Premier of Western Nigeria (present Southwest plus Edo and Delta States). Awolowo instead of forming Opposition, rather formed Egbe Omo Yoruba and used it to intimidate Yorubas that won election on NCNC platform to cross carpet and join him against Azikiwe. This was the first parliamentary coup in Nigeria. 2. Awolowo from then on, started indoctrination of Yorubas against the “threat of Igbo domination”. That is how the incurable seed of fear of Igbos was sown in the psychic of Yorubas which Yorubas later sold to other groups through Yoruba control of the media for decades. 3. Alhaji Tafawa Balewa , Nigeria ‘s first Prime minister could not tolerate Awolowo’s treacherous and inordinate ambition of acquiring political power by all means and at any cost. So, he threw Awolowo into prison for treason. 4. Samuel Ladoke Akintola who replaced Awolowo as Premier of Western Nigeria tried to destroy Awolowo’s political grip on Yorubaland by forming a party to takeover Western Nigeria in alliance with the Hausa-Fulani oligarch who Awolowo despised as a backward race. Consequently, Yorubaland went ablaze in revolt against Akintola’s plot. Law and order completely broke down in Western Nigeria. Wole Soyinka wore a mask and forced announcers at Western Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation to declare that Akintola’s government was a fraud. 5. Yet, Tafawa Balewa refused to declare state of emergency in Western Nigeria in order to keep Akintola as a proxy for Hausa-Fulani interest. This was the MAIN reason Yoruba graduates in the Army were the brains behind the coup led by Chukwuma Nzeogwu who happened to be Igbo. 6. As Wole Soyinka and even Obasanjo acknowledged, Nzeogwu ‘s coup was widely accepted by a vast majority of Nigerians across regional, religious and ethnic divides. 9. But the dissatisfied Hausa-Fulani oligarchy who had majority in Nigerian Army infantry used their puppets, Yakubu Gowon, Theophilus Danjuma and co to overthrow General Ironsi. 7. In order to win support of Yorubas, Gowon released Awolowo from prison. The Hausa-Fulani knew Awolowo’s fear of Igbo as the only group that stood against his ambition to power. Gowon therefore quickly made a deal with Awolowo which in effect was that power would rotate between the North and the West (Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba) in post war Nigeria if Awolowo convinced Yorubas to join the North in fighting Igbos. 8. The Nigerian Army was consequently split into two divisions: the northern sector division commanded by Hausa-Fulani and the southern sector division, commanded by Yorubas. 9. Lagos, a city built largely by Igbos and were Igbos invested heavily, was also ceded to Yorubas as a State even when there was no Abuja at the time (1967). 14. Awolowo was made Vice Chairman of Federal Executive Council and Finance Minister. All federal government owned banks in Nigeria at the time which included the Central Bank and First Bank, were under Awolowo and Yoruba management. It was a deal Awolowo could not resist. The man was an unscrupulous Machivellian anyway. 10. The Igbos were eventually defeated and Yorubas became champions of nationalism. 11. Awolowo tried to make sure no Igbo man or woman would ever be more than financial destitute let alone have the financial resources to rival a Yoruba 12. To achieve his objective of permanent Yoruba supremacy, Awolowo insisted that every bank account owned by an Igbo, regardless of how much was in it before the declaration of Biafra, would only be replaced with twenty pounds! He instructed Yoruba Permanent Secretaries who took over the Federal Civil service when Igbos left, to make sure that Igbo senior civil servants were not reinstated but to rather retire those who could not be dismissed as rebels. The same policy obtained in the Armed Forces of Nigeria and Police . 13. The Igbo were not only made pariahs but also financial destitutes. 14. Every house and industry in Igbo city was destroyed by war. Schools were closed for 3 years and many were razed to the ground. 15. Awolowo masterminded the indiginization policy by which Yorubas bought over all companies in Nigeria using money readily made available to them by the banks under their control. The Igbos were excluded. 16. They rejoiced and relaxed and complaisantly asked: “How could Igbos ever rear their ugly heads up again”? Sure, if that had happened to Yorubas or any other ethnic group, that would be their end. But as Awolowo rightly feared, we happen to be Ndi Igbo. 17. The shooting war ended 45 years ago and we are still here. We have survived all policy shenanigans contrapted by treacherous Yoruba masterminds and executed by their Hausa-Fulani allies. 18. In frustration, they have realized that we are who we are. Imagine their frustration! Never mind all Yoruba masterminded psychological attacks on Igbos disparaging us in any way they can. 19. Yes, Federal government policy has made them the tycoons of oil and gas, telecommunications, insurance and manufacturing. Oh, their Hausa-Fulani cum military allies gave Nigeria to Obasanjo for 8 years in keeping faith with their alliance. 20. Bola Tinubu is struggling for Awolowo mantle by forming an alliance of etho- religious jingoistic to ensure power keeps rotating between Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani. Where is the position of the Igbo and other tribes in Nigeria. What is ur sincere opinion? 1966 Coup: “The Igbos Now Vindicated And Exonerated”Olusegun-Obasanjo Let the truth be told. OILSOUP: EVERYBODY KNOWS AMBODE IS A TRIBAL BIGOT, BUT WEN WILL HE ARREST Tobiloba Aka King Tee, his tribes man?
As Governor Akinwunmi Ambode assumes the position of the 'morality police' in the financial hub of Nigeria, it is only right he orders the arrest of his fellow kins man Tobiloba aka King Tee for degrading and dehumanizing women.
This Lagos-based young man named Tobiloba Isaac Jolaoso self-styled King Tee operates a pornographic website that charges prospective customers heavily for access. A tour of the site, 'Hoclifestyle' by a TORI NEWS correspondent revealed he charges his Nigerian viewers about N10,000 for monthly subscription and N6,000 for two weeks with other international customers from Ghana, Malaysia, United States of America and others clandestinely following the adult platform.
King Tee sleeps with different girls in Lagos with his s*xual acts videotaped and released on social media to lure his thousands of followers to his website. A concentrated analysis of some of his s*x videos showed they were lavishly shot in different hotel rooms in Lagos. King Tee's massive source of finance has remained enigmatic and elusive to his teeming subscribers as some suggest he could be engaged in internet scam on the side.
The native of Ogun and Oyo States sleeps with these ladies mostly upscale prostitutes without condoms and pays them handsomely according to rumours. Checks by TORI NEWS reveal King Tee veils their faces to hide their identities from the general public while he proudly shows off his own face as the pioneer of the x-rated scheme.
A quick survey of King Tee's Snapchat account revealed the debasing and dehumanizing acts he subjects his girls to at different hotels just to entice his seeming large network of subscribers.
The Malaysian returnee also sells all manners of s*x enhancing drugs on social media with a fair success of regular patronage from s*x-crazed followers.
Recent observations by a correspondent on investigation showed he is currently marketing one 'Samsu Oil' majorly used my men in boosting their s*xual prowess. Mods Seun, Mynd44, Lalasticlala, do your job and censor this crap. |

There's absolutely nothing they produce in their region that the SWesterners haven't done already or can't replicate, absolutely none. We have our own indigenous industrialists, engineers and fabricators ( e.g http://www.abielect.com ). We are just not noisemakers or empty vessels like them, that's what differentiates us from them. Even the Aba they are making pangolo noise about is MOSTLY/NOTORIOUSLY known for churning out substandard knockoffs/imitations of known/popular brands and rechristening them as Tommy-HilFiNGer , Polo-By-Ralph-LaWRence , GucCHi , etc, and then begging the public to buy them as the originals. What could be more stupid than that? Their signature products are mostly substandard shoes and clothes that don't last. Sadly enough for them, while they are busy trying to convince people that their knockoffs/imitations are the real deal, SWest tailors/designers and Cobblers/shoemakers are proudly creating indigenous BRANDS (e.g http://www.ynorth.com.ng , http://www.shoespeed.com ) that are doing better and making Nigerians and foreigners feel PROUD to wear their products -- rather than try to steal other people's established & foreign brand names to try to sell their products like some are known for ). |

Koleman: hahaha. Do you know the same stats you rely upon can also be interpreted to mean less and less persons in the north use mobile phones? Like i said you are ignoring an important factor and making a random factor a major factor by making mobile phones goods of necessity which is not. So the same stats you posted may also mean the north do not see phones as important. In what way can it be interpreted to mean they don't see phones as important? By what logic? On what basis? Nigerian censuses have ALWAYS been controversial. Therefore unless one is conducted by international bodies/neural parties, they'll never be widely accepted for obvious reasons. These telcos data (from registered lines) are for now the closest things to an unbiased representation of an extrapolated estimate of population distribution in the country. If you have some other more reliable data please present it for us to peruse. |
Politics › Re: By NBS Estimates, Nigeria’s Population Now 193.3 Million. Kano State Leads by RockHard: 9:39am On Dec 30, 2016 |
Koleman: you try but you ignored one important determining factor. The literacy level. if we all agree that the north are educationally backward and 80% are almajiris who obviously do no own phones then these data becomes too thing and incomplete for conclusions. Nice try. You don't need to be 'literate' to you use a dumb phone, guy. Communication is a NEED these days, even in the 'illiterate' North. I've seen an Elderly Aboki in Lagos ask me to assist him in loading his recharge card on an old Nokia phone he used in calling the North. Northerners were the biggest beneficiaries of GEJ's mobile phone fertilizer distribution initiative. In other words, most Northerners now use phones, maybe not necessarily smartphones. |

Eastactivist: Are you counting non-nigerians join? Why should that matter? The population of a state is what it is. E.g If a Yorubaman or Togolese is counted as part of the population of Anambra state then he is a part of that state's population. It's that logical and straight-forward. |

Crap. Everyone knows that even that 2006 census was a fraud. Nigeria has always politicized population censuses for obvious reasons. But Thank God there are other data sources that give a ballpark extrapolated estimate of current states populations, like the one below gotten from the Telcos, courtesy of the same NBS, where you can easily deduce the most populated states in the country. The good thing about these sort of numbers is that they're devoid of ethnic/tribal, political or sentimental colorations that have always plagued national censuses. These are reliable enough data that points to the actual estimated population of each state as at today, whichever way one chooses to slice or dice it (you can choose to add 1 or 2 million to any of those numbers, doesn't make much difference in the end): http://www.nigerianstat.gov.ng/report/486
