Nigeria senior women national team have on saturday concluded their training camp in Nigeria ahead of four-nation invitational tournament in China.

The reigning African champions resumed camp at Serob Hotel, Wuye to begin their preparation on Monday and commenced training on Tuesday morning at the Fifa Goal Project, National Stadium, Abuja.

With the Super Falcons set to depart the country on Monday, January 14, they had their final training session at the practice pitch, National Stadium, Abuja on Saturday morning, with a mini five-a-side game.

The world governing body boss has made his stance known in the ongoing leadership crisis rocking Nigeria football.
Fifa president Gianni Infantino has revealed that Nigeria could be banned from international football.

His reactions came on the heels of the recurring long-standing imbroglio that hit the nation's football body following a court ruling that installed Chris Giwa as president while asking Pinnick to step down until the leadership matter was completely resolved legally.

In the meantime, Chris Giwa has since taken over the NFF headquarters as its authentic president courtesy of a Supreme Court judgment, which was implemented by the federal government.

However, the Fifa supremo revealed that the country risks an international ban if the leadership crisis rocking the West African nation lingers without respecting its statutes and regulations.

“The Nigeria Football Federation has a president and his name is [Amaju] Pinnick and he was elected,” said Infantino while reacting to a question asked from a journalist from TheCable during a press conference on Friday.

“We've [Fifa] been very clear about that already about some time ago. I felt this issue came up again. The situation is very clear.

"We have statutes and regulations – there can be no interferences in the running of the association and for this reason, Pinnick is working here [in Russia] in an official capacity.  He is the president elected by the members of the Nigeria FA. That’s the end of the story.

"If any external body thinks they can change this situation, then, of course, Nigeria risks a ban, as we have with any other association. We have democratic processes that have to be respected. It’s a very clear-cut and simple case."

The 21st African Senior Athletics Championships to be hosted in Asaba, Delta State from August 1-5, 2018, is set to be the biggest ever as projections of athletes' registration presently shows.

As much as 25 countries have already registered and many more are still expected.

A current breakdown indicates 473 male athletes have already been listed for the championships while 400 female athletes have also registered with 205 accompanying officials all set to hit Asaba for Africa’s flagship athletics competition.

The likes of South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya are all presenting large squads as they move to consolidate their dominant status on the continent.

Olukayode Thomas, Head of Media and Communication, Asaba 2018, expressed great satisfaction at the enthusiasm that has greeted the coming championships just as he assured that all hands are on the deck to make sure it is a memorable one.

Electorates in Kogi State West Senatorial district on Saturday protested against the recall process of Senator Dino Melaye after they alleged forgery of their signatures in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital.
