Doubling down on IGNORANCE, that's the Nigerian way. As you guys have said indeed, una no go gree for anybody this year, but you've actually never been comfortable with truth at ANY time in your national history. Why not calm down and learn? If you're on Nairaland putting in time, reading and typing about Nigeria, you should be grateful for the truth.

Nigerians have an exaggerated opinion of their national wealth. You remind me of this fellow on a thread who claimed Shell made a profit of $20 billion from Nigeria alone in 2021 cheesy
Here's PART of our exchange:
https://www.nairaland.com/7249943/senate-invite-emefiele-over-naira/9#115156689

My reply to him was -

USD26billion from 20 million Nigerians abroad is no match for what Nigerians here are generating.

From Dangote to Globacom to the banks to the oil companies to the insurance companies etc etc

You guys are NO match!!!

Like I said earlier bank workers here may be doing more than this cool

When we're talking electricity 24hrs, you must be referring to solar systems. True, they exist in Nigeria but VERY FEW have them. There's some people on this forum involved in that business in Nigeria, I bet if they cared to make a comment here they would tell you many of their customers are diasporans. In fact anyone involved in anything to do with building construction and such trades in Nigeria will likely confirm that fact.

Are you saying I don't know the difference between solar and regular electricity

I said we enjoy almost 24 hours in this part of the country. And we have many such areas nationwide.
I switch off my freezer from time to time to be able to remove stuffs.
I don't have a generator!!!

The richest Nigerians are NOT based in Nigeria. I've done a long explanation on how I know. It's simple to figure out. Just one outstanding example is TY Danjuma. He's one of a handful of dollar billionaires in Nigeria. He doesn't live in Nigeria, neither does his daughter who is likely to inherit his businesses.

The day I figured out the thing rich people are doing in Nigeria, I was very pleased. All you have to know is that the UK & Europe is 6 hours flight and USA is 12 hours. These rich people show up for public events and go to their village once in a while and it gives the impression they're in Nigeria. When I was little, I remember you would go by some of these mega mansions, when you talk to the gate man they would always say "Ah, Oga travelled". It was only when I got to be an adult that it dawned on me that Oga travelled ABROAD and LIVES abroad to make money. In an earlier discussion I named such people from my own hometown.

Are you the one who made Danjuma a billionaire

IBB, Obasanjo, Abdul Salam, Gowon etc are based abroad

So Dangote, Adenuga, Rabiu, Otedola, Alakija, Coscharis, Ibeto and co are based abroad

Jim Ovia, Elumelu, Aig, and our bank CEOs are based abroad

Adeboye, Oyedepo, Oyakhilome, Kumuyi etc etc are based abroad

Only our artistes especially the musicians are doing what you described.

The richest Nigerians are STILL BASED in Nigeria

Oh, you must always remember how poor your Federal Government is, their revenue is $15 billion per year. The Federal budget of Nigeria has NEVER been more than $40 billion since the return to democracy. Not only that, the TOTAL REVENUES of ALL STATES plus Federal Government isn't up to $30 billion. That's the ENTIRE FEDERATION revenue, it's about equal to remittances from abroad.

Sorry I had to burst your bubble. grin

Bottom line - You're IGNORANT. In this you're not alone. My advice to you if you care, is go and get informed. Internet will help you.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

We don't spend dollars in Nigeria.
A country is considered as rich or poor based on GDP. Diaspora remittances doesn't come anywhere near and has never been of help to our economy as a whole.

Jonathan was already doing 7000 before he left

2000 of that was lost to transmission deficits which is why we have the Siemens project to improve transmission.

And even then 7000 or 6100 is not enough, we need 33000 before we can talk of 24 hours light. The current phase of the Siemens project would enable the sector transmit up to 25000 mw

@Donaldoni....Well if Nigerians are so prosperous, how come so many are eager to migrate to WesternEurope & North America?

As for Nigerians being rich, it only applies to a few. Very, very few. The UN or World Bank didn't wake up and crown Nigeria the Poverty Capital of the World. They used data.

In your rich Nigeria only 7% of Lagosians have indoor running water AND flush toilets, not to talk of the rest of Nigeria.

How many Nigerians have access to 24hr electricity?

So it takes a currency crisis to prove how rich Nigerians are? How stupid is that? Those sacks of naira Nigerians were bringing out lost over HALF their value in less than 1 year.

Then you made the craziest comment -

This shows you have an exaggerated view of your country and most Nigerians are just like you. No wonder you think Nigerians are rich.

If you're interested in the Nigerian economy and how it works, you should go familiarize yourself with simple data. That's what the White Man invented the internet for.

BudgIT is likely the most reputable recorder of Government finances in Nigeria. Here's your Federal revenue and spending for 2023.

https://budgit.org/post_infographics/2023-approved-budget/

Total Revenue is ₦10.5 Trillion Using a very generous rate of ₦700/1$, it translates to a total gross Federal Government revenue of $15 billion.

$15 billion is much less than diaspora remittances of $26 billion. Which is why your CBN Governor said remittances are vital for the Nigerian economy. This is one of the reasons migration is so popular, these figures give a real basis for what people feel, why they DO what they do even if they don't know.

I've come across proud Nigerian attitudes like yours so many times. Like the guy who was claiming that Shell made $200 billion profit in Nigeria. I had a long argument here, I simply went on Shell website and pulled the numbers.

You all need to go and get enlightened. Very different from educated. No wonder Nigeria is the Poverty Capital of the World.

Good Luck to Nigerians

I never said Nigerians are rich. I am only saying Nigerians abroad are by no means better off in the contexts of their environment.

The dollars you send home that becomes big money here cannot take you anywhere over there.

Naira is still very valuable despite the devaluation. And when the refineries resume, things will definitely improve significantly.

I have access to almost 24 hours electricity. A sizeable number do.

Indoor running water and all that are no biggie.

World bank stats and the likes HAVE NEVER been accurate. They NEVER consider all the factors.

Diaspora remittances are have NEVER helped our economy!!
Family / Re: US Based Nurse Gifts Her Husband Who Brought Her To America A New Mercedes Benz by Donaldoni: 4:00pm On Mar 24
IbeOkehie:

That Nigerians spend that amount of money abroad is proof that Nigeria doesn't have basic necessities of middle class life. Poor quality in every sector - education, healthcare, security, energy availability and on and on. You have to go abroad to buy it.

Not necessarily so.

Some of our public and private universities are far better than the mushrooms schools most of our people pay through their noses to attend abroad.

Nobody reckons with those certificates back home in Nigeria. And our people end up doing school cert jobs over there after graduation too.

I don't have a generator at home. That's because I have near 24 hours electricity.

Security is improving and considering the very few security personnel we have, it's a miracle everywhere is this calm. If we compare the stats, we are still doing better.

Politicians prefer to go abroad for healthcare because they are afraid of being vulnerable in our own hospitals.

Our healthcare is fairly okay.

I'm not one of those who denigrate Nigerians at home. I have friends in Nigeria who earn $1K per day. I hope we're all educated here, it about PROBABILITY for everyone, not cherry picked outliers. Nigeria is the official Poverty Capital of the World.

Wrong!

A huge number of Nigerians are earning dollars.

Drivers and security men here are landlords and have their own cars. You will be shocked. Not to talk about the artisans.

During the cash scarcity crisis was when I knew Nigerians had money. See fight in the banking halls and at the ATMs. Was it your money they fighting to access?

I personally saw so-called 'poor' people carrying sacks of old Naira notes to the CBN when Emefiele declared it non-legal tender,

The diaspora remits more money than your entire Federal Government of Nigeria gets in revenue. Think about that. That's a national government with a revenue base of over 150 million people.

How can FG annual revenue be USD26billion for chrissake Maybe Lagos state.

Do the comparison. How many Nigerians earn $1300 per year? That's about ₦200K per month. Hmmm? Data from PWC and other sources are clear...only 0.4% of Nigerians earn over ₦200K per month . That's what diaporans send home as gift to their relatives. grin

Anyway your Central Bank Governor has already admitted that diaspora remittances are a major pillar of the Nigerian economy. Go and argue with him.

NGN200k in Nigeria is chicken change. Many Nigerians earn far more than NGN200k per month. NGN200k may only be a big deal to SOME private school teachers/drivers/gatemen.
Even those earning less in salaries do other runs to make more money.
Nigerians NEVER depend on salary alone. NEVER!!!

Diaspora remittances are NO pillar of the Nigerian economy and has NEVER helped our Naira.
Most of the remittances are for the senders' personal projects back home and not necessarily gifts.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

Goodluck to us all.
Politics / Those Who Want Naira To Be N400 To Dollar Are Living In Dream World – Moghalu by Great100000: 3:38pm On Mar 24
A former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Kingsley Moghalu, has said that those who want the Naira to be N400 to the Dollar are living in a dream world.

According to him, the exchange rate should reflect its market value in reality.

Moghalu claimed that Godwin Emefiele’s era at the Central Bank created artificiality that it sought to maintain to please economic illiterates in political power at the time.

Moghalu, who made this known in a post on his X handle on Sunday, insisted that artificiality created room for massive arbitrage by speculators which bled the economy.

He suggested that the sooner the country focused on the creation of value-added manufacturing export economy that earned forex beyond oil in real and significant terms, the better.

He said: “Those who want the Naira to be N400 to the $ are living in a dream world. Even discounting for the negative impact of speculative attacks on the value of the Naira, the exchange rate will (and should) reflect its market value in reality, not the artificiality that the Emefiele era central bank sought to maintain to please economic illiterates in political power at the time.

“That artificiality created room for massive arbitrage by speculators which bled the economy. Nigeria does not (yet) have a productive export economy. That’s the heart of the matter.

“And we do not have $100 billion in foreign reserves. So on what basis would the Naira forex rate return to some fantasy land soon? It will also take time to regain or achieve full investor confidence such as we had when we were there (and the rate was N150-165 to the $.

“The sooner we focus on a painstaking creation of value-added manufacturing export economy that earns forex beyond oil in real and significant terms, the better. Key to this is the electricity conundrum in which we are at less than 4,000 megawatts of generation for a population of 200 million for decades now.

“Take power to even 20K megawatts (let’s not talk of 50K for South Africa’s 60 million population or Brazil’s 181K megawatts for a population only slightly larger than Nigeria) and you will see what the Nigerian entrepreneurial spirit is capable of.”

Politics / Re: Buhari Lacked Political Will, Tinubu Should Be Commended For Naming Terror Finan by paramakina202: 10:41am On Mar 24
Good01:
By Ignatius Igwe

More reactions keep trailing the list of alleged terrorism financiers released by the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) as well as the tragic murder of 17 military personnel in Delta State on March 14, 2024. While the military says investigations are ongoing, a former Commander of Operation Safe Haven in Plateau State, Major General Henry Ayoola (retd), described it as an assault on the Nigerian state. He was a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme during the week.

Excerpts:

Give us a sense of what happened in Okuama community and within the security circle. There are a lot of talk about the implications, what could have led to the attack and the dynamics of this. For someone like you who has led troops in similar terrain, what came to your mind when you heard the story?

Thank you very much. I will start by commiserating with the families of these gallant officers and soldiers who were gruesomely murdered in a very unusual way in a tragedy. It’s anathema. It’s a terrible thing that shouldn’t have happened at all. I just joined all members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and including those of us who are outside the service to commiserate with the families of the deceased personnel. We pray and trust that God will comfort the bereaved ones and that this kind of thing should never happen to us as a nation again.

I also like to correct the numbers that are being bandied around. The actual number is 17 in total – the commanding officer who is a lieutenant colonel, two majors, one captain and 13 soldiers, making 17. The issue of human lives cannot be something we will be approximating so we need to be correct about it; it is 17 precious lives.

What comes readily to my mind is: it is a sad load for me, for us, for our country to be in this state. I mean, as somebody who has seen the nation and been around the military sector for over 50 years, I asked myself: How did we get here? You know, how did we get here as a nation? When I was commanding Operation Safe Haven, we have had near such disasters before because what has happened over time is that our nation has lost touch with values, with ethics, with character. What we are seeing is a harvest of long-time failure of parental responsibilities, societal responsibility, of nurturing and upbringing. It’s a case that has gone through a cycle where you had parents who perhaps were not properly brought up and now become parents themselves. It’s sure to happen that way because the law of sowing and reaping applies in all situations, nobody beats it. What is done more greatly in one generation will be done in excess in the next. That’s how it works and that’s what we’re seeing. It’s a sorry state for us to be but I think it’s a clarion call for all of us to wake up and begin to address the real issues.

We’ve done a lot of palliatives, dodging the issues and tolerating things that should have been decisively dealt with over the years. It’s not just something that is happening. What we’ve seen is a habit of several years of negligence, several years of padding things that should have been frontally dealt with. And that’s what we’re seeing now, where you have a situation that the level of civil disobedience has escalated to news not even being deterred by the fact that these are uniformed men and should be respected. It’s an assault on the state, it’s an assault on our collective psyche. It’s something that should outrage everyone of us and nobody should make any attempt to play down on it at all. It’s a wakeup call, we should all wake up and smell the coffee and say: ‘This cycle should end here.’ This cycle of bloodletting, this vicious circle of lawlessness at its peak should come to an end here and everybody should come into this fight.

It is so sad, the brazen attack and the killing of men in uniform. The situation, according to those who know, says it’s a matter of a land dispute and you wonder the role of the military in this kind of situation. Has this been the procedure for the military to be called into this kind of civil engagement or what do you think could have been? Is it a normal procedure for the officers to be involved in this kind of situation at night? What could have gone wrong with this?

Let’s look at it realistically, the truth of it is that our nation is not in the normal state. I mean, the fact that virtually every state in the country today has one military operation or the other tells you that we are not in a normal state. If not, then, why do we have operation this, operation that in all the states? It means we have crossed that threshold of what the normal civil enforcement agencies can handle. That’s what it means. We have been the same people putting so much pressure on the Armed Forces and say, even for non-kinetic measures, the soft-power options and all of that.

Of course, the commanding officer would have thought to nip an obviously boiling issue before it escalates. There can be a thousand and one argument as to whether there was a tactical error or not. It doesn’t matter if a mistake was made. That a set of youths somewhere will have the audacity and the recklessness not to even spare people in uniform who have laid down their lives for the benefit of the rest of us? That level of temerity should not be tolerated. That’s my take on it.

One can only imagine if this is not properly managed, a kind of aggression and a kind of reaction that could have come naturally if it’s not well–managed from the military.

When I was on Operation Safe Haven, we held peace palace almost every week because it was clear that this was not just purely a security challenge. And so there was a need to engage different groups of people, different age groups, different ethnic groups, and different religious groups, all in an attempt to find a solution. In Yoruba, there is a proverb that when something is lost, you search for it anyhow. When you are trying to find a solution to very abnormal situations, you cross several lines, you bend backwards, you lower yourself to even, more or less becoming a preacher even though you are in uniform, you do everything because you want a solution. And if the solution is going to come by the softpower method, by the peace approach, why not? we have been too long in this state as a nation. If you imagine the amount of money that have been spent for the various operations that have been on in the country for over 20 years, those kinds of money will have been used to develop our infrastructure. So the military officers are aware of these things. They are not happy being out there doing what ordinarily should have been police work, nobody is happy with that. That’s the reality on the ground.

Let me take you to the terrorism financiers’ list that was released by the authorities which listed about 15 persons and firms alleged to be involved in terror financing and are being listed for sanctions. What do you make of this?

Nigeria has been battling to kill terrorism for over 20 years now from the northeast region. And now we’re seeing some active roles of these terror gangs within the northwest region of the country in the name of banditry.

Now, one of those persons is facing a trial over alleged link to the train attack in Kaduna. Tukur Mamu in this particular situation. What comes to mind when you heard that the Buhari government had said it would release the list of terror financiers but for eight years that never happened.

I think this is one place that we should give a pat on the back to the current government (the Bola Tinubu administration). I was on the edge severally during the last regime. There was lack of national will to deal with this situation at the time. It is good to see a government that is showing a stronger will to deal with these situations. I have said it again and again, that what we have is a political strategic problem masquerading as security challenges. I’ve said that 1001 times. In my analysis of insurgency and terrorism, I’ve talked about eight essays and indeed, one of the essays is what is coming out now – sponsors – because out of the eight essays, all the approaches we have applied in trying to solve the insurgency and terrorism in the country are just about two components of those eight. So adding this third one to it will go a long way because it’s like we’ve been dodging the issue. It’s like we’ve been dodging naming the enemy, naming the adversaries behind this problem. Are we saying that the gates of hell were open suddenly and Nigeria is just having these all-around security challenges coming? Is it that aliens were sent from some abyss to come and attack Nigeria all at the same time?

Matthew 24:14, Jesus states that "this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations."
We will explore the topic of whether the Gospel has been preached to all nations. Read all here: https://faithfulhome.com.ng/has-the-gospel-been-preached-to-all-nations/

Jesus said for being peaceable and friendly his disciples will be the talk of the whole world {Matthew 5:14-16} yet they will be hated for his sake {Matthew 24:9} because they will always stick to what he taught them! John 15:19

So even though they're relatively small in number across the globe they're a formidable force that all people must reckon with! smiley

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

FRIDAY 22ND MARCH 2024. Pastor Chris

THEME: FROM JERUSALEM TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem (Luke 24:46-47).

‭‭There are proponents of a false teaching that Christianity is a Jewish religion, but the words of the Lord Jesus in the opening text dispel that notion. He said the Gospel “…should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” The Gospel is for all. Christianity is for all; it only started in Jerusalem. So, don’t limit the Gospel; preach it to everyone, everywhere, and in all nations! The Bible says in Mark 13:10, "And the gospel must first be published among all nations."

In Matthew 24:14 NIV, Jesus said, “...this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Then in Matthew 28:19, He instructed, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

In fact, before His glorious ascension to heaven, He told His disciples, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8 ). So, the disciples began from Jerusalem, spread the Gospel to Judea and Samaria, and then moved to the ends of the earth.

Thus, it was from Jerusalem to the very bounds of the earth. This shows that the Gospel is for everybody; it’ll produce results in the life of anyone who hears and believes it everywhere and anywhere in this world. Don’t limit the Gospel to your locality; tell everyone about Jesus.

Yes, talk to your spouse, parents, teachers, students, neighbours, colleagues or co-workers about Jesus. Preach the Gospel to them. For those in the hinterlands and seemingly forgotten places of the earth who may not even understand your language, send them Rhapsody of Realities.

Thanks be unto God; Rhapsody of Realities is available in every known language on earth. So, it’s a tool for global evangelization. It’s a love note from God with which you can preach the Gospel everywhere and to everyone. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the universal reach of the Gospel as it’s what brings salvation to all, with no one left out. I’m an ambassador of Christ in the Gospel. Through me, the Gospel reaches many today whom you’ve ordained for salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
Romans 16:25-27
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: 27 To God only wise, [be] glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Matthew 24:14 AMPC
And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.

Luke 24:46-47 NIV
He told them, "This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and 47 repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Believer's Lifestyle (5)

A Life of Selflessness

1 Corinthians 10:24 states: "No one should seek their own good, but the good of others." (1 Peter 3:8, etc.)

Even the scripture says the entire law is fulfilled in loving your neighbors as yourself.

The lack of preoccupation with one's own interests, advancement, desires, etc., and attentiveness to those of others.

A believer's lifestyle is according to this pattern. I can talk and talk about the importance of being generous, asking about people, etc., but that's not what I'm here to do. Though it's important to understand that life does not just revolve around you.

Quite painful that we have a generation of believers for whom all that matters is that IT'S NOT A SIN.

That you don't care what they wear, whether exposed or not, too tight or not, as long as it's not a sin, I'm good to go.

Do not care if someone is affected by the choice of your clothes, do not care if someone is affected by the character you display.

I can behave the way I like; I don't care what men think. Hmm.

I'm reminding you that the life you received is a selfless one; you should care. The balance is that you don't live to please men. That is the balance. Your life is not directed to please just men.

But still, understand that the life you've received is a life of selflessness. It's not all about you.

The life you've received is a life of intercession!

YOU HAVE WHAT YOU SAY - Part 36

2Corinthians 4:18 (KJV) "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.".

36. You say what you see and you see what you say. You see what you say. If you see the word of God you will say faith words. If you see things according to the word of God, you will say, speak or talk according to the word of God. If all you see are the circumstances and problems you will speak doubts, fear and unbelief. The eyes of faith is the eye that sees only what the word says. The eyes of faith is blind to the world and all that can be seen physically or felt.

The eyes of unbelief is blind to the word of God. The bible says 2Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV) "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.". What you hear also determines what you say and see.

Example is the temptation and fall of Adam in Genesis 3:1-6 (KJV) "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.". Thanks. Grace be with you. Ref. 2Corinthians 4:16-18; Hebrews 11:1-31; 1John 4:18; 2Timothy 1:7;

f you need healing the bible says in Matthew 8:17 that Jesus Himself took all our sicknesses and diseases. Therefore you can receive your healing now by faith in the name of Jesus. Just lay your hand on the affected area of your body and say this prayer. Father God, in the name of Jesus I believe that Jesus died for my healing. I believe He took all my sickness and diseases on the cross. If He took them, then I cannot have them. Therefore I resist and I reject every sickness in my body and I confess Jesus today as my healer and I receive my healing now. Thank you Jesus that I am healed. 1Peter 2:24; Ps 107:20.
Now begin to do what you couldn't do before because of the sickness. You are healed in Jesus name.

Heaven is real, Hell is real. Jesus is coming very soon. Judgement Day is coming. But you can become a born again child of God today. The bible says If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shalt be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10; John 1:12.

Say this prayer: Father God, have mercy on me. I come to you today in the name of Jesus. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died for me. I believe that you raised Him from the dead for my salvation. I accept Jesus in my heart today and I confess Him today as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you Father that today I am saved In Jesus name.

If you prayed the prayer of Salvation, pls go to a nearby bible believing Church in your area, so you can grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus. Grace be with you.

Pets / BENDOG Hits Millions In TV In 24 Hrs: What's Fueling The FOMO? by Muhaammaadd01: 8:00pm On Mar 21
As a fervent observer and participant in the ever-evolving cryptosphere, I've stumbled upon a gem that's been creating waves – BENDOG. It's a story, a phenomenon, fueled by the spirit of Ben The Dog, a figure who's provided unparalleled courage and inspiration right from Solana's infancy stages for those who can still remember... 😅

What makes BENDOG stand out in the crowded marketplace is its compelling blend of Solana's technological prowess with the infectious charm of meme culture. This synergy is further amplified by Ben The Dog's connection to one of Solana's co-founders, bestowing upon BENDOG an aura of celebrity that's hard to ignore.

But what's truly remarkable is the tangible evidence of its growing popularity. With daily trading volumes hitting millions and over 5,000 transactions in a mere 24 hours, it's clear that the enthusiasm around BENDOG is not just talk. This widespread distribution and a notable price rebound paint a promising picture for its future.

The project's high social media engagement, driven by an English-speaking community ripe with FOMO, only add to the allure. With the listing on Bitget, I'm eagerly watching, ready to witness the next chapter in BENDOG's journey.

Seems someone is MISTAKEN as so many have also missed the simply Biblical reconning of days of the WEEK.

Exodus 20:10 (KJV)
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

Point 1:
The 7TH DAY is the LORD'S SABBATH DAY.
You can choose the 1st, 5th, 6th or any other as your Sabbath day, but if you talk about God's Sabbath day, it can only be the 7TH DAY

But which day is SUNDAY?
Matthew 28:1
In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

Point 2:
The end of the Sabbath marks the beginning of the 1st Day of the week

Hence after THE SABBATH DAY (7TH DAY), we return again to the 1ST DAY.

(Also Note that Leviticus 23:32 says .......from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.)

Mark 16:9
Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

Point 3:
Jesus Rose on the First day of the week.
This day "NO ONE ARGUES ITS SUNDAY"

Mark 16:2
And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
Mark 16:9 (KJV) Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

More Verses

Luke 24:1-6 (KJV)
1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

GOD'S SABBTH DAY =7TH DAY =SABBATH DAY = SATURDAY

1ST DAY = SUNDAY (THE DAY OF JESUS'S RESURRECTION)

Infact God Himself warned us about this seemingly CHANGE
Daniel 7:25 (KJV) And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws:......

Fashion / 27 Big Braids Hairstyles To Inspire Your Next "Do" by Racoon(m): 1:57pm On Mar 21
We love box braids and mini twists, but there’s a growing demand for bigger and bolder looks this year. According to Pinterest, the search for ‘big braids hairstyles’ is up by 30 percent, with many looking to try more statement braids like the design stitch braids.

In case you don’t have the time to mindlessly scroll through hundreds of hairdos, we compiled 27 big braids hairstyles we predict are going to be everywhere in 2024. We also tapped hairstylists to share their favorite looks and tips for recreating them right at home.

1. Large Knotless Braids
Zendaya turned heads with these knotless braids at the CFDA Awards—and we’re still talking about them. According to Sands, your stylist will create this look by parting your hair into large sections before applying a strong hold gel and braiding your natural hair. Next, they’ll begin feeding in hair extensions to make a thicker braid. “[People of all] hair types and densities can wear this hairstyle. However, [you need] at least three inches of hair to properly install this style,” adds Sands.

2. Lob
A lob (aka a long bob) will always be stylish and a braided version is even more stunning. According to our experts, you want to find a length that flatters your face shape and then you can style the lob in a variety of ways. “If you want it to be chin-length, consider leaving the ends unfinished for a gentle flip or extend them to shoulder-length for a chic lob,” says May. Adding a side part or some dazzling accessories on the ends can give the look a nice finishing touch.

3. Fo'Hawk
Janelle Monae proves you can add a bit of edge to your big braids hairstyle. The singer rocks an intricate braid in the center, adorned with rings and her sides are left completely smooth to mimic a mohawk.

4. Singular Braid Updo
Whether you’re attending a wedding or simply looking for a hairstyle that keeps your strands from sticking to your neck, this updo should be saved in your inspo folder. Once you create a high braided pony, drape the tail across your head and pin the ends back for an elegant updo.

5. Tousled Ponytail
If you have straight or looser waves, this tousled look should be on your radar. To emulate Blake Lively’s style, don’t spend too much time making it pristine. The messier, the better.

6. Cornrows
Like box braids, cornrows can be a versatile hairstyle to try out. It’s up to you how many rows of braids and how far apart you want them. To recreate Tracee Ellis Ross’ look, part your hair into five sections and start braiding them down towards the nape of your neck. Then, gather the ends into a low bun for a casual look.

7. Bohemian Braids
This style continues to be a popular choice regardless of the season. As Sands explains, “This [look] is achieved by parting the hair and braiding using extensions. A thin wavy extension is added throughout the braiding process and remains outside of the braid for a waterfall look. It’s so beautiful!”

8. Lengthy Cornrows
As mentioned, cornrows can be customized to your style. Consider playing with length like Ross and showing off cascading braids that fall past your waist.

9. Fishtail Braid
Here’s your sign to step your braiding game and try out a fishtail style. Create a low ponytail like Lucy Liu above and refer to this handy tutorial to recreate the look on yourself.

10. Low Ponytail
The low pony can be turned into any style (i.e., double twist, French or fishtail) and it can be decorated with snazzy accessories, as Aja Naomi King shows us. If you have shorter locks, add some extensions or reach for a hair piece to get in on the fun.

11. Half-up, Half Down
Kelly Rowland proves that box braids can change into any look. Case in point: This half-up, half down style. Section your hair and gather the top half into a high ponytail, while leaving the rest down.

12. Red High Pony
If you’ve been eyeing a new hair color, let Keke Palmer persuade you to make the change. Her bold red hue elevates her big braids hairstyle and the high pony brings it to the next level.

13. Milkmaid Braids
This elevated version of a crown braid is simple to recreate at home. Once you divide your hair into two pigtails, start braiding each tail before overlapping each section and pinning in place. Finish off the style by leaving two wavy tendrils out for a more casual style. (If you need more guidance, here’s a step-by-step video to get you started.)

14. The Tendy
This latest trend requires just one step: Leave one tendril out. As Potempa told us recently, “A tendy is a tendril of hair used to frame the face on just one side, as opposed to two tendrils framing the face on both sides. It gives your hair a fashionable edge with its asymmetry.” This small detail can make a huge difference to your look.

15. Halo Bread
Wrap one big braid around your head and use a few bobby pins to secure the look in place. You might need to brush up on your Dutch braiding skills, but luckily we have you covered.

16. Jumbo Updo
Presenting an updo worthy of any formal events you have coming up. The intricately woven jumbo braids follow angled lines that draw the eyes all the way up to the high bun on top.

17. Pigtails
Janelle Monae proves that you can rock pigtails as an adult. To recreate the look, simply divide your hair into two low ponytails, then braid them into any style you want. Don’t forget to secure the ends with hair ties and add some jewels so you’ll shine all night long.

18. Senegalese Twists
Show your braider these chic twists seen on Kerry Washington above. Or you can attempt it yourself with a comb, some styling gel and elastic bands. Use the comb to section off your hair, gel for twisting each braid and an elastic band to secure the ends. Have fun dressing it down or whipping it into other hairstyles (like a high pony or a half-up, half-down look).

19. Side Braid
A side part and a side braid? talk about a hairstyle worthy of red carpets and brunch dates with friends.

20. Wavy Ends
Florget the rules. If you have thicker strands like Lupita, this look works by braiding at the roots and stopping mid-length to let the rest of your waves flow down to create a unique finish.

21. Design Stitch Braids
This early aughts style is making a comeback and getting a major update a la the designed edges as seen on Ashanti above. As Sands explains, “These braids are created using the stitch-in braiding technique, which involves sectioning the hair into thin or thick horizontal lines and braiding them into cornrows using hair extensions. The result is a stunning and unique stitched look that sets stitch braids apart from other big braided hairstyles.”

22. Dutch Braids
We’ve established the Dutch braid is a quick and easy style (see: #14), so recreate this one sported by Danai Guiria.

23. High Pony
There’s your regular high pony and then there’s this braided version that takes things up a notch. Make like Susan Kelechi Watson and secure a ponytail at the highest point of your head before braiding it all the way down to your shoulders.

24. Short Side Pony
If you have short hair, consider this side pony style. Use a boar bristle brush to smooth your hair over to one side, before tying it into a pony and adding three big braids like Yara Shahidi.

25. Bubble Braids
This trendy hairstyle continues to be popular year after year. If you want to look as amazing as Gold Rosheuvel, tie your hair up into a high ponytail before breaking the tail up into ‘bubbles’ using elastics. Tip: Use your fingers to tease out the bubbles and give them more volume.

26. Bob
Braids and bobs are a match made in hair heaven. Danai Guiria takes the look one step further by rocking combed-out ends with hers on the red carpet.

27. Fishtail High Bun
Trust us, this intricate high bun is worth the time and effort. You’ll need multiple layers of fishtail braids to create the look and a nice styling gel to slick back any flyaways.

Romance / Re: All Nigerian Women Need To Learn Loyalty From Sowore's Wife....... by sageb: 6:57pm On Mar 20
Ilekokonit:
All Nigerian Women especially those living in the UK, Europe and America need to learn LOYALTY from Sowore's Wife.

Sowore last week finally joined his wife and 2 children in America after 5 years of enforced captivity by the Nigerian government.

Throughout Sowore's travails, his wife stood by him and below are some of the steps she took to ensure that her husband rejoined her in the US -

1. She complained bitterly to Senator Bob Menendez who used his office to pressure the Nigerian Government as shown in the first video below.
2. She also complained to a member of the US House of Reps Congressman Josh Gottheimer
who also took up Sowore's case and was even part of Sowore's Homecoming celebration party in the US last week. Congressman Gottheimer even brought a gift for Sowore last week.
3. She complained to the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Centre that advocates for human rights issues and pursues strategic litigation to hold governments accountable at home and around the world.
4. She went on live TV programs on CNN and CBS News to talk about her fight to get her husband released from confinement to Abuja.
5. She led protesters to the United Nations Plaza in New York on September 24, 2019 to demand her husbands release.
6. Even when Sowore lost his American Green Card after 1 year of not visiting America, the wife did not give up on him or see it as a reason to declare herself as a single parent in the hope of collecting welfare support for her children and neither did she turn her childrens mind against their father in those 5 long years.
7. Instead she kept Sowore's case on the front burner by constantly reminding Senator Bob Menendez and Congressman Josh Gottheimer of Sowore's inability to leave Abuja talk less of coming back to America since his green card had expired after 1 year.
8. Because she was born in the US, she used that fact plus her UNRELENTING complaints to the 2 US lawmakers mentioned above to impress on the authorities and convince them to allow Sowore come back to re-unite with her and her 2 kids since they all were born in America.
9. Senator Bob Menendez pressured the Nigerian Government on Sowore's case as shown in the first video below and this is all thanks to Sowore's wife not giving up on her husband who was away for 5 years.
10. Sowore's wife ensured her husbands plight was ALWAYS kept on the front burner and this LOYALTY ensured that Sowore was able to reunite with her and their 2 kids last week in America.
11. Also important is that she did NOT turn Sowore's children into his enemies by lying to them, confusing them and brain washing them against THEIR FATHER in those 5 years of Sowore's absence like a LOT of Nigerian women in the UK, Europe and America are fond of doing (for single parent financial support from these foreign Governments) when the husband goes to Nigeria to try his hands at business for just a few months and these women lie to the children that THEIR FATHER has abandoned them.
12. His wife Opeyemi Sowore is the Vice President, Head of Consumer Engagement at Teladoc Health having previously led as executive at American Express, Citigroup and Delta Air Lines. She holds a BA from State University of New York at Binghamton in 1995 and an MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester in 1997.
13. She has a good job, her own money, was born in America and yet she did not abandon Sowore who was away for 5 years !!!!!!!
14. What a woman. And how lucky Sowore is to have accidentally found such a LOYAL and DUTIFUL wife who loved him genuinely and did NOT give up on him or abandon him when he was stuck in Nigeria for 5 years.
15. Sowore and his wife are now embarking on a second honeymoon with their 2 kids in tow.

BEHIND EVERY HAPPY, ACHIEVING HUSBAND IS A LOYAL WIFE THAT REFUSES TO GIVE UP ON HIM IN TRYING TIMES.

YOU HAVE WHAT YOU SAY - Part 35

1Corinthians 15:33 (KJV) "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.".

35. Faith always has a good report. Faith always says something good and positive. Every report of fear, doubt and unbelief is an evil report . You have what you say whether good or bad. If you confess faith that is what you will get. If you confess fear, doubt and unbelief that is what you will get. If you confess life that is what you get. If you confess death that is what you get. Never speak according to your circumstances.

Never complain and murmur or criticize because that is what everyone is saying. Avoid speaking the same mind with the world. Never follow public opinion. All these are always full of evil reports. Even what is called news on the media are always full of evil report. It is evil that makes news in the world so that people will always have enough evil to talk about daily. Evil reports are from the devil to provide a conducive atmosphere for evil to thrive.

Never confess negatives or failures or impossibilities. All things are possible to him that believes. If you say you can, then you can. If you say you can't then you can't. Proverbs 6:2 (KJV) "Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. Matthew 12:37 (KJV) For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.". Thanks. Grace be with you. Ref. Hebrews 3:12,18-19; 4:2; 11:1,6; Romans 10:17; Number 13:27-33; 14:1-45; 1Corinthians 10:1-13;

If you need healing the bible says in Matthew 8:17 that Jesus Himself took all our sicknesses and diseases.

Romance / Re: All Nigerian Women Need To Learn Loyalty From Sowore's Wife....... by Konquest: 8:47pm On Mar 19

Learning to listen to God (4)

Tue, 19 Mar 2024

‘My immediate response was not to consult any human being.’ Galatians 1:16

God’s direction will often be followed by a season of preparation. And the length of that season is determined by the size of your assignment. So when God speaks to you, it’s not always wise to rush out and tell people. Who wouldn’t want to talk about the amazing experience Paul had with Christ on the Damascus road? And there would be a right time for Paul to do that – but not yet. So don’t move until God gives you the green light. Why? Two reasons:

1) You need time, maturing, and equipping
so that the word you have received can take root within you, grow, and be fulfilled in the way God wants.

2) Sometimes, God takes time to prepare the hearts of those He is sending you to.
Paul writes: ‘… my immediate response was not to consult any human being. I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus. Then, after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas and stayed with him fifteen days. I saw none of the other apostles—only James, the Lord's brother. I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.’ (Galatians 1:16-20 NIV). Paul knew people would find his calling unbelievable, and he had the wisdom to wait. He allowed God to go ahead of him and orchestrate the circumstances. And while he was waiting, he allowed the word he had received to grow and make changes in his life. Then, and only then, did he start doing what he was called to do. Paul didn’t try to convince anybody; he let God do that. And the end result? ‘And they praised God because of me.’ (Galatians 1:24 NIV).
Religion / You Have What You Say. Part 33 by PastorSomba(m): 9:23pm On Mar 18
YOU HAVE WHAT YOU SAY - Part 33.

Mark 16:15-17 (KJV) "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;.".

33. Words are spirits, the spirit of the speaker and the spirit of the words he is saying. There are only two spirits, the Spirit of God and evil spirit. And there are only two words, the word of God and wisdom of this world. And whoever you are listening to there is a fellowship between your spirit, the spirit of the speaker and the spirit of the words he is saying. As the fellowship increases so strong becomes the relationship, bonding and building of strongholds.

As faith comes by hearing the word of God so also fear, doubt, unbelief and death comes by hearing any other thing that is not the word of God. So be careful of the music you hear daily, what you read daily, what you watch on television and videos daily. Be careful of the conversations you hold daily, the people you talk with and the topic you discuss. You have what say. If you speak evil or talk evil all day long that is what you will have some day soon.

Only the word of God is good and true. Every other words are evil and lies no matter how factual and naturally good they may seem. God is a Father and wants to relate and fellowship with all His children by His word daily all the time. That is why He lives inside every believer together with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Remember whatever you are reading and whatever you are listening to is what you are saying at the same time. You cannot read without saying what you are reading. You cannot hear without repeating what you have heard. Thanks. Grace be with you. Ref. John 6:63; 14:6; 2Timothy 1:7; 3:16; Romans 8:1-14; 10:17; Ephesians 6:10-18; 1Corinthians 2:1-8; 15:33; James 1:5-8; Joshua 1:8; Proverbs 4:20-22;

Religion / Re: New Changes For Jehovah's Witness: Women Can Wear Trousers, Men Must Not Wear.. by Azaland(f): 1:31am On Mar 18
Maximus692:

Jesus said for being peaceable and friendly his disciples will be the talk of the whole world {Matthew 5:14-16} yet they will be hated for his sake {Matthew 24:9} because they will always stick to what he taught them! John 15:19

So even though they're relatively small in number across the globe they're a formidable force that all people must reckon with! smiley
Obviously, many people don't understand the jw people.

I see many people here calling them cults.

I think I can suggest something: each person here should do his own research and stop spreading them say them say information.

Even the bible self, most church people don't read or know what's inside.

Guys, stop listening to hearsay.

Own your truth.

As for me, I'm gonna do some research into truth about this jw people. I will also do research about what the bible say Christians must do.

Whatever I find, I'll share. Follow me

This is not surprising at all, but as far as I'm concerned, elections did not take place in Russia.

Just call it another coronation of Putin to extend his 24-year rule, he eliminated his major opponents and manipulated everything and everyone in his favor

Naija Russian don talk 😂😂😂
