Romance / The Lifestyle Most Lady Chose by Shobizz(m): 2:02pm On Mar 28

Girls at the age of 18-24 years always attract serious men who are fully ready to marry them, but at this age most of our girls/sisters never wish to hear anything about marriage.
1. I'm too young for that.
2. Who cares about marriage.
3. I'm focused on my books.
4. I want to gather some money first.
5. Marriage is full of problems.

These are some of few statements ladies talk of at their youth age.
But these girls will be having serious & series of sex relationship with small boys of their age, because at that age, they always have high rate of boys, guys and men coming for them, but they will prefer to choose those boys rather than the real men who want to marry them. They are still young to marry right, but they are not young to have sex with boys.
No problem, God is watching you.

At age of 25-27, parents will start asking them the following questions;
1. How far?
2. Don't you have any one yet ?
3. Are you not planning to get married ?
4. Are you seeing that all your mates are getting married ?
5. Don't you know you are getting old?
But mind you, parents only see the outside of their daughters, not knowing there is nothing left inside.

With all these questions by her own parents, she will now be thinking and asking herself things like: My mates are marrying,
1. Does it mean am old enough to marry?
2. Hmmm, how should I go about it?
3. My boyfriends are not serious about asking my hand in marriage.
4. They are not even ready to marry yet.
5. Well, God knows the best. I believe in God.
See oooh...!, she has started putting her blame on God. "God's time is the best" OK, I agree for argument sake.

At age 27-30 they now start looking for men to marry not boys to have sex and play with again.
They will start looking for serious relationship that will lead to marriage, but unfortunately, at this age of 27-30 not all men will be asking their hand in marriage.
You will see them forcing themselves to marry a man who don't want to marry them. Please we beg you, leave us alone.

No single man at age 27-30 will like to marry a lady of 30-35. Now you hear the sisters say age does not matter.
My sister, it matters a lot.
Imagine buying a rotten tomato for $10 and your friend buys a fresh one for $7. Yes, that's how it feels like in marriage too.

Remember you rejected men because you think you were too young. What makes you think your old age does not matter to us?
That's why some men go back to their villages to find young girl to marry when the city ones are not serious about marriage and those that are serious happen to be old for them.

At age 30-35, her friends will ask her:
1. Why are you not married yet by this age of yours?
2. Is it not getting too late for you ?
You will hear her asking you some silly questions like...
1. Are you God?
2. Or do you want to marry me?
3. Is it a crime to be single at 30 or 35?
4. Did I see a man willing to marry me but I refused?
5. God knows the best for everyone please.

At age 30-35 they will start praying like never before, moving from one church to another. If she's a Muslim, she will start praying night prayers, fasting and dressing modestly.
If you ask her for dating, she would burst out to say:

1. My brother, I'm not like them.
2. Am looking for a serious man, a husband not dating.
3. If you truly love me go and see my parents for marriage.
4. I can't do anything with you without my parents concern.

Dear parents, they have started knowing your worth. When she was 18-24, she was doing everything without considering you as parents.
You don't expect a young man of 27-30 to marry you of 30-35 as his house wife when there are younger pretty girls out there.
Even if he chooses to ignore your age and marry you, his family and friends will discriminate you.

Men that will be interested to marry you will be of 45 yrs and above and mind you, those men are married with kids except you wanna be second or third wife.

Everything in life has its own season and time.
There's no lady at age 30-35 seeking for marriage who haven't been approached during 18-24. But by then, they were busily jumping from clubs/parties to hotel rooms looking for FUN not MARRIAGE.

Not everything is about prayer. God who created you has made a plan for you. But when you change the plan or miss the road, please don't disturb the peace of God. Because, He will be busy planning for your younger sister.
Think about this when you have time.

Health / Healthy Living Starts From The Care Of Teeth by Ifezymos(m): 4:05pm On Mar 27
HEALTHY LIVING STARTS FROM THE CARE OF TEETH

I had a very insightful moment with one of the Dentists at Access Dental Clinic PDDC Abeokuta, in Ogun state at his office today. He talked extensively about the general care of teeth to give room for good oral health and overall well-being.

He made me understand that brushing teeth at least twice a day for two minutes using a fluoride toothpaste is very important. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and hold it at a 45-degree angle towards your gum line. Gently brush in circular motions, covering all tooth surfaces, including the outer, inner, and chewing surfaces.

He said flossing should be done at least once a day to remove plaque and food particles from between your teeth and along the gum line. Take around 18-24 inches of dental floss and wind it around your middle fingers, leaving a comfortable length between them. Slide the floss gently between your teeth, curve it around each tooth in a C shape, and move it up and down to remove debris.

Rinse your mouth with an NAFDAC-approved mouthwash after brushing and flossing. Look for a mouthwash that contains fluoride and antibacterial properties. Swish the mouthwash around your mouth for 30-60 seconds, ensuring it reaches all areas, then spit it out.

He said maintaining a balanced diet is not only important for your overall health but also your dental health. Limit your consumption of sugary and acidic foods as they can contribute to tooth decay and erosion. Opt for a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins to promote healthy teeth and gums.

He also made me know that certain habits can be detrimental to dental health. He said avoid smoking and tobacco use(even though I don't smoke, but I think I need to say it for those that do), as they can lead to tooth discoloration, gum disease, and oral cancer. Limit your intake of beverages like coffee, tea, and dark sodas that can stain teeth. Excessive consumption of alcohol can also negatively impact your oral health.

He said the fact that I came to Access Dental Clinic PDDC Abeokuta today, should not be the end, that there's a need to regularly visit the dentist at least twice a year for professional check-ups and cleanings. Regular dental exams can detect and prevent dental issues at an early stage.

Choose dental care products that are approved by dental professionals. he said such as the ones they have in Access Dental Clinic Pddc Abeokuta,

Replace your toothbrush every three to four months or sooner if the bristles become frayed. Store your toothbrush in an upright position and allow it to air dry between uses to prevent bacterial growth. Do not share toothbrushes with others.

I can go on and on to talk about what he told me, but I think it's okay here for today. Maybe you can also visit https://accessdentalpddc.com Abeokuta to book a free consultation with them while they also help you to check your teeth.
Meanwhile, don't forget that healthy living starts from the care of teeth.

Politics / Re: Be Proactive Or Bow Out, Fadojoe Tells Peter Obi by Amumaigwe: 1:14pm On Mar 27
Jatuski:

A former Presidential Aspirant under Labour Party, Faduri Oluwadare Joseph popularly known as Fadojoe, has called out Peter Obi on what he described as his lackadaisical attitude as he appears so helpless, watching without doing anything as Labour Party is sinking under the crisis that has engulfed the party since the 2023 presidential election; as well as the shocking allegations coming out from different highly placed members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

Through an online Press Conference monitored on Zoom on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 the US based Leader of Rescue Movement for New Nigeria also known as Rescue the Vulnerable Initiative, wondered if Peter Obi who cannot handle the crisis rocking just one political party, can truly handle the ethno-religious multi dimensional critical crisis in a multi ethnic nation of over 200 million people, a nation that has been caged by bandits who now appear more powerful than our Armed Forces.

"Therefore, it is imperative to do this World Press Conference today to call out the stakeholders of Labour Party who have refused to contain the internal crisis that has been rocking our party since after the election. In the midst of so many hardship in our nation, in the midst of insecurity like the one never seen in war zones like Ukraine and Russia combined, the hunger the world has never known and mass migration of the work force of Nigerians out of Nigeria as a result of so many bad economy policies of our varying administrations, especially the present government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. So, one would have thought that Labour Party would stand and represent a true opposition, that the government of APC deserves, instead we have become a house that is divided against itself under the leadership laden with heavy yoke of damning allegations.

The activist stressed that, "this government of APC is destroying our nation everyday. So many wrong policies from subsidy removal, to Naira unification policies - that have all crashed our economy, to insecurity and kidnapping in our nation, as if we don't have clue about security anymore. Our nation is ravaged by kidnappers and they seem to be more powerful than our security apparatus combined.

"A former Head of State once said and I quote, 'If any insurgency lasts more than 24 hours, then insiders have hands in it.' We have become a nation where average Nigerians cannot ply the streets or walk freely at day light not to even talk of at night. We have become a nation where we are afraid to send our kids to school for fear of not being sure if they will return home. We have become a nation where the price of goods in market today is different from what you get tomorrow. We have become a nation where we have leaders who have no clue or care less about the citizens and all they care about is looting, embezzlement and corruption in highest places.

"Our National Assembly is busy padding budgets. Our Parastatals are busy inflating contracts and allocations. Our State Governors are busy getting security votes and money they can't account for. Our Director Generals lavish money abroad for summits. The office of the Chief of Staff is on a rampage of 14 billion naira budget: just for the office of the Chief of Staff to the President. We often take more than we can afford abroad as delegates. Average workers cannot afford three square meal anymore. And many disturbing issues as regards this administration.

"And the Labour Party that supposed to call them out and checkmate this wasteful government and start getting positioned ahead of 2027 is busy destroying itself from within.
One would have thought that after the election, all these 'hoolabaloo' would have been over and we would come together for a common purpose and common interests to rescue our nation. But instead of that, all we see on the pages of newspapers daily is a party in disarray, leadership in a mess, the center no longer holding, many factions: Abure faction today, Alhaji Apapa Lamidi faction tomorrow and many others.

"The first question I asked myself and wants Nigerians to ask themselves is 'where is Mr competent and capable? Where is the man who told the world he is competent to run a country and yet a party under him is in total shambles but he could not handle it? Where is the man that calls himself 'Mr Fix-it' that he can fix the country's problem yet can't fix the cancerous issues in his party?

"Let's be truthful to ourselves: of different allegations against Abure ranging from illegalities, forgery, embezzlement, substituting candidates illegally for himself; up until now Mr Peter Obi has not in anyway publicly speak against such weighty allegations, leveled with striking evidences against the National Chairman of the party that comes with assurance of hope and the promise of handling corruption; even when the whole world can see the lapses of the chairman." He said.

He added that this shows that Mr Peter Obi's incompetence is more pronounced at this stage, that he cannot even reconcile all parties; bring all parties to a round table and broker peace. Yet the same man claimed he can bring peace to a nation of diverse culture, people and tribes.

"If Mr Peter Obi cannot lead a party successfully, how then can he lead Nigeria as a nation successfully? If Mr Peter watches as LP gets destroyed everyday, then one may want to believe that he has failed as a leader and not competent or have the capacity to run a nation of over 250 ethics diversities. I know for sure that his followers with blind interests would argue otherwise.

"Mr Peter Obi himself started this chaos by nominating a corrupt DG in person of Dr Doyin Okupe who had to drop off after been indicted to pay back N400 million stolen money from Nigeria. All P.O did was to thank him for stealing from our nation and put him in the campaign in back seat. Also we heard of many allegations of corruption about members of his campaign cabinet, and all he did was to look away and try to remove himself from all dealings; as if Nigerians are fools.

"At this juncture it is time to say enough is enough. These leaders, if they can't sit and find a common ground and if Mr. Peter Obi cannot broker peace between all these warring parties, he and the other leaders should leave the Party and let us, the younger generation, pick up the pieces and put it together for the betterment of our country and our nation.

"I am glad that finally the NLC which is the parent body of LP has since risen to her responsibility of not allowing Abure and the gang of other factions to destroy the only party Nigerians are looking up to for hope, for recovery and for viable alternative.

"But much more than that I am calling on everyone involved, especially all the Stakeholders, that if they care about this nation and care about Nigerians, not just their personal and selfish interests they should drop their hatchets and sue for peaceful resolution. They should stop all these disturbing issues being paraded in public for over a year now and let us put this house in order.

"Enough is Enough. I call on all well meaning Nigerians with genuine heart to rescue our party so we can rescue this nation. Nigerians need us. Our nation needs us. The founding fathers of this nation must be crying in their grave. This is not the nation they fought for. M.K.O Abiola that fought for democracy must be weeping in his grave that this is not the democracy and the country he died for.

"Enough is enough! Let's bury the hatchet and work together for the purpose of bringing good governance to our nation. This is a nation in my own slogan, 'where we have everything but we lack everything'.

"It is time to call off the fight, stop the factions and start a new party that can take on our responsibility of true opposition party, that will go ahead to rescue power from those destroying Nigeria and to fix our nation on the long run".

APC goons will instigate crisis in LP and turn around to blame their chieftains for not containing their crisis. Obi has seen through your shenenegns and knows the best answer to tools is always a deafening silence.

Navigating Your Purchase with MOD LIGHTING
Choosing the right lighting fixtures from MOD LIGHTING for your space is more than just picking out what looks good. Selecting the perfect fixtures involves a keen decision-making process that not only meets your requirements but also boosts your dwelling's energy conservation. Let’s break the shopping phase down.
Identifying Your Lighting Needs
First off, let's talk about lighting design. Think about where you need the light to go in your home. Indoor spaces like living rooms or kitchens might need a mix of ambient and task lighting, while outdoor areas could benefit from durable, weather-resistant lights.
Ambient lighting: Sets the overall mood of a room.
Task lighting: Focuses on specific areas for activities like reading or cooking.
Different rooms serve different purposes, so consider what you do in each space before deciding on a fixture type. For instance, a study room requires bright task lighting whereas bedrooms may call for softer ambient options to promote relaxation. The fixture over your dining room table may be something that you want to both light and spark conversation.

You know, Nigerians can do anything to ride even in illegality.e g see how a Binance Executive disappeared!
Since the Power Minister came, the whole Ikorodu and more have been in perpetual darkness - they bring lights around 9 am till 3pm.then at Night- none or when they like!
If the Ikeja Disco likes it, they just juggle it between one Transformer to another but has never been more than 9 - hours in totality especially since the Minister talks about ' the Subsidies on Power' ! No improvement of lights but so much talk!
That DISCOS and TCN in Nigeria are gangantum of Corruption if you are not a God Fearing and Disciplined, then you are gone!
Why can't we have 24/7 lights in Nigeria,in 21St -Century,for God's sake? Other Countless Countries in Europe,UK, USA,India, China etc have Stations in the Space, and they used Power, every minutes - that must not fail!
We should all be ashamed beyond Corruption! Our leaders have mislead this Country a great deal!

I thought you don't talk about human, how about talking about the One who was fully Human and Fully God?

Jesus is a MESSENGER of my own God this is what he said with his own mouth:

“I was not SENT to anyone except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 15:24

My God sent Jesus and resurrected him when he begged for help:

During his life on earth, Christ offered up supplications and also petitions, with strong outcries and tears, to the One who was able to save him out of death, and he was favorably heard for his godly fear. Hebrews 5:7

So Jesus is not my own God but a messenger of my God! smiley

Benue: Gov Alia Facing Stiff Resistance In Quest To Break Chains Of Poverty, Underdevelopment

By Comrade Daniel Onjeh

The entrance of His Excellency Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia into the 2023 governorship race in Benue State was received with much euphoria across the state. It was a soothing balm that rekindled much hope that once again, governance of the state would be centred on the people; and a positive slope in the developmental trajectory, a phenomenon which has long been elusive, would be attained.

All who were on the ground in any part of Benue State on the eve of the last general elections will agree that the victory of Fr. Alia at the gubernatorial poll was as sure as sunrise.

Hence, it came as no surprise to all that Fr. Alia emerged as the 6th democratically-elected governor of Benue State with a landslide victory, and his popularity across the state further influenced the chances of other candidates of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the elections.

However, if the eras of Chief Aper Aku and Fr. Moses Adasu represent the golden era of Benue’s development, then the period from May 29th 1999 to May 29th 2023 could be regarded as the dark ages of the state’s development. The period, which recorded the highest statutory allocations to the state relative to the golden eras, ironically recorded minimal to negligible contributions to the infrastructural development of the state. It was the period in which the resources meant for the overall development of the state were mostly looted, misappropriated or distributed with impunity amongst political associates, cronies and so-called stakeholders.

Although the Dark Ages produced many political millionaires across Benue State, it left the majority of the citizens impoverished, while infrastructural development took the back stage. The 24 years of Benue Governance from May 29th 1999 to May 29th 2023 put together, does not measure up to the under two years tenure of Fr. Moses Adasu, talk more of the four years of Chief Aper Aku.

Benue State from 1999 to 2007 probably started on a good momentum, but it was unfortunately not sustained. The era may be ascribed some modicum of credit for not owing state workers’ salaries and some scanty infrastructural projects including building some new general hospitals.

The greatest legacies of that 8-year rule were the establishment of the College of Health Sciences Complex of the Benue State University (BSU), and the construction of a standard Teaching Hospital Complex for the BSU College of Health Sciences. Efforts by the administration to revitalize the Benue Brewery Limited didn’t yield much result, same as his Greater Makurdi Water Works Project. Not much credit can be given to the administration either in terms of industrialization and physical infrastructure.

But if Benue State witnessed stunted development under that 8-year rule, then the subsequent eras certainly plunged the state precariously into the abyss of darkness. For the eras between 2007 to 2015 and 2015 to 2023, there is nothing of note to write home about in terms of Benue development. On a developmental curve, these eras would at best fluctuate between stagnation and retardation.

The era between 2007 to 2015 was tainted with corruption and profligacy. For all the foreign trips that were embarked upon with taxpayers’ monies; from Thailand to Malaysia and Singapore, they could not attract a single investor to the state all through the years of misrule. It was in that era that state workers and teachers were owed salaries for several months, leading them to down tools sometimes for several months. It was also the inglorious era of deductions from workers’ salaries by the state government. Meanwhile, the next administration spent most of the eight years lamenting the onslaught on the state by alleged Fulani herdsmen. Despite the two tranches of Paris Club Refunds made to the state, along with other bailouts by the Federal Government, the government still owed state workers several months’ salary arrears.

It is against this backdrop that Rev. Fr. Alia enters the centre stage of Benue governance, as the bearer of light and hope to the people. Coming from a purely apolitical background, with over 32 years in the dedicated service of God in the priesthood, Fr. Alia is not the conventional politician who comes to power with huge baggage, such as a vast empire of political dependents and an infinite hierarchy of political godfathers. Terms such as ‘cronyism’ and ‘godfatherism’ are yet to take firm roots in his leadership lexicon, so the centrepiece of his attention is the Benue people – the teeming masses who have long been deprived of their rights to enjoy the dividends of democracy by some previous administrations in the state.

And the reverend gentlemen, Fr. Alia, has left no one in doubt about his vision, mission and commitment to bringing Benue out of the woods, and back to the pedestal of national reckoning in terms of infrastructural and human capital development. He hit the ground running with his policy document christened “Strategic Development Plan for a Greater Benue”, which is built on seven cardinal pillars – Security; Agriculture and Rural Development; Commerce and Industry; Human Capital and Social Development; Infrastructure and Environment; ICT and Political and Economic Governance, with the acronym “SACHIIP”. Although Fr. Alia’s interventions will affect every sector of the Benue State economy, he elected to prioritize these seven sectors given their relative importance and positive influence on other sectors.

It is instructive to note that within the last ten months of Fr. Alia’s administration, Makurdi, the state capital, has worn a new look, in line with the urban renewal policy of the administration to build 21st-century cities and smart towns across Benue State. Fr. Alia has done the groundbreaking of the first overhead bridge in Makurdi and already construction work has commenced in earnest. He has also done several projects including the construction of 16 new roads to ease movement within the capital. There are also over 100 km of roads currently under construction in various local government areas, to facilitate the evacuation of farm produce from production to marketing and consumption points. The Greater Makurdi Water Works Project, which has since been abandoned, has received prompt attention from the Fr. Alia administration, in line with his vision to complete all ongoing government water projects in the state and to provide water to five rural communities in each local government area per year.

The state secretariat built by Chief Aper Aku in the early 1980s, underwent complete renovation for the first time under the Alia Administration, as an added incentive to the state civil service.

The Benue State Teaching Hospital has also been reconstructed and revamped, along with the Government House and the State House of Assembly. Contracts have equally been awarded for the renovation and provision of amenities at the secretariats of the 23 local governments in the state. These and many more are expected to provide the basic framework for the rapid industrialization and advancement of the state.
Of immense importance to note is the fact that the Fr. Alia administration not only cleared the backlog of salaries, pensions and gratuities owed state workers from the previous administration, but it also ensured the prompt and regular payment of state workers, and usually before the end of the month. This was what the previous administrations of Suswam and Ortom made us believe was rocket science or an impossible feat, given the statutory allocations and IGR accruing to the state.

Fr. Alia is acclaimed for his prudent management of financial and human resources. He has an ambitious plan to encourage public-private partnership (PPP) in reviving some of our moribund industries in the state and also to establish new ones to support his quest for massive industrialization. He intends to provide industrial parks in each senatorial district, furnished with the necessary facilities. Fr. Alia also hopes to actualize the dredging of the River Benue to facilitate commercial activities, as well as the establishment of a river port in Makurdi to pave the way for ship operations in Benue. Soon, an independent waste-to-energy (WtE) facility or hydropower generation and distribution plant will be constructed in Benue State, to ensure cleaner and greener cities while boosting the administration’s quest to provide electricity to at least five (5) rural communities in each local government area per year.

Other programs and projects the Alia administration has embarked on include the ongoing construction of an overhead bridge in Gboko, the renovation of Government House lodges, the provision of subsidised fertiliser and inputs to all farmers, and the payment of ₦15,000 to NYSC members, ₦100,000 to NYSC doctors, and the payment of monthly allowances to medical students of Benue origin nationwide.

Others include the ongoing water repair works in Oturkpo and other cities, the rebuilding of the House of Assembly quarters, and Alia Cares: payment of stipends to the most vulnerable people across the state. The Alia administration also succeeded in fully automating the key activities of the state’s MDAs, the conduct of successful staff audit and verification exercise which resulted in significant savings in personnel cost, the revamping of the Benue Printing Company and others, and the introduction of Mineral Resources Council and Enforcement Team.

The administration has also embarked on the payment of Taraku Mills’ outstanding staff liabilities, work on Nigeria’s largest tailoring and garment factory in partnership with the Presidency, and the provision of 100 new buses for Benue Links and providing transportation subsidies to citizens.

It also increased the salaries of doctors and medical workers and paid their associated training fees. Governor Alia has since commenced the recruitment of hundreds of medical and support staff, and the repair/procurement of needed equipment for the state’s teaching hospital. Infrastructural work is ongoing work in all the 23 LGAs in the state, even as the government pays the WAEC and NECO fees of all the students in government schools.

To achieve all of these laudable plans, programs, and projects, the state’s resources must be put to optimum use for the benefit of the people. Fr. Alia has therefore made a bold statement that the era of corruption, profligacy, and the brazen sharing of the state’s resources amongst stakeholders, party bigwigs and other cronies in Benue State at the detriment of the teeming masses, is over. Within a very short time, the Alia administration has been able to restore public trust and confidence in government by demonstrating impeccable character, integrity, moral courage and the judicious utilization of the state’s resources using the bottom-top approach to governance.

Unfortunately, while the generality of Benue citizens are immensely pleased with the governor’s efforts, his strict policies of putting the Benue people first, and not sharing state resources flagrantly amongst so-called stakeholders and cronies, and his commitment to justice, fairness and equity in the Benue polity, have ruffled not just a few feathers in the state, especially in his party, the APC. This scenario has put the reverend gentleman on a warpath with all those who are averse to change – the stakeholders and political entrepreneurs, who probably regarded Benue State as their cash cow; their oil well. They have therefore obviously constituted themselves into cartels at the different levels, within the state and Abuja, with the intent to constantly disparage, distract and frustrate the Alia administration from serving the Benue people.

I can state that since the start of the fourth republic, no state administration has been more encumbered with political crises at inception than the Fr. Alia administration. He is stridently attacked at the slightest turn, sadly by his party structures and stakeholders; and because his detractors know that they have no legal, moral or ethical ground upon which to criticize the governor, they have since resorted to barefaced fallacies, blackmail, intimidation, propaganda and witch-hunt.

Whenever the governor appoints competent and credible persons to positions of leadership to support his policy drive, they come hard on him and accuse him of sideling the party structure in the running of the state. Meanwhile, what they want is for the governor to allow them to nominate their cronies to such positions, so they can sustain the host-clientele concept in political governance and ensure that they receive regular kickbacks from the state’s budgetary allocations.

Contrary to their accusations that the governor is not carrying the party along in appointments, Fr. Alia has been very fair to the party. The current Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of the State, His Lordship Fidelis Mnyim, was the party’s Legal Adviser. The former Secretary of the party, Hon. Paul Biam, is the current Chief of Staff to the Governor. Also, a former Legal Adviser of the party, Barr. Omale Omale is currently the State Commissioner for Transportation and Power. The current SSA to the Governor on Beautification was the party’s women leader. Before the constitution of the Caretaker Committees for the 23 local governments in Benue State, the governor accorded the party the preferential treatment of nominating three names for each of the various leadership positions in each local government. What else does the party expect of him?

At Abuja, Alia’s detractors agglomerated themselves into what they call the National Assembly Benue State Caucus, and their major achievement since they got into the federal parliament has been to hurl invectives at Fr. Alia. For a flimsy reason as the governor not being disposed to pick up their calls at all times, they take to the media space to disparage him. But despite their endless barrage of negative criticisms and dastardly attacks, Fr. Alia has remained firm, resolute and focused on his mandate. In just ten months of governance, he has surpassed the 24-year achievements of his three immediate predecessors in the state.

Indeed, moving Benue State forward in the right direction is an uphill task, but that is what Fr. Alia has braced up and not the usual for wobble in the web of blame game. To achieve positive development in the state, the governor must exhibit the requisite political will, resolve and determination, all of which he has sufficiently demonstrated. Some have argued that it is the efforts of his party bigwigs and the stakeholders that brought Fr. Alia to power, hence he must carry them along in all his decisions and actions in office. But he understands that playing along that line of sentiment in the past has not delivered dividends of democracy to the people.

In any case, Fr. Alia is a man of truth, justice and fairness, so he is poised to eventually ensure that every honest stakeholder gets what is due to him or her along the way. But for now, his primary consideration is the general populace, especially the teeming masses of the state that were deprived and neglected for long.

However, of growing concern to me is the observation that some of the stakeholders trying to distract Fr. Alia are further doing so because they know that he is determined to achieve unprecedented strides in the development of the state. Some of them have held the position of state governor before, and could not deliver anything tangible to the people. So they are afraid that at the pace which Fr. Alia is going, he may not only surpass the sterling records of Aper Aku and Fr. Adasu but will eclipse or dwarf their records of performance, thereby exposing their crass ineptitude of the times past.

Fr. Alia understands that leadership is a sacred responsibility with multiple dimensions, and he wants to appear before God and all men with a clear conscience, knowing that he did not take for granted the immense trust and confidence reposed in him by God and the Benue people. And by the grace of the Almighty, he shall prevail over his enemies and detractors, and successfully raise the bar of governance in Benue State.

"If a man have two wives..." Deuteronomy 21:15

The passage of Deuteronomy 21:15-17 is a specific instruction in the Law Itself to any man with "two wives". If polygamy was a sin, then it would not be possible for a "man to have two wives" in the Law.

"If a man has two wives, one beloved and the other unloved, and both bear him sons, but the unloved wife has the firstborn son, 16when that man assigns his inheritance to his sons he must not appoint the son of the beloved wife as the firstborn over the son of the unloved wife. Instead, he must acknowledge the firstborn, the son of his unloved wife, by giving him a double portion of all that he has. For that son is the first fruits of his father’s strength; the right of the firstborn belongs to him" Deuteronomy 21:15-17.

"ONE FLESH"
"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Genesis 2:24, referenced in Matthew 19:5,6, Mark 10:8, 1 Corinthians 6:16, Ephesians 5:31

A man is "one flesh" with EACH woman with whom he copulates, whether in marriage (wife) or in fornication (harlot). When a married man, who is therefore already "one flesh" with his wife, copulates with another woman, that does not then negate his being "one flesh" with the wife. This is evident by the fact that 1 Corinthians 6:16 reveals that a man can be "one flesh" even with an harlot. As even a married man, therefore, can become "one flesh" with an harlot, that proves that a married man can indeed be "one flesh" with more than one woman, without negating his being "one flesh" with his wife. As that is so even with a married man with an harlot, it is thus just as equally true regarding a man being "one flesh" with more than one wife. For further proof, the very next verse provides the context of the plural-to-one aspect, i.e., 1 Corinthians 6:17: "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." As EACH Christian is joined as "one spirit" with the Lord, that then demonstrates the context of the plural-to-one aspect. Namely, as EACH Christian is joined as "one spirit" with the Lord, so too may EACH woman be joined as "one flesh" with one man. Lastly, when the Lord Jesus, in Matthew 19:5,6 and Mark 10:8, was re-quoting that original "one flesh" verse of Genesis 2:24, He was only dealing with the issue of divorce, saying, "What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." (Matthew 19:6c-d.) That was opposing divorce of God-joined marriages, of what God Himself had joined together as "one flesh".

For context, it is exegetically important to note that the "one flesh" verse itself of Genesis 2:24, which the Lord Jesus was re-quoting, was written by Moses. And Moses married (was "one flesh" with) two wives: Zipporah (Exodus 2:16-21 and 18:1-6) and the Ethiopian woman (Numbers 12:1). The term, "one flesh", could not otherwise allegedly mean that a man could not be "one flesh" with more than one woman because three things did indeed happen. 1) Moses did marry two wives. 2) Moses did author such other verses as Exodus 21:10 and Deuteronomy 21:15. 3) Jesus Christ did not speak against Moses' being "one flesh" with two wives. Hence, the Scriptures reveal that Jesus and Moses knew what "one flesh" meant when Moses authored Genesis 2:24: a man may be "one flesh" with more than one woman.

When we're talking electricity 24hrs, you must be referring to solar systems. True, they exist in Nigeria but VERY FEW have them. There's some people on this forum involved in that business in Nigeria, I bet if they cared to make a comment here they would tell you many of their customers are diasporans. In fact anyone involved in anything to do with building construction and such trades in Nigeria will likely confirm that fact.

Are you saying I don't know the difference between solar and regular electricity

I said we enjoy almost 24 hours in this part of the country. And we have many such areas nationwide.
I switch off my freezer from time to time to be able to remove stuffs.
I don't have a generator!!!

The richest Nigerians are NOT based in Nigeria. I've done a long explanation on how I know. It's simple to figure out. Just one outstanding example is TY Danjuma. He's one of a handful of dollar billionaires in Nigeria. He doesn't live in Nigeria, neither does his daughter who is likely to inherit his businesses.

The day I figured out the thing rich people are doing in Nigeria, I was very pleased. All you have to know is that the UK & Europe is 6 hours flight and USA is 12 hours. These rich people show up for public events and go to their village once in a while and it gives the impression they're in Nigeria. When I was little, I remember you would go by some of these mega mansions, when you talk to the gate man they would always say "Ah, Oga travelled". It was only when I got to be an adult that it dawned on me that Oga travelled ABROAD and LIVES abroad to make money. In an earlier discussion I named such people from my own hometown.

Are you the one who made Danjuma a billionaire

IBB, Obasanjo, Abdul Salam, Gowon etc are based abroad

So Dangote, Adenuga, Rabiu, Otedola, Alakija, Coscharis, Ibeto and co are based abroad

Jim Ovia, Elumelu, Aig, and our bank CEOs are based abroad

Adeboye, Oyedepo, Oyakhilome, Kumuyi etc etc are based abroad

Only our artistes especially the musicians are doing what you described.

The richest Nigerians are STILL BASED in Nigeria

Oh, you must always remember how poor your Federal Government is, their revenue is $15 billion per year. The Federal budget of Nigeria has NEVER been more than $40 billion since the return to democracy. Not only that, the TOTAL REVENUES of ALL STATES plus Federal Government isn't up to $30 billion. That's the ENTIRE FEDERATION revenue, it's about equal to remittances from abroad.

Sorry I had to burst your bubble. grin

Bottom line - You're IGNORANT. In this you're not alone. My advice to you if you care, is go and get informed. Internet will help you.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

We don't spend dollars in Nigeria.
A country is considered as rich or poor based on GDP. Diaspora remittances doesn't come anywhere near and has never been of help to our economy as a whole.

2000 of that was lost to transmission deficits which is why we have the Siemens project to improve transmission.

And even then 7000 or 6100 is not enough, we need 33000 before we can talk of 24 hours light. The current phase of the Siemens project would enable the sector transmit up to 25000 mw

@Donaldoni....Well if Nigerians are so prosperous, how come so many are eager to migrate to WesternEurope & North America?

As for Nigerians being rich, it only applies to a few. Very, very few. The UN or World Bank didn't wake up and crown Nigeria the Poverty Capital of the World. They used data.

In your rich Nigeria only 7% of Lagosians have indoor running water AND flush toilets, not to talk of the rest of Nigeria.

How many Nigerians have access to 24hr electricity?

So it takes a currency crisis to prove how rich Nigerians are? How stupid is that? Those sacks of naira Nigerians were bringing out lost over HALF their value in less than 1 year.

Then you made the craziest comment -

This shows you have an exaggerated view of your country and most Nigerians are just like you. No wonder you think Nigerians are rich.

If you're interested in the Nigerian economy and how it works, you should go familiarize yourself with simple data. That's what the White Man invented the internet for.

BudgIT is likely the most reputable recorder of Government finances in Nigeria. Here's your Federal revenue and spending for 2023.

https://budgit.org/post_infographics/2023-approved-budget/

Total Revenue is ₦10.5 Trillion Using a very generous rate of ₦700/1$, it translates to a total gross Federal Government revenue of $15 billion.

$15 billion is much less than diaspora remittances of $26 billion. Which is why your CBN Governor said remittances are vital for the Nigerian economy. This is one of the reasons migration is so popular, these figures give a real basis for what people feel, why they DO what they do even if they don't know.

I've come across proud Nigerian attitudes like yours so many times. Like the guy who was claiming that Shell made $200 billion profit in Nigeria. I had a long argument here, I simply went on Shell website and pulled the numbers.

You all need to go and get enlightened. Very different from educated. No wonder Nigeria is the Poverty Capital of the World.

Good Luck to Nigerians

I never said Nigerians are rich. I am only saying Nigerians abroad are by no means better off in the contexts of their environment.

The dollars you send home that becomes big money here cannot take you anywhere over there.

Naira is still very valuable despite the devaluation. And when the refineries resume, things will definitely improve significantly.

I have access to almost 24 hours electricity. A sizeable number do.

Indoor running water and all that are no biggie.

World bank stats and the likes HAVE NEVER been accurate. They NEVER consider all the factors.

Diaspora remittances are have NEVER helped our economy!!
Family / Re: US Based Nurse Gifts Her Husband Who Brought Her To America A New Mercedes Benz by Donaldoni: 4:00pm On Mar 24
IbeOkehie:

That Nigerians spend that amount of money abroad is proof that Nigeria doesn't have basic necessities of middle class life. Poor quality in every sector - education, healthcare, security, energy availability and on and on. You have to go abroad to buy it.

Not necessarily so.

Some of our public and private universities are far better than the mushrooms schools most of our people pay through their noses to attend abroad.

Nobody reckons with those certificates back home in Nigeria. And our people end up doing school cert jobs over there after graduation too.

I don't have a generator at home. That's because I have near 24 hours electricity.

Security is improving and considering the very few security personnel we have, it's a miracle everywhere is this calm. If we compare the stats, we are still doing better.

Politicians prefer to go abroad for healthcare because they are afraid of being vulnerable in our own hospitals.

Our healthcare is fairly okay.

I'm not one of those who denigrate Nigerians at home. I have friends in Nigeria who earn $1K per day. I hope we're all educated here, it about PROBABILITY for everyone, not cherry picked outliers. Nigeria is the official Poverty Capital of the World.

Wrong!

A huge number of Nigerians are earning dollars.

Drivers and security men here are landlords and have their own cars. You will be shocked. Not to talk about the artisans.

During the cash scarcity crisis was when I knew Nigerians had money. See fight in the banking halls and at the ATMs. Was it your money they fighting to access?

I personally saw so-called 'poor' people carrying sacks of old Naira notes to the CBN when Emefiele declared it non-legal tender,

The diaspora remits more money than your entire Federal Government of Nigeria gets in revenue. Think about that. That's a national government with a revenue base of over 150 million people.

How can FG annual revenue be USD26billion for chrissake Maybe Lagos state.

Do the comparison. How many Nigerians earn $1300 per year? That's about ₦200K per month. Hmmm? Data from PWC and other sources are clear...only 0.4% of Nigerians earn over ₦200K per month . That's what diaporans send home as gift to their relatives. grin

Anyway your Central Bank Governor has already admitted that diaspora remittances are a major pillar of the Nigerian economy. Go and argue with him.

NGN200k in Nigeria is chicken change. Many Nigerians earn far more than NGN200k per month. NGN200k may only be a big deal to SOME private school teachers/drivers/gatemen.
Even those earning less in salaries do other runs to make more money.
Nigerians NEVER depend on salary alone. NEVER!!!

Diaspora remittances are NO pillar of the Nigerian economy and has NEVER helped our Naira.
Most of the remittances are for the senders' personal projects back home and not necessarily gifts.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

Goodluck to us all.
Politics / Those Who Want Naira To Be N400 To Dollar Are Living In Dream World – Moghalu by Great100000: 3:38pm On Mar 24
A former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Kingsley Moghalu, has said that those who want the Naira to be N400 to the Dollar are living in a dream world.

According to him, the exchange rate should reflect its market value in reality.

Moghalu claimed that Godwin Emefiele’s era at the Central Bank created artificiality that it sought to maintain to please economic illiterates in political power at the time.

Moghalu, who made this known in a post on his X handle on Sunday, insisted that artificiality created room for massive arbitrage by speculators which bled the economy.

He suggested that the sooner the country focused on the creation of value-added manufacturing export economy that earned forex beyond oil in real and significant terms, the better.

He said: “Those who want the Naira to be N400 to the $ are living in a dream world. Even discounting for the negative impact of speculative attacks on the value of the Naira, the exchange rate will (and should) reflect its market value in reality, not the artificiality that the Emefiele era central bank sought to maintain to please economic illiterates in political power at the time.

“That artificiality created room for massive arbitrage by speculators which bled the economy. Nigeria does not (yet) have a productive export economy. That’s the heart of the matter.

“And we do not have $100 billion in foreign reserves. So on what basis would the Naira forex rate return to some fantasy land soon? It will also take time to regain or achieve full investor confidence such as we had when we were there (and the rate was N150-165 to the $.

“The sooner we focus on a painstaking creation of value-added manufacturing export economy that earns forex beyond oil in real and significant terms, the better. Key to this is the electricity conundrum in which we are at less than 4,000 megawatts of generation for a population of 200 million for decades now.

“Take power to even 20K megawatts (let’s not talk of 50K for South Africa’s 60 million population or Brazil’s 181K megawatts for a population only slightly larger than Nigeria) and you will see what the Nigerian entrepreneurial spirit is capable of.”

Politics / Re: Buhari Lacked Political Will, Tinubu Should Be Commended For Naming Terror Finan by paramakina202: 10:41am On Mar 24
Good01:
By Ignatius Igwe

More reactions keep trailing the list of alleged terrorism financiers released by the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) as well as the tragic murder of 17 military personnel in Delta State on March 14, 2024. While the military says investigations are ongoing, a former Commander of Operation Safe Haven in Plateau State, Major General Henry Ayoola (retd), described it as an assault on the Nigerian state. He was a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme during the week.

Excerpts:

Give us a sense of what happened in Okuama community and within the security circle. There are a lot of talk about the implications, what could have led to the attack and the dynamics of this. For someone like you who has led troops in similar terrain, what came to your mind when you heard the story?

Thank you very much. I will start by commiserating with the families of these gallant officers and soldiers who were gruesomely murdered in a very unusual way in a tragedy. It’s anathema. It’s a terrible thing that shouldn’t have happened at all. I just joined all members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and including those of us who are outside the service to commiserate with the families of the deceased personnel. We pray and trust that God will comfort the bereaved ones and that this kind of thing should never happen to us as a nation again.

I also like to correct the numbers that are being bandied around. The actual number is 17 in total – the commanding officer who is a lieutenant colonel, two majors, one captain and 13 soldiers, making 17. The issue of human lives cannot be something we will be approximating so we need to be correct about it; it is 17 precious lives.

What comes readily to my mind is: it is a sad load for me, for us, for our country to be in this state. I mean, as somebody who has seen the nation and been around the military sector for over 50 years, I asked myself: How did we get here? You know, how did we get here as a nation? When I was commanding Operation Safe Haven, we have had near such disasters before because what has happened over time is that our nation has lost touch with values, with ethics, with character. What we are seeing is a harvest of long-time failure of parental responsibilities, societal responsibility, of nurturing and upbringing. It’s a case that has gone through a cycle where you had parents who perhaps were not properly brought up and now become parents themselves. It’s sure to happen that way because the law of sowing and reaping applies in all situations, nobody beats it. What is done more greatly in one generation will be done in excess in the next. That’s how it works and that’s what we’re seeing. It’s a sorry state for us to be but I think it’s a clarion call for all of us to wake up and begin to address the real issues.

We’ve done a lot of palliatives, dodging the issues and tolerating things that should have been decisively dealt with over the years. It’s not just something that is happening. What we’ve seen is a habit of several years of negligence, several years of padding things that should have been frontally dealt with. And that’s what we’re seeing now, where you have a situation that the level of civil disobedience has escalated to news not even being deterred by the fact that these are uniformed men and should be respected. It’s an assault on the state, it’s an assault on our collective psyche. It’s something that should outrage everyone of us and nobody should make any attempt to play down on it at all. It’s a wakeup call, we should all wake up and smell the coffee and say: ‘This cycle should end here.’ This cycle of bloodletting, this vicious circle of lawlessness at its peak should come to an end here and everybody should come into this fight.

It is so sad, the brazen attack and the killing of men in uniform. The situation, according to those who know, says it’s a matter of a land dispute and you wonder the role of the military in this kind of situation. Has this been the procedure for the military to be called into this kind of civil engagement or what do you think could have been? Is it a normal procedure for the officers to be involved in this kind of situation at night? What could have gone wrong with this?

Let’s look at it realistically, the truth of it is that our nation is not in the normal state. I mean, the fact that virtually every state in the country today has one military operation or the other tells you that we are not in a normal state. If not, then, why do we have operation this, operation that in all the states? It means we have crossed that threshold of what the normal civil enforcement agencies can handle. That’s what it means. We have been the same people putting so much pressure on the Armed Forces and say, even for non-kinetic measures, the soft-power options and all of that.

Of course, the commanding officer would have thought to nip an obviously boiling issue before it escalates. There can be a thousand and one argument as to whether there was a tactical error or not. It doesn’t matter if a mistake was made. That a set of youths somewhere will have the audacity and the recklessness not to even spare people in uniform who have laid down their lives for the benefit of the rest of us? That level of temerity should not be tolerated. That’s my take on it.

One can only imagine if this is not properly managed, a kind of aggression and a kind of reaction that could have come naturally if it’s not well–managed from the military.

When I was on Operation Safe Haven, we held peace palace almost every week because it was clear that this was not just purely a security challenge. And so there was a need to engage different groups of people, different age groups, different ethnic groups, and different religious groups, all in an attempt to find a solution. In Yoruba, there is a proverb that when something is lost, you search for it anyhow. When you are trying to find a solution to very abnormal situations, you cross several lines, you bend backwards, you lower yourself to even, more or less becoming a preacher even though you are in uniform, you do everything because you want a solution. And if the solution is going to come by the softpower method, by the peace approach, why not? we have been too long in this state as a nation. If you imagine the amount of money that have been spent for the various operations that have been on in the country for over 20 years, those kinds of money will have been used to develop our infrastructure. So the military officers are aware of these things. They are not happy being out there doing what ordinarily should have been police work, nobody is happy with that. That’s the reality on the ground.

Let me take you to the terrorism financiers’ list that was released by the authorities which listed about 15 persons and firms alleged to be involved in terror financing and are being listed for sanctions. What do you make of this?

Nigeria has been battling to kill terrorism for over 20 years now from the northeast region. And now we’re seeing some active roles of these terror gangs within the northwest region of the country in the name of banditry.

Now, one of those persons is facing a trial over alleged link to the train attack in Kaduna. Tukur Mamu in this particular situation. What comes to mind when you heard that the Buhari government had said it would release the list of terror financiers but for eight years that never happened.

I think this is one place that we should give a pat on the back to the current government (the Bola Tinubu administration). I was on the edge severally during the last regime. There was lack of national will to deal with this situation at the time. It is good to see a government that is showing a stronger will to deal with these situations. I have said it again and again, that what we have is a political strategic problem masquerading as security challenges. I’ve said that 1001 times. In my analysis of insurgency and terrorism, I’ve talked about eight essays and indeed, one of the essays is what is coming out now – sponsors – because out of the eight essays, all the approaches we have applied in trying to solve the insurgency and terrorism in the country are just about two components of those eight. So adding this third one to it will go a long way because it’s like we’ve been dodging the issue. It’s like we’ve been dodging naming the enemy, naming the adversaries behind this problem. Are we saying that the gates of hell were open suddenly and Nigeria is just having these all-around security challenges coming? Is it that aliens were sent from some abyss to come and attack Nigeria all at the same time?

Religion / Has The Gospel Been Preached To All Nations? by Lovewellin10: 5:58am On Mar 24
When we talk about the gospel, we are referring to the "good news" of Jesus Christ. It is essential to ask whether the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been preached to all nations. This question is important for every individual who identifies as a Christian, as it concerns the salvation of people from all walks of life.
Matthew 24:14, Jesus states that "this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations."
We will explore the topic of whether the Gospel has been preached to all nations. Read all here: https://faithfulhome.com.ng/has-the-gospel-been-preached-to-all-nations/

Religion / Re: Rhapsody Of Realities Daily Devotional 2024 by Skyfornia(m): 6:58am On Mar 22
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

FRIDAY 22ND MARCH 2024. Pastor Chris

THEME: FROM JERUSALEM TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem (Luke 24:46-47).

‭‭There are proponents of a false teaching that Christianity is a Jewish religion, but the words of the Lord Jesus in the opening text dispel that notion. He said the Gospel “…should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” The Gospel is for all. Christianity is for all; it only started in Jerusalem. So, don’t limit the Gospel; preach it to everyone, everywhere, and in all nations! The Bible says in Mark 13:10, "And the gospel must first be published among all nations."

In Matthew 24:14 NIV, Jesus said, “...this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Then in Matthew 28:19, He instructed, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

In fact, before His glorious ascension to heaven, He told His disciples, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8 ). So, the disciples began from Jerusalem, spread the Gospel to Judea and Samaria, and then moved to the ends of the earth.

Thus, it was from Jerusalem to the very bounds of the earth. This shows that the Gospel is for everybody; it’ll produce results in the life of anyone who hears and believes it everywhere and anywhere in this world. Don’t limit the Gospel to your locality; tell everyone about Jesus.

Yes, talk to your spouse, parents, teachers, students, neighbours, colleagues or co-workers about Jesus. Preach the Gospel to them. For those in the hinterlands and seemingly forgotten places of the earth who may not even understand your language, send them Rhapsody of Realities.

Thanks be unto God; Rhapsody of Realities is available in every known language on earth. So, it’s a tool for global evangelization. It’s a love note from God with which you can preach the Gospel everywhere and to everyone. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the universal reach of the Gospel as it’s what brings salvation to all, with no one left out. I’m an ambassador of Christ in the Gospel. Through me, the Gospel reaches many today whom you’ve ordained for salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
Romans 16:25-27
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: 27 To God only wise, [be] glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Matthew 24:14 AMPC
And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.

Luke 24:46-47 NIV
He told them, "This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and 47 repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Believer's Lifestyle (5)

A Life of Selflessness

1 Corinthians 10:24 states: "No one should seek their own good, but the good of others." (1 Peter 3:8, etc.)

Even the scripture says the entire law is fulfilled in loving your neighbors as yourself.

The lack of preoccupation with one's own interests, advancement, desires, etc., and attentiveness to those of others.

A believer's lifestyle is according to this pattern. I can talk and talk about the importance of being generous, asking about people, etc., but that's not what I'm here to do. Though it's important to understand that life does not just revolve around you.

Quite painful that we have a generation of believers for whom all that matters is that IT'S NOT A SIN.

That you don't care what they wear, whether exposed or not, too tight or not, as long as it's not a sin, I'm good to go.

Do not care if someone is affected by the choice of your clothes, do not care if someone is affected by the character you display.

I can behave the way I like; I don't care what men think. Hmm.

I'm reminding you that the life you received is a selfless one; you should care. The balance is that you don't live to please men. That is the balance. Your life is not directed to please just men.

But still, understand that the life you've received is a life of selflessness. It's not all about you.

The life you've received is a life of intercession!

YOU HAVE WHAT YOU SAY - Part 36

2Corinthians 4:18 (KJV) "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.".

36. You say what you see and you see what you say. You see what you say. If you see the word of God you will say faith words. If you see things according to the word of God, you will say, speak or talk according to the word of God. If all you see are the circumstances and problems you will speak doubts, fear and unbelief. The eyes of faith is the eye that sees only what the word says. The eyes of faith is blind to the world and all that can be seen physically or felt.

The eyes of unbelief is blind to the word of God. The bible says 2Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV) "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.". What you hear also determines what you say and see.

Example is the temptation and fall of Adam in Genesis 3:1-6 (KJV) "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.". Thanks. Grace be with you. Ref. 2Corinthians 4:16-18; Hebrews 11:1-31; 1John 4:18; 2Timothy 1:7;

f you need healing the bible says in Matthew 8:17 that Jesus Himself took all our sicknesses and diseases. Therefore you can receive your healing now by faith in the name of Jesus. Just lay your hand on the affected area of your body and say this prayer. Father God, in the name of Jesus I believe that Jesus died for my healing. I believe He took all my sickness and diseases on the cross. If He took them, then I cannot have them. Therefore I resist and I reject every sickness in my body and I confess Jesus today as my healer and I receive my healing now. Thank you Jesus that I am healed. 1Peter 2:24; Ps 107:20.
Now begin to do what you couldn't do before because of the sickness. You are healed in Jesus name.

Heaven is real, Hell is real. Jesus is coming very soon. Judgement Day is coming. But you can become a born again child of God today. The bible says If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shalt be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10; John 1:12.

Say this prayer: Father God, have mercy on me. I come to you today in the name of Jesus. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died for me. I believe that you raised Him from the dead for my salvation. I accept Jesus in my heart today and I confess Him today as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you Father that today I am saved In Jesus name.

If you prayed the prayer of Salvation, pls go to a nearby bible believing Church in your area, so you can grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus. Grace be with you.

Pets / BENDOG Hits Millions In TV In 24 Hrs: What's Fueling The FOMO? by Muhaammaadd01: 8:00pm On Mar 21
As a fervent observer and participant in the ever-evolving cryptosphere, I've stumbled upon a gem that's been creating waves – BENDOG. It's a story, a phenomenon, fueled by the spirit of Ben The Dog, a figure who's provided unparalleled courage and inspiration right from Solana's infancy stages for those who can still remember... 😅

What makes BENDOG stand out in the crowded marketplace is its compelling blend of Solana's technological prowess with the infectious charm of meme culture. This synergy is further amplified by Ben The Dog's connection to one of Solana's co-founders, bestowing upon BENDOG an aura of celebrity that's hard to ignore.

But what's truly remarkable is the tangible evidence of its growing popularity. With daily trading volumes hitting millions and over 5,000 transactions in a mere 24 hours, it's clear that the enthusiasm around BENDOG is not just talk. This widespread distribution and a notable price rebound paint a promising picture for its future.

The project's high social media engagement, driven by an English-speaking community ripe with FOMO, only add to the allure. With the listing on Bitget, I'm eagerly watching, ready to witness the next chapter in BENDOG's journey.
