We just dey wonder how every recruitment thread you dey get source..Your matter don cast for army thread na here u come dey use us catch cruise...

Believe this guy at your own peril grin

LOL..
The thing is that we don't know who have the real source, we have gotten 2 already on this NCDMB thread, Newcastle and one other guy like that.

From the time of dpr and NNPC
People will surely come and give source and most times the source does not come to existence, but they are always legit.

For now we don't know if he is legit or not, but instead of talking down on him or discrediting peoples effort since we can't verify, it is best to look and ignore.

Good day. Please do you know how much Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) pays entry level staff?
UtilityRational:
people are just quoting salary any how grin

just dont put your hope high because some are not true and alot of the agencie's salary has change significantly with the introduction of IPPIS.
i was suprised when i saw NNPC APL for the recent concluded GT recruitment. the salary is 133k+ gross and when tax and other deduction is made, it would be 120k+ and the yearly allowance would be less than 2mill and that is for engineers oo. so i would not be surprise if dpr staff are paid 120k . the only agency i know genuinely collecting 400k+ is PPPRA . and am 99% sure that NCC are collecting less than 300k (from a reliable source).

so imaging if some body here believe what the guy above said and went to NSIA with the expectation of 600k and a car as new entry staff only to start receiving 200k+ which is the reality. cheesy

lets hopeful like us be vigilant ooo. lets not give our sefl BP with false mouth watering salary

Lolz most of you dont know what basic salary is and what take home pay is. Your APL may show basic salary of 100k but you maybe earning 200k at end of the month.

I laugh in Spanish. Brother, if you follow APL for jobs like NNPC and dpr, you won't take the job. What you see on APL and what you eventually get are way different. No b by what is written on APL oo, forget. I know what I'm saying.

The letter says 133k but their monthly takehome is 300k+. I have 3 former colleague who got it. So forget that 133k you see there

For dpr, the offer letter carries 1.8m but we all know how it goes down there. The minimum upfront there is 5m according to their budget defense.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/business-news/394867-dpr-paid-%E2%82%A68-billion-salary-upfront-in-january.html

Some of them will never tell you the actual pay so you won't start billing them. I have a friend who point and blank told me he won't ever tell me his monthly pay, allowances and benefits (FIRS) but he said and I quote "If you have someone who said 3.5m, take it, it's worth it, you'll recover your money back in 10months".

On NSIA and the 600k palava though I have doubt too. Level 9 is entitle to a car but not immediately, so there's possibility of level 8 also enjoying such. Also if it's true that Aisha Kyari was place on level 9 with an annual package of 32m then think about level 08. Find pictures evidence attached.

I SHA KNOW NSIA is one if not the best place to work in Nigeria

All the agencies you mention above are not on IPPISS.

What's our business with Sarki and Shakur ehn? It's on this thread that I got to know when and where former Director Mordecai Ladan was born and his age. Because of dpr APL, I have known every hither and yon appertaining to dpr yet ApL was no where to be found. What's really transpired in the company that makes our letters tarry, is what we should be finding solution to and not frivolity talks.

During Ladan’s tenure, people still found APL despite the disclosure of his bio-data. Whatever we have discussed today is indirectly connected to the release date of the letters. Internal matters need to be addressed before the recruitment. That was why I asked Xtruzz whether the relocation to ABJ is gonna happen before the dispatch of APL. According to her, she said we should expect it to happen simultaneously. So not all information provided on this thread is meant for everyone.

You dey mind that girl. A day after my virtual exam on Nov. 14 I was on phone call with a federal character commissioner. The chairman of the commission soon conveyed a meeting to 'investigate' the recruitment. They eventually put a call through to the ES.

There are certain things I heard that I can't say here. You guys should just stop talking about your grades and start praying for God's favor.

BTW no one is saying that you people who scored higher grades won't be invited for interview. But receiving the APL is God's divine exclusive right to decide. You need to understand that 'This is Nigeria.'

I actually praised testmi for putting up the score. Personally, I love it when I take a test and the score is displayed almost immediately so that I Know my fate, and this will be the second time I am getting such result after test, with NDDC recruitment being the first.
During NDDC testing, immediately you are done taking the test, your score pops up few seconds afterwards. Then, people accepted their scores without complaining, why, because they obviously have nothing to complain about, because there were no itches while writing, no submitting test issues, no loading test issues, no server problems, no issues of taking the test 3 or 4 times (ordinarily, if am given the opportunity to take a test twice, my second performance MUST exceed my first, but some did it more than twice-will you blame them?),
Majority of the people complaining have a genuine course to do so, if am in their shoes I will complain. Testmi on the other hand have both the yam and the knife on their hands, they decides the way to go as far as the recruitment is concerned. If they decide to move in your direction, congrats, you proceed to the next phase, if they don't, to God be the glory, you move on with your search as better opportunity awaits you.
Nairalandgirl:
You guys should stop blaming testmi for exam malpractice
The only thing I blame them for is putting up the scores

dpr, CUSTOMS, FIRS, NNPC aptitude test all have the same level of malpractice if not worse but there was no complaining about such malpractice

The only reason people are wailing about malpractice and agitating is because they are seeing other people's scores and comparing

If there were no scores displayed, all we would have been doing was waiting and praying to get to the next stage..

Forget about malpractice or whatever and pray for favour to get to the next stage.

Those who have gotten to interview stage with dpr, NNPC and more, please how is it like?

Arysexy and any other person

The interview is grouped in panels. If you are an EH with Engineering background, you will be interviewed by Engineering panel consisting of top management staff and recruitment agency.

It's not that tough, your expression ability, boldness, and Industry knowledge are key factors that can help you.

However, at interview level, you are competing with candidates from your state. So if a candidate from your state score higher than you, or the position u applied for has a candidate from another state score higher, u have lesser chances.

The last two paragraph of this statement is just on point. People need to be told that this is a competition, limited spaces for the job. Forget the mantra of what will be, will be. When you screenshot questions and start sharing, you are empowering others to do far better and putting yourself at a disadvantage. I know a lady that got all the screenshots and scored 90%. A lot of the GTs are naive and say, new to the job market.

If someone ask you how far? Give them clues, what to expect, the timing, sections etc. But sharing exact questions is just a no-no (it doesn't make the competition healthy and doesn't help NCDMB to get sound people) while the interview actually really matters but what happens when someone who did the test himself/herself and scored 60+ doesn't make the interview? And someone who scrapped things together had 90 did. Well, this country is a jungle and people will defend all sort of actions.

I will just add, testmi is incompetent (they gave room for all this mess) and this is really one of the most disorganized test have encountered since graduation.

Exactly.

This happened in dpr, I learnt my lesson from it. Those that wrote later scored higher than those of us that wrote early. I missed that opportunity cos some naive candidates went in snapped all the questions and shared in various WhatsApp groups.

The same happened in NNPC, luckily i got to the interview level and still hopeful.

I'm seeing people make the same mistake here. If they continue leaking the questions and many candidates score 80℅ and above, then averagely the cut off will be about 75% thereby putting those that wrote early and scored below 70℅ at great disadvantage.

Give clues but not exact question

Testmi just blew the little opportunity given them to shine. This should be the last recruitment contract they will ever get. Incompetent bunch

from your analogy.......
85%........
30% openly come out
70% do not
70 +30=100%
85-30=55%
Abeg help me.......

Not one to delve into such debacles but i guess since we are all educated folks here.
Let met help you with a quick one, no be everything be maths, sometimes it's logic.
10000 applied that's 100%
85% of that will be 8500
So now the 70% and 30% he is referring to will be restricted to the 85% which is 8500.
And for the record, I am not a fan of the Delhi guy and his antics but sometimes we need to look at the message objectively while ignoring the messenger. Truth will always remain that nobody is ever privy to what goes on behind the scenes and anybody who has had a good stint with job hunting especially in the context of govt recruitments will be foolish to downplay the role that connections play. Because someone tells you they don't know anybody doesn't mean that is exactly the case.

Some of the guys that drop info here with a high level of accuracy don't just come across this classified info on their front porch, it is because they know someone somewhere and even the likes of such people will have you believe that they don't really know anybody or have anybody helping them (not trying to berate them, just about any of us will want to have that privilege)

I always like to use my experience on the dpr thread as an example because I was just a newbie out of school and that thread had some of the most talks about Merit and anyone who chose to speak otherwise was tagged a hater/pessimist, but at the end of the day the merit was more of talks from people with connections in high places. In their defense it can be argued that they are also people who got it on merit having made it as far as the interview stage.

I'm a first time applicant here and I know zilch about the processes of this recruitment/screening, but I'm sure that your connections will only come to Play if you pass the Medicals and is considered fit (I remember sometimes back some guy posted about having to drop out of Navy training despite his connections).

Bottom line remains that once you have met the requirements and having made it past Medicals, there are those that rely solely on fate/GOD, while there are those that are relying on varying levels of connections. At the end of the day there are people on both sides that will make it and there are those that won't due to alot of factors.

Apologies for my Lengthy Write Up, The mass communicator in me comes to play sometimes and hopefully the Army PR Corp will have space for someone like me with no connection grin
Best of luck to everyone writing the test and safe journey to those traveling. Be safe, na pesin wey dey alive dey make final list of Training.

PSVITA:
grin grin Here are some tips that may be helpful for the test.

1. There is no past question: There is no publicly available past question. This is the first time the regulator is recruiting at such mass scale. Furthermore, it is likely handled by external recruiter. So do not worry yourself much about past question.

2. Practice SHL and GMAT: I advise that you practice GMAT and SHL. These are the two most common testing techniques for recruiters in Nigeria.
Practice online: Since the test is virtual, we advise you practice online. There are a number of websites, mostly foreign, which allow you to practice for free. Google “free SHL practice test” or “free GMAT practice test” and you can explore websites that allow you to practice for free. While you can also read SHL and GMAT books and PDF books, online practice remains the best because the test will be virtual and online practice is closer to the condition on that day than paper practice.

3. Revise your general knowledge on current affairs: While we cannot predict what questions will come out, in addition to verbal and quantitative aptitudes which are constant features of almost all online tests, most oil and gas regulatory agencies ask a couple of questions on current affairs. dpr asked in their 2017 recruitment. NNPC also did in their 2019 recruitment as you all know. So it may be helpful to refresh your current affairs. The unfortunate thing about current affairs is that it is not something you learn in a day, or even in a week. It is usually a residual knowledge from past interactions and sub-conscious readings. The good thing is, where it comes out, it is usually not the largest chunk of the questions, so you may not waste your time on starting from scratch as it is too wide. But at the minimum, know the name of minister of petroleum, minister of state for petroleum, headquarters of NCDMB, year of formation of NCDMB, name of Senate President, speaker of the House, common abbreviations like OPEC etc. Again, don’t spend too much time on this.

4. Refresh the basics of your field: Again, while we think SHL or GMAT with some sprinkle of current affairs/general knowledge may be it, don’t rule out technical questions as well. So if you are an applicant for an engineering position, you may spare hours to revise the basics of engineering, if you are from management side, basics of economics will be helpful, if you are from sciences, some basics of sciences etc.

5. Try to answer all questions, even if you have to guess: Except expressly instructed that there is negative marking, try to answer all questions even if you have to guess. You may use elimination method to reduce the options. Don’t waste your time on one question, if it is taking too much of your time, guess an answer and move to the next one. All questions are likely to carry equal marks, if you spend 5 minutes to answer a question that is proving difficult, you may be missing opportunity to answer two cheap questions at the later stage of the test.

I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST OF LUCK

Jobs/Vacancies / How To Prepare For NCDMB Local Content Virtual Test by JARUSHUB: 9:04pm On Oct 26, 2020
As Nigeria’s leading careers resources website, we have been bombarded with questions on tips for passing the forthcoming recruitment test of an oil and gas industry regulator with headquarters in one of the Niger Delta states. Although the name has not been revealed by the recruitment handlers from public information, many of the invited candidates have concluded that Nigeria Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB aka Local Content) is the agency.

On that basis, we offer some tips that may be helpful for the test.

1. There is no past question: There is no publicly available past question. This is the first time the regulator is recruiting at such mass scale. Furthermore, it is likely handled by external recruiter. So do not worry yourself much about past question.

2. Practice SHL and GMAT: We advise that you practice GMAT and SHL.

We wish you all the best. We don’t have a test coaching service for now, but this is the best we can do for you, for free. When you cross this stage and get to interview, we are planning to organize interview coaching session for candidates as we did for previous major oil and gas recruitments like NLNG (2015), dpr (2017) and NNPC (2019).
