4. Offline-Online Connection

Hmm! This is really mouth watering, efficient; because it’s a two-way thing, one communicates with the other. Offline; by just putting all your online information on the website, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and in fact all your elements of web 2.0 on your signage. Organically, you get traffic across your web 2.0. While also, on the other hand, online; in images for your business on your website and across all web 2.0, it may be a good idea to include pictures of your business’s physical location, signage and its environs. So that when people visit, they are already being familiarized with how the business and surroundings look. A lot and more customer are finding your business online, hence, that is only a tip of half the story. Because if you have got an awesome location, you can also appeal to prospects who are walking past your business every day.

3. Branding and Visual Identification

Incorporating all your brand synonyms like colours, logo, slogan, services, information, etc. With your sign depicting all these elements of information, you are able to create a branding identification with all the visual on your signage. Prominent, eye-catching signage exposes your business to people who over time may become customers and helps you build a strong brand. Like I said, earlier, in No. 2 signage are really good fighting bull and they are long lasting in whichever medium you have created them. Fellows! Start thinking signage now and if you have got one already starts thinking improvement now, a signboard that is damaged or altered may fail in conveying your brand. No matter, much as you promise to live up to rendering or delivering a great service experience to your customers or clients.

2. Competition

Using signage as a marketing tool, you are able to rival your competitors not only for a few blocks away but, also up to about 10 miles radius area of where your business is located. signage is a go-to marketing tool for your small business, no matter what industry you are, being its manufacturing, mining, down to Agriculture and entertainment industries. Because, why, there is always a rival in close by or somewhere within the radius of your business location doing just exactly or more of what you are doing to stand out as a service provider. Shops at the malls and designated markets (e.g. Alaba International market and the Ikeja Computer Village) are a just perfect example of a cluster completion where your signage could work as a fighting bull.

1. Profit Maximization

According to economists, profit maximization is the short run or long run process by which a firm determines the price and output level that returns the greatest profit. With signage, you are able to project the short run or long run output without having to do much in realizing its profits as long as you have the signage convey a well-defined information and installed in the right place. Let’s take the recharge card sellers at the bus-stops or marketplaces for an example; they display a 2x4 banner or a small chalkboard communicating all the cards they have in stock.

Business / In Most Industries, Laser Technology Is Beneficial - Science And Technology by Henryjackon2233: 12:52pm On Mar 27, 2023
Laser technology has revolutionized the industrial landscape, with applications spanning from cutting, engraving, welding, and more. In most industries, laser technology is beneficial due to its precision, efficiency, and versatility. One such industry that has reaped the benefits of laser technology is the plywood industry, particularly in the area of laser engraving.

Plywood is a versatile material that is widely used in construction, furniture, and decorative applications. Plywood sheets come in various sizes, thicknesses, and grades. They can be engraved with intricate designs, logos, and text to enhance their aesthetic value and brand recognition. Laser engraving is a popular technique used to achieve high-quality engraving results on plywood sheets.

Laser engraving is a non-contact process that uses a focused laser beam to vaporize the material's surface. The laser beam removes the material layer by layer, creating a depth effect that produces a high contrast image. Laser engraving is ideal for engraving logos, text, and graphics on plywood sheets due to its precision, speed, and repeatability. If you want to prepare plywood sheets for laser engraver, remove any dust or debris from the surface, and apply a mask or protective film if necessary. It will help ensure a clean, consistent engraving.

1. One of the advantages of laser engraving plywood sheets is that it allows for customization and personalization of products. Laser engraving can be used to create unique designs on plywood sheets, giving them a distinct look and feel. This is particularly important in the furniture industry, where customers are looking for unique pieces that reflect their personal style.

2. Another benefit of laser engraving plywood sheets is its speed and efficiency. Laser engraving can be done quickly and accurately, reducing production time and costs. Traditional engraving methods such as hand engraving or CNC milling are slower and require more labor, making them less efficient and cost-effective.

3. Laser engraving is also a more environmentally friendly process compared to traditional methods. Laser engraving produces less waste and consumes less energy, making it a greener alternative to traditional engraving methods. The laser beam can be controlled and directed precisely, reducing the amount of material waste generated during the engraving process.

Furthermore, laser engraving allows for the creation of complex designs and patterns that may be difficult or impossible to achieve with traditional engraving methods. Laser engraving can produce fine details and intricate designs, giving plywood sheets a more professional and polished look. This makes laser-engraved plywood sheets ideal for use in high-end furniture, interior design, and architectural applications.

Laser engraving machines have become an essential tool for many industries, including the plywood industry. Laser engraving machines are used to create intricate designs, patterns, and logos on plywood sheets. They offer precision, speed, and versatility, making them a popular choice for businesses looking to customize and personalize their products.

Here are some of the ways laser engraving machines are used in the plywood industry:

1. Customized Designs: Laser engraving machines are used to create unique designs on plywood sheets, giving them a personalized touch. The designs can be customized to match specific customer requirements, creating a distinct and memorable product.
2. Branding: Plywood sheets can be laser engraved with logos and text, making them ideal for branding purposes. Laser engraving machines can produce high-quality images that are crisp and clear, ensuring brand recognition and increasing brand awareness.
3. Decorative Applications: Laser engraving machines are used to create decorative patterns and designs on plywood sheets, making them ideal for use in interior design and architectural applications. The intricate patterns and designs produced by laser engraving machines can give plywood sheets a unique and elegant look.
4. Identification: Plywood sheets can be laser engraved with identification numbers, making them easy to track and identify. This is particularly useful in industries where large quantities of plywood sheets are used and tracking them can be a challenge.
5. Personalized Gifts: Laser engraving machines are used to create personalized gifts made from plywood sheets. The machines can engrave images, text, and designs, making it possible to create unique and memorable gifts for special occasions.
6. Cutting And Engraving: Laser engraving machines are used to cut and engrave plywood sheets to precise specifications. The machines offer high precision, allowing for intricate designs to be cut and engraved with ease.

Conclusion
In conclusion, laser engraving machines have become an essential tool for the plywood industry. They are used to create customized designs, branding, decorative patterns, identification, personalized gifts, cutting and engraving, prototyping, signage, awards, and trophies. The machines offer precision, speed, and versatility, making them a popular choice for businesses looking to enhance their products and services. The use of laser engraving machines has revolutionized the plywood industry, allowing for greater customization, personalization, and creativity.

I was coming from broad street and got a request to yaba, rider was at that elephant building shortly after the apongbon bridge on the left, traffic light going straight to the under bridge already passed me but the one to go straight is red and I know that light is for people going straight so I turned left since it should automatically mean turn left on red, that's how this CBD guy just came to me, I asked, oga wetin happen, the guy pointed at the light and I said isn't that for people going straight, he said its for everyone under the bridge, I argued how can it be for everyone under the bridge, wouldn't that causes congestion under the bridge for people going to join the bridge in front.

Serious argument ensued as he was trying to tell me I was wrong and blablabla, me that I was already frustrated with low requests and all, I just started shouting what is wrong with you people, if you see how everyone dey look me like what could make this fine guy be shouting at the top of his voice, while I was still dragging and arguing with the stupid CBD, my rider kept calling, at a point, I picked and told him I will call him back as I'm trying to deal with the CBD, I never knew my rider already sighted me and he came towards me with an agbero guy, that's how my rider just told the CBD guys that he was the one I was coming to carry, immediately the CBD guys heard that, them weak straight, one of them was like I should sha give them 1k to buy card, I just look the guy tell am say shishi no dey my hand.

Read up on the thread. There's a particular page highlighting major pitfalls/one way roads .find it.

Don't dive into all areas in Lagos. You are to make money ,not tour guide the whole of Lagos. Always use Gmap as a guide. Trust your instincts more.

Bolt &Uber won't tell you this... As a rookie, you shouldn't go to some parts of lagos, leave that to the experienced ones.

I will tell you this for free. Balogun market by Uba,lagos island, there's no day I pass that route that I don't see Lastma & Cbd arresting at least 2 uber cars.. ..I look at those guys and I know they are rookies.. Most riders will tell you to quickly drop or pick them by Uba or by the roadside, once you do that, you already put yourself on the way to Sura.

Christopher Zakka not to undermine the efforts put in place by the FCTA in harmonising revenue emblems in the six area councils.

Mr. Nwokocha accused AMAC of printing revenue emblems they are not constitutionally empowered to produce, insisting that this will thwart the effort to stop revenue leakage in the FCT.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja at the weekend, Mr. Nwokocha expressed dissatisfaction with the indiscriminate arrest of NFHA staff by an aide of the chairman identified as Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf whom he also accused of being directly involved in illegal printing of revenue emblems to swindle unsuspecting residents of the FCT.

According to Mr. Nwokocha, the launch of FCTA harmonised mobile adverts revenue for the six area councils November last year by the Minister of FCT, Muhammad Musa Bello represented by the ministry's permanent secretary, Adesola Olusade was aimed at ending illegality and activities of criminal elements who feed fat from revenue leakage in the FCT.

He said this may be thwarted if the AMAC chairman does not call his aide, Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf and his collaborators to order, maintaining that his illegally printed revenue emblems which he sells to unsuspecting residents must not be allowed to continue.

"It must also be made clear that Mr. Yunusa with one Haliru Ismaila and one Ignatius Okechukwu have raked illegal revenue in essence of N200m in AMAC and we had thought that the launch of the harmonised mobile adverts revenue emblem would have ended their illegality but that is not the case.

"All the six area council chairmen were present at the launch of this document November last year at International Conference Centre. Despite the warning by the Minister, these individuals have continued with their nefarious trade, disobeying constituted authorities with impunity.

"We all know that all revenues due to the government should go to the Treasury Single Account from where the six area councils factor out a sharing formula. But I can tell you, millions of Naira have ended up in the pocket of Mr. Yunusa and cohorts", he stated.

Mr. Nwokocha further denied receiving revenues on behalf of AMAC, stating that his organisation, NFHA as a technical partner to the department of Outdoor Advertisement and signage, DOAS only markets the harmonised emblems.

He also queried where Yunusa derived his power to arrest officials of NFHA who are only carrying out their official assignments, warning that further harassment of NFHA staff will be met with stiff resistance.

"I also want to use this opportunity to advise FCT residents to henceforth stop paying their mobile advert revenue to AMAC agents. The Minister has given a stern warning that anyone doing this will have himself to blame.

"All revenue from mobile advert are to be paid to the Federal Capital Territory Administration through the Treasury Single Account. It is also illegal for any agency of government to use a departmental account to receive public revenue", he warned.

Mr. Nwokocha therefore appealed to AMAC to henceforth desist from receiving public revenue with departmental account but direct same to TSA.

According to him, his organisation is working with the FCTA task force to ensure the prompt arrest of perpetrators of illegality in collection of revenues accrued to administration, including those who smuggle revenue emblems from neighbouring states to shortchange FCTA.

Business / 5 Proven Ways To Get The Best Out Of Your Signage And Outdoor Advertising by Branditbobby(m): 11:00am On Dec 23, 2022
Small Business Encyclopedia defines signage and outdoor advertising , as any advertising done outdoors that publicizes your business's products and services. Examples include billboards, bus-sheds, transit ads, mobile adverts, bus benches, signage and so on.

The importance of signage and outdoor advertising can never be overemphasized for anybody or organization that is serious about marketing and visibility. That being said, here are five best ways to get the best out of your signage and outdoor advertising.

1. signage and Outdoor Advertising Location

The location for your signage our outdoor advert is probably the most important thing to consider when you want to get the best return on your investment. For starters, it should be in a location with high volume of human and vehicular traffic. Consider locations such as markets, bus stops, areas with high traffic congestion etc You should also consider if that location has a good percentage of your target audience and not just human traffic alone. For instance, it makes more sense to place your sanitary
pad outdoor advertising close to an all-girls school instead of close to an all-boys school.

2. signage Positioning

It is easy to confuse the position of your signage and outdoor advert with location, but the truth is that they are not the same thing. Location deals with the exact place it occupies geographically while position deals with how it is placed in that location. When positioning your signage or outdoor advertisement, it is best to ensure that is facing oncoming traffic as opposed to backing it. The placement should neither be too high above eye level nor too low below eye level. People tend to be a lot more focused on where they are headed than any other thing, so it is best to align your signage and outdoor advert to their eye line and field of vision. This is very important not just for marketing purposes alone, but for important signages such road signs to avoid accidents and navigation errors.

3. signage and Outdoor Advertising Cost

It goes without saying that cost is a very important factor as well. You should consider the size of your business, market, industry and goal before choosing the your signage and outdoor advertising. For instance, a relatively small business such as a phone shop won’t have the same budget as a telecommunications company like MTN, therefore, it won’t make sense for them to start mounting expensive billboards all over the city. God for something within your budget that has a relatively good return on investment. Small businesses can start with a signpost near their shop/office, branded shirts and caps, banners and pasting posters as opposed to mounting billboards that are quite expensive.

4. Color scheme

When it comes to the colors used on your signage and outdoor adverting, it is best to use high visibility colors such as yellow, white, red etc. If such colors aren’t possible due to things like your company color scheme and logo, it is usually best to use a mix of contrasting colors for the background and text.
Beyond just colors, ensure that the signage reflects light properly

5. Type
There are various types of signage and outdoor adverting. These include LED billboards, plain billboards, road signs, posters, bus/car branding, shirt branding, banners etc You choice depends on budget and other metrics that matter to you. For instance, dynamic LED billboards are cheaper than regular billboards even though they might occupy the same location, but some companies still prefer the regular nondynamic billboards because they fear that they might not get the visibility they seek if they
opt for dynamic LED billboards that show several ads from different companies in a short
space of time.

Business / Five Important Traffic Signage Types And Their Meaning In Nigeria by Branditbobby(m): 3:40pm On Dec 20, 2022
Road traffic signage are very important for drivers and pedestrians using the roads. They communicate a lot of things to safeguard lives and reduce traffic. They might as well be called informational signs because they convey important information.

They are categorised into regulatory, warning, and guide traffic signs and they all come in various colours depending on the category. When road safety signs are yellow, they are there to caution road users about potential dangers while using that road.

If the safety signs are green, they are simply guiding road users on which direction to follow. These signs usually have the names of upcoming routes on them. They are mostly directional signs and arrow signage.

If the traffic signage design has a white background, it means that it is a regulatory sign and since this is there to deter road users from committing road traffic offences, it can also be called a caution sign.

Whichever category road signs are, one important thing a road traffic signage must possess is good visibility in both daytime and night-time. It doesn’t mean that they should be illuminated signs, but the material used must be reflected and colours must be bright.

So without further to do, here are five important road traffic signage meaning

1. Stop Road Traffic signage

A stop sign is a fairly common road traffic sign that is used to tell drivers to stop. It is usually placed at intersections/junctions so that the driver can come to a complete stop first, then check his environment to be certain that the road is clear before proceeding once more.

2. A No U-Turn Road Traffic signage

This is a very common road traffic signage design in Nigeria. It means that a driver cannot turn at that particular junction/intersection and must keep going ahead. Although many drivers disobey it, it is meant to control traffic in an area that usually has high volume of traffic.

3. Then, the Opposite, U-Turn Traffic signage

This is the opposite of the “No U-turn” road traffic signage design. Just like the name says, it means that t=drivers can make a U-turn at any junction they see this road safety sign.

4. One way Road Safety signage

This is one important road traffic sign that many Nigerians have fallen victim to. It essentially means one-way traffic, but because it is not written as one way signage, Nigerians tend to ignore it until they are caught by LASTMA. They are of two types. One with the wording “Do not enter” and another without any wording at all. Anyone you see, just understand that is a s one-way traffic signage.

5. Speed Limit Road Traffic Sign

This road traffic sign indicates the maximum speed a driver should use on that particular stretch of road. It is used to reduce accident on a road.

6. No Parking Road Sign

This Road sign is used to caution drivers not to park in a particular area. It is usually found on the side of the road close to the sidewalk.

However, dealing with compliance is inevitable. Legal or regulatory processes that take up time and money are almost always involved in virtually every aspect of starting, expanding, financing, and even scaling back your business.

It’s a lot of work, but a fully compliant business is a healthy business. Creating a procedure that meticulously follows federal, state, and local rules and regulations is the first step to good small business compliance. Ask yourself the following questions to assess the present state of your small business’ compliance:

Is the human resources team improving their HR processes by keeping updated on changes in employment law?
Is the accounting team keeping an eye on sales and use tax issues?
Is your business keeping customer data secure?
Does the company have a compliance officer or committee, or is the owner ultimately responsible for compliance?
While some industries are subject to greater regulation than others, all businesses must comply with specific general compliance challenges regardless of size.

We’ve compiled a quick list of some items you should be aware of. For a more detailed discussion of your responsibilities, consider talking with your compliance officer, attorney, or tax advisor for professional guidance.

Business Licenses And Permits
A business license grants a company the authority to conduct business in a specific area or industry. Depending on the kind of business and location, obtaining business licenses and permissions from the state, county, or town may be necessary. Some examples of the things you need to look into are:
