Politics / Igbo Leaders Pleading For Nnamdi Kanu Release Aren't Sincere–Amb Coomassie by okrote4real: 3:15am
The special envoy on diplomacy & good governance of the International Peace Commission of the United Nations, who doubles as the Global Vice Chairman, Advocacy for Good Governance Network Amb. Hussaini Coomassie has called out some religious and traditional rulers for being the problem of Nigeria.
Coomassie made this known why delivering a keynote speech at the 2021 National Peace Summit in Abuja titled "Peace, Unity & Security Panacea To Achieving A Sustainable & Peaceful Coexistence Among Ethno– Religious/cultural Groups In Nigeria."
Speaking with journalists, the he explained that Nigeria's major problems are selfish religious and traditional leaders who aligned themselves with politics, thereby siding one political party while undermining the efforts of the security agencies to maintain everlasting peace in the country.
He also added that some youths are not helping matters as they are not ready to take up the mantle of leadership through hard work, but always looking for the impossible short cuts.
He opined that 90 per cent of protests in Nigeria in the recent past were sponsored and politically motivated with no genuine intent, especially the anti Yaradua protests, BBOG, Anti Jonathan Protest, #REVOLUTIONNOW, #ENDSARS among others.
"It was organised by some aggrieved persons just to create havoc and make the country ungovernable. All these nonsense should stop and let's all embrace peace, love for one another and above all, love for our country Nigeria with fear of God.
"The global pandemic alone is enough to humble us, but we turned deaf ears.
In Africa, we have our simple ways of maintaining peace, through religious and traditional leaders but some selfish leaders have bastardised the system. Until we go back to the drawing board and give peace a chance, we are going no where.
"it's glaring some of our traditional and religious leaders are our problems. The Igbo leaders pleading for the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu should have first condemned his utterances and apologise unconditionally to the families of those killed by his unguided utterances via IPOB, including the security personnel, then we will believe they are serious. There's hypocrisy is their mission.
"Igbo leaders should embark on a peace move to align with every part of Nigeria, because their investments outside Igboland are more than what they have at home. In the North alone, the igbos have over N44trillon worth of investments talk more of the of South- West and South South with Lagos and Portharcourt as case study. So you see every parts of Nigeria is important, we all need one another," he concluded.
Ambassador Coomassie called on all Nigeria to be prepared for the 2023 general elections to choose their preferred candidate. He also urge Nigerians never to sell their vote for the betterment of the country.
Crime / Abia Police Reluctant To Find Officer Missing For One Week by Alaskaari: 3:13am
David Emmanuel, a Deputy Superintendent of Police attached to Zone 9, Headquarters of the Nigeria Police, Umuahia, Abia State, has been missing for one week, but the police have shown little or no interest in finding him.
Emmanuel was last seen in Umuahia on November 27, when he went to Ihiala Local Government Area in Anambra State to fix his faulty car.
In early November, Ihiala made national headlines after the recent governorship election in the state failed to take place in the LGA, resulting in an inconclusive election.
“My father still phoned me that Saturday to tell me he was on his way to fix his car at Ihiala,” Comfort, the missing police officer’s daughter, told FIJ. “After reporting to his police station, they arrested the driver of the commercial driver of Imo Transport Company (ITC) in Umuahia, which they confirmed he had boarded to Anambra.”
However, both Comfort and her brother, Ebenezer, told FIJ that the police did not let them see the passengers’ record book from where they could have found out if their father boarded the ITC vehicle or not.
“My uncle and I went there a couple of times, but they kept telling us they were investigating it,” Ebenezer told FIJ.
“Maybe it’s police procedure or so, but the process is slow towards regaining my father’s freedom. The family believes my father is still alive.”
‘PRIVATE INVESTIGATION INITIATED’
Following the lackadaisical attitude of the Nigeria Police towards the disappearance of Emmanuel, his family decided to personally investigate it to the best of their resources, FIJ learned.
Almost a week after the senior police officer went missing, Comfort observed that the text he sent to his father before his disappearance was read for the first time on Thursday.
“That showed that his phone had been switched on, with the internet activated and the Whatsapp messages checked,” Comfort noted.
The family contacted a private phone tracker, whose findings showed that Emmanuel’s phone was at a location between Abia and Anambra State.
“I showed the police our evidence on Friday, but they didn’t collect it from me,” Ebenezar told FIJ. “They said they would conduct their own investigation. They only collected the same phone number tracked.”
A top police officer from Zone 9 told Emmanuel’s family that the police had sent a signal to Abuja, requesting for a joint team to enhance their search.
The source claimed that the Imo State Police Command had combed their bushes to no avail. Meanwhile, Emmanuel went missing while on his way to Ihiala in Anambra and has slim chances of being in Imo.
When FIJ contacted Kayode Adetumbi, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Zone 9, he said, “He (Emmanuel) is my brother and I am very concerned about it, but I am not permitted to talk. Call the police PRO”.
When FIJ contacted Kayode Adetumbi, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Zone 9, he said, “He (Emmanuel) is my brother and I am very concerned about it, but I am not permitted to talk. Call the police PRO”.
Geoffrey Ogbonna, the spokesman of the Abia State Police Command, did not answer FIJ’s calls or respond to a text message for comments.

Family / Re: How Do Pastor Children Cope? by Vision101(m): 3:10am
It's really difficult to be a pastor, pastor's wife or pastor's child. So much expectations. Everybody watches you. If you do what others are doing your friends will remind you that you are pastors son.
As a pastor if you have a bad tenant you can't do what other landlords to bad tenants. If you try it the same bad tenant will remind you that you call yourself a pastor.
If someone hits your car, you can't talk angrily on the road. Within minutes someone that knows you will emerge. I have had to spend #700k this year on my car that was totally damaged by someone that could not afford #20k.
You can't eat anywhere you want. When you attend parties you can't eat in public. Everyone brings their problems to you but you have no one to take your problem to.
It's worse for those of us that render free service. Your children only see sacrifices. They become scared to become pastors. Statistics show that majority of pastors seeds have no desire to be one.
When I carry my own too far, my wife will remind me that she didn't marry me as a pastor but as an accountant. My son will tell me that there are various routes through Jesus to heaven.
Will the world ever understand?

Politics / Re: Captain Hugh Crow, British Explorer, Describes Igbo People During His Tour by IGBOSON1: 1:58am
You really are a cantankerous slimeball! If you 'don't pamper stupidity' then put a gun to your head and blow your brains out!
Ain't it funny that you arrogate to your quarrelsome self, the 'authority' to decide what one can or can't comment on on a thread!? It smacks of being a control-freak with a disturbed mind when you read misplaced and unwarranted meanings into posts based on your own paranoia, fears and insecurities, and then go off on a rant about 'paper bag' nonsense.....like i give a shit!
If you had issues with the points the OP raised, you should have directed you misplaced rant at the original post....esp' seeing as you don't have a case to begin with!
I was in agreement with the OP to the extent that....based on the extract quoting the observations of the explorer Captain Crow, and from my own observations too....that IN PRE-COLONIAL TIMES, THERE WAS A HIGHER INCIDENCE OF LIGHTER-SKINNED IGBOS AS A PERCENTAGE OF THE POPULATION THAN IS PRESENTLY THE CASE TODAY! It's only a quarrelsome, nit-picking asswipe like you that would read that and have your imagination run wild about 'paper-bags....shopping-bags' and all the other horseshit you posted up there! If you can't live with my observation and my position, then you can go get a strong rope and hang!
You may not have realised it, seeing as you're thick as a plank, but as you're screaming that 'Igbos are all black as charcoal', you're inadvertently making light-skinned Igbos feel there's something wrong with them and that they are 'impostors'....not 'real Igbos' since they're not dark-skinned like majority of their kinsfolk are! YOU are the schmuck that is creating a caste-system....in your case, one that favours dark-skinned Igbos!
Mazi Kanu remains my hero till tomorrow! I may not agree with all he says and his position on how to go about the struggle...but he remains my hero nonetheless! The difference between you and i is our approach to disagreeing with him, and this is what ultimately exposes you for the fraud and 5th-columnist you actually are! You've managed to fool a lot of Igbos and others on here with your fake 'pro-Igbo' stance, but i noticed long ago that there's something sinister, deceptive and nasty about you!
For a happier and more content life, learn to let go of the desire to 'police' any and every post you feel isn't in keeping with your own position!

Just cuz I don't agree with every nasty sexual stuff you love to talk about, now you are feeling regretful and changing you're words about me being this and that. You don't want to allow anyone bear some of your pains, by trying to make you see that you could offload some emotional baggages...with a lil help from someone...You feel so angry...you want to be left alone...you want to not feel penetrable. Datboredberry:And you are Lol'n at what? That you feel Ok " shook a table this evening " and it somehow got me irked or annoyed? Maybe like some other commenters? Do you feel the need to have to be toxic to get to experience some typa high? Is this the entertainment you feel is your niche? Like without this type of online character, there will be no 'datboredberry' ...?? Isn't this exhausting to you? So this isn't, but dealing with my rebukes are? Okidoki..
Just incase you were referring to me as well...ill say, get of that high-horse my darling. I am not one of them. Don't get excited or pleased yet... I only commented because you and I have interacted openly, on other threads. On a deep level...maybe that was a mistake I'll have to regret. I just wanted to tell you how I felt about your utterances. Not that I was attacking you... But you can go ahead and share the comments you claim to be attacks.... if this makes you feel... satisfied. It's fine.
You couldn't keep up with me yesterday? What's this supposed to even mean? Well, I'm not sure exactly what. So I won't assume.
Anyway, you deleted it after second-guessing. Your choice....I think it's pride-related. You hate feeling vulnerable... I get it. You've spelled it out for before now. You mentioned it. It's exhaustin? Because?? I call you out on some of the things you say that people do not like? Alrighty....I understand. You're human.
Lastly, the bolded wasn't necessary..it shows hurt, if you'll be honest with yourself. Calling them unintelligent for disagreeing with you...hmmm... Not so smarty, come to think of it.
And I didn't say most men really get boring easily. I wonder where you got that from. You just want to find any slightly opportunity to talk down on men. It's fine...and I get it. But just don't make me look like I instigated it when I didn't. Do you think you aren't boring to someone else? Like, you easily bore them? It's a rhetorical question, BTW. So we should all try to cut others some slack and not feel too ' smart and clever' than others . Looking down on them because of social class and writing skills or being a wordsmith and the likes of it. You know sometimes it gets lonely at the top...I'm sure you know what I mean here. You even hinted at this in your lengthy response to my comment, two days ago. Maybe you have something to do with feeling alone and feeling they don't belong on your level with regards to the habits, intelligence, etc, that you feel are for a selected few. Better to carry everyone along...You never know when and where you will need em. Just saying...
I'm not expecting you to reply to every thing I've said. Just for you to read them all with understanding whenever you're ready to read them. So , pls don't come saying ' I can't or I don't think I can reply to all your mentions ' You don't have to, dear. Just get the message.
Already, I observed that you pick out the ones you can easily counter and defend yourself, to respond to. I noticed that. The rest, you ignore...maybe you saw some infallible truths in some of them. But the point is not countering or agreeing with the things I state about you. It's about you understanding what I'm trying to pass across to you and to see if you could do some introspection maybe...just maybe do some adjustments, especially where it concerns others. And of course, yourself too.
It's not a battle zone. I hope you will see this.

Yes, there are a lot effeminate gay men. This probably explains why being effeminate is associated with being gay. But the fact is, we have just as many manly gay men. And while you may not believe it, effeminate people don't just like to behave like women, they are just like that. They don't know how else to walk, sit, laugh or talk. Just like a lady being feminine without consciously making efforts to do so, an effeminate child would behave like a woman without taking any decision at any point to do so. They don't learn it; a good deal of masculinity/feminity could you considered as traits.
You can tell a child would be effeminate from a tender age. He doesn't just behave like a girl but in some cases, prefers things girls like. In Africa, his parents would always criticise him, his teachers would make fun of him, his mates would bully him, etc. and yet, he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Any efforts made to be "manly" would normally result in an awkward behaviour. Such kids go into extreme depression and/or low self esteem. Some even get suicidal as no one ever cares to listen or try to understand (especially the gay ones). What usually happens is that when they get to a certain age, they decide they don't care anymore. And to show this, they dress up dramatically as a way of saying, "I can't hide myself anymore, I call your bluff!"
Transgendering is a different ball game. While a lot of trans are gay, there are many of them who wouldn't be considered gay prior to transitioning. The only trans I know in person transitioned into a lady and she has a girlfriend. This means she wasn't gay before transitioning.
I don't know why you chose me to answer your question though.
Education / Re: Sylvester Oromoni's 12th Posthumous Birthday (Pictures, Video) by Tribalism123(m): 12:30am
The parents left the child in the custody of the school.
They traveled to Warri. The school management did not place call to the parents. It was the house master that placed a call to the elder sister. Because none of them were available, they asked the elder brother's friend who also graduated from the school(but in Warri Nigeria), to go and check his friend's younger brother. The friend went there and called his friend back(Sylvester's brother) that the condition is bad that they should come. His father sent the elder brother to pick a flight to Lagos to ascertain Sylvester's condition. But when his brother came and saw his condition, he had to call the father that he should come back. The father left what he was doing in Warri and came back immediately. Then everything just happened. U said he qas careless to have not taken the guy to hospital. The reason is this. The school management gave the impression that Sylvester sustained injuries from football. As a father who has an uncle that straightens bones, he had to hurry up to take his child to his uncle. It was his uncle that told the father that the bones were not fractured, but all his body segments are swollen. It was then the father called the family doctor in warri to take charge.
The things that killed Sylvester were.
1: The school's assumption that he played football.
2: the school's carelessness not to follow up their pupils health conditions.
3: the parents location as at the time of the incident.
4: the parents assumption that if Sylvester was that sick the school should have called and so it could be something they can handle then.
5:The evil kids who did not only beat up Sylvester but went far into giving him poison.
6: The threat that they would kill him along with his roommates if he says what they did to him.
Dont point a finger at the family.
Rest On Captain Sylvester jnr

Typical Nigerian you be... You should question your data for giving you internet to type this nonsense or maybe in your world parents in Nigeria send thier children to private schools so thier child can be killed.
Nobody told the parents the child was beaten or lynched and near death... They told the parent it was football he played that injured his son... Hope that sinks in your grey matter.
What you should be asking is what kind of school administrators will see a child lynched and say it was from football playing?
