Addressing Germany's Skilled Labour Shortage: No one is talking about this

Germany is facing a deepening shortage of skilled workers due to various political, historical, and economic factors. The ageing population is resulting in a long-term decline in the number of potential workers available to the labour market. This trend is already causing shortages in some industries and regions, with projections indicating a worsening situation in the future. According to a study by the
Institute for Employment Research (IAB)

sustaining the labour supply until 2060 would require an annual net migration of 400,000 individuals - now let that sink for a moment! This situation presents not just an economic challenge, but also an opportunity to innovate in how we attract and integrate skilled labour into the economy.

through a detailed exploration, i aims to shed light on this pressing issue and the sustainable approaches being undertaken to mitigate its impact, particularly through the Opportunity Pulse AfroDiasporans initiative developed by
Kirooto Consults International and Setlinn.com

Recently, the
IHK Potsdam
hosted a significant gathering focusing on economic strategies in Brandenburg. Among the attendees was
Stephen Bwete
from Kirooto Consults International, who participated in discussions regarding educational industry challenges and apprenticeship recruitment.

Key figures such as Sebastian Stietzel, Dr. Dietmar Woidke, Prof. Dr. Jörg Steinbach, Franziska Giffey, Sabine Köhne-finster, and Kai Wegner emphasized collaborative strategies to address regional workforce issues. Key discussions highlighted the need for a unified workforce strategy, overcoming bureaucratic hurdles, investing in domestic workforce development, and proposing innovative approaches to enhance the appeal of the capital region, Berlin-Brandenburg.

Germany's skilled labour shortage presents a significant challenge but also an opportunity to rethink workforce development and integration. The collaborative efforts of Kirooto Consults and Setlinn, exemplified by the new Opportunity Pulse AfroDiasporans initiative, offer a standard for leveraging community networks to address this issue. By fostering an environment that celebrates diversity, encourages education, and facilitates networking, we can build a workforce that is not only skilled but also reflective of the globalized world we live in. If you imagine yourself as a part of this movement in any way, keep spreading the good words.

Politics / Re: Divorce: Asiya Ganduje To Return Bride Price To Inuwa Uba by Nobody: 10:36am On Jan 20, 2023
Righthussle:
Women stand up to end the culture of bride price in Nigeria. The practice of the bride price is demeaning to women. It makes many African men feel as though they “own their wives” and therefore feel they have the right to do as they wish.

Paying the bride price means there's an implicit moral obligation on a woman’s part to respect and obey her husband’s commands and wishes. Psychologically, the practice creates an ownership mentality in men which may lead them to see their wives as their ‘purchase’ over whom they exercise unfettered authority, including physical and psychological abuse.

The payment of bride price is also associated with the perception of women as ‘acquired properties’ over whom men exercise authority and control. The transactional character of the practice could ‘objectify’ and ‘commoditise’ women in marriage.

Did you know about Job in the Bible that faced trials? Does it occur to you that it wasn't recorded about that woman that she left Job despite the fact he lost everything?

Now that is a wife, and until the ladies of today are ready to be like that, they will continue to get things wrong.

What about Sarah whom is the wife of the father of faith? Did she leave Abraham because of impotency or predicament? He calls him my "master" and "husband". Hmn.. Not what is obtainable in the life of the women out there today.

They call themselves finster following the life of Queen Vashti who was divorced and replaced with a girl that was a victim of war...

If you want your marriage to last as a lady, you must be like Sarah and Esther not like Queen Vashti. I rest my pen!

Dnt you think your sermon is one sided?

In every marriage that collapses or successful, two of them are involved, though percentages of their involvement may differ.

Bionica:

Bros, I really don't want to get too deeply involved in this but......

I am happy you mentioned the issue of full disclosure. Any good lawyer would make you see that refusal to disclose fully all features could be seen as a deliberate attempt to 'scam'. The semantics can be visited and analysed but the truth stands apart.

In purchasing technology be it soft or hard, there are usually some very specific details which in the majority of cases are secondary to the everyday peripheral user.

Let's take the case of a Smart T.V for instance, the varied and many features make it very difficult for a regular like like me to decide what I want so my best bet is inclining to age and price which may not be the case.

In buying stuff from here I must say that the adverts and the antecedence of the seller is a good indication of how fluid the transaction will be. People go the whole way in describing their product and stating the negatives. That is what is called integrity...which unfortunately some of us lack.

You for instance sell doors. Are you aware that many people who seek to buy doors from you in the future will conduct a little research by reading your previous posts? I would most definitely not part with my hard earned money just by reading one very loud sentence you made up there...or perhaps will only pay you after delivery and installation followed by due certification.

Pls be very careful with what you post. You are a business man.

Enough said.
when you don't specify your needs, you can't blame seller for not satisfying them.

He told you what he has for sale, you made your choice at first and when it didn't work for you, you made a second choice. By the second time, you could have been wiser and being specific about your choices and still you didn't. What happens if he replaces for the third time, you will still come back for fourth, fifth and tenth replacement? Where does it end. When does the seller get angry like a human? Are you dumb or something. They don't do business like that.

Trust me,if the seller goofed I will drag him wella because he's ruining business opportunities for vendors like myself. But in this case, the buyer is a whole bag of trouble whose goal is to ruin someone reputation and business.

I won't stand or be a part of where someone business is destroyed and keep quiet.

bestme:
Hello, nairalanders in the house, pls I need your sincere advice in this matter.

I have known this lady I really want to marry for over 2 years now. Though our friendship have been a casual one. The issue is she told me she is a graduate and then i visited her house over 2 years back I met her mom and she asked me where I came from- my tribe and if I am a graduate and told her my tribe and yes I am graduate.

She said she wants her daughter to marry a graduate because she has done her best to train her school. It was of recent we started a serious marriage relationship and I told my pastor and we both met with pastor already.

It Is now she told me that she did not graduate that she was unable to pay school fees, though she went up to 500level and did I.T but her parents only paid 100 and 200 level school fees. She said she has no result/certificate. I told her am honestly disappointed for hiding this from me ever since and she said it is because I have not really made my intentions know to her.

One of the reasons I like her was being a graduate and I have not dreamt of marrying a non graduate.

Pls your sincere advice.

This is a very frivolous issue son! She na graduate you go eat? You want graduate wey be finster wey go dey give you problems or you want someone wey go give you peace of mind. She she dey give you peace of mind and respect you? If yes, dat na the Koko not useless paper called certificate. You are trying to build a home not a university! Forgive her for her misdemeanors on this one bro! Dey hear, dey hear o!
Romance / Re: Please Help Me Judge, Is My Fiancee A Wife Material Or Not . by yemi1504: 5:45pm On Dec 25, 2021
Richdoh:
I'm a young hard work guy who's planning to settle down someday. I have a girlfriend whom I have gone to see her family with my own family , as in, we have done our introduction, what was remaining was for us to fix a date for our wedding.

But this girl started showing some nasty attitude. There was a day she came to spend weekend with me and I gave her some money to buy some food stuffs to cook, that day i received the greatest shocke of my life , my fiancee warmed me never to send her message like that again that she is not my slave.

As if that was not enough. Another day she came to spend some days with me but when she got to my house I was not at home that day. She went to the bathroom to get some shower but unfortunately there was no water running in the bathroom because we didn't had light for 2days so we couldn't pump water. Normally when there's no water like that we usually fetch from the next compound. Though I live in a room and parlour self contain with water running in my kitchen and bathroom.

To cut the long story short, my fiancee refused to fetch water for herself to take her shower. She had to call me on phone to come home and fetch water for her to take her shower. When I eventually got home at late hour, I took the bucket went to fetch water for her to bath just for peace to rain. I later asked her why she had to call me to come and fetch water for her to bath knowing fully well that I was not around. She said in her house, she does not fetch water that her dad usually call Aboki's and buy water from them. She told me that she can't leave a suffering life of having to fetch water, she can never do it.

Please nairalander is this a good sign or bad sign to watch out for?

This one is dating awon "woke" generation of women and finster SMH. Son and bro, why do you like problems for your life? Why not cut this sham of a relationship and be patient to see the homely ones like our mothers however long it takes. They are still around even though finding them is akin to looking for a needle in a haystack. My 2 cents.

PS Those two situations you mentioned are very bad signs. Time to cut it up and move on bro.

finster is when you belong to a group on FB called females in Nigeria...

It's just a group where women gather to tell their stories concerning life in general.

Why finster?
Check The Meaning of finster The New Trending Word on Social Media

D
ear sisters and friends, here is my short answer to a question 500 people ask me every week when they see how Female IN (FIN) works and I took some time to write this out. Hope it helps.

Founder Female IN (FIN)

Let me begin by saying something you may disagree with.

I don't believe we need less groups.

What we really need is more of the meaningful, positive groups driven by a specific mission guaranteed to bring people together and make life a little easier/better for its members.

So, if you lead an existing group OR you are passionate about your brand or a cause and want to connect people around an issue that's important to you, I hope you pay attention to this because these are the specifics of how I created one of the most influential communities on Facebook.

LISTEN!

According to google, there are more than 800 MILLION groups on Facebook alone which means if you want to find the right people who share your passion for your product, service or cause, then you have to begin with making some good decisions.

800 MILLION! and that was years ago... therefore my point is, there's a lot of competition for our attention and the right steps can help you cut right through all that noise to build the next incredible community where we can all feel safe.

HERE WE GO.

BE CRYSTAL CLEAR on what drives you and what you're trying to achieve. This first one is obvious but also the toughest to follow-through.

If you don't tell us exactly what drives you and the community you want to create, we will fill in the gaps all by ourselves and mischaracterize what you're trying to achieve.

First impressions are really difficult to change.

So whatever platform you choose be it on whatsapp, linkedin, slack, instagram or Facebook..

Do not create your group.
Do not name your group.
Do not invite your friends.
UNTIL you've done the following...
Define what the world will look like if the community you're trying to build is successful. (vision)
Define what you need to do to achieve #1. (mission)
Declare to yourself what steps you will take to set your community apart from the other billion. (culture)
Declare with brutal honesty to yourself WHY you're doing this because if the WHY is not keeping you up at night, then it's not strong enough to get you through the difficult times.
Whom do you want to connect to your product, brand, cause? Whom do you want to bring together? (target) Continue reading...

Continue from Episode ONE
O my goodness, thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes, the prayers and all, y’all made my day so special yesterday, may happiness and celebration never depart from your homes in JESUS, AMEN.

The children ran into the room, jumping into their mother’s arms, giving her a kiss then doing the same to their father.
“So were you two good for Grandma?” he asked, still holding Anna-Lisa in his arms.

“Yes daddy,” the little girl said and chattered on about everything they had done. Lorenzo rolled his eyes at his sister.
Paige sat back, smiling when she noticed the way Kaia and Mitch kept stealing glances at each other. It wasn’t the first time she noticed them doing this and sensed something was going on between them.

Over the last few years, Kaia had changed. She went from wearing her hair up in a tight bun to wearing it down, her clothes went from plain to colourful and very fashionable. She wore make-up and she looked happy, she had always looked so sad and scared before, when Sergio was alive.

“Children, why don’t you go upstairs and play in your room before dinner,” Kaia said, looking over at Mitch.
When the children were gone Gabriel looked over at his mother, raising an eyebrow. “Why did you send them away? You usually only do that when you have something serious to talk to me about.”

“There is something I need to tell you,” she said, looking back over at Mitch who had gotten to his feet and walked over to her. She took his hand when he held it out to her, taking a deep breath she looked back at her son.
Gabriel’s eyes narrowed, his eyes turning dark and he felt the blood in his veins boiling when he saw them holding hands. He sat back and crossed his right leg over the left one, staring angrily at Mitch. “What’s going on?” he asked, his tone came out harsh.

Kaia felt Gabriel’s anger, it reminded her of Sergio when he became angry. He was still after all his father’s son and she became afraid. She knew this talk was not going to go well and was grateful when Mitch spoke for the two of them.
“Kaia and I are in love and I’ve asked her to marry me.”

“You want to marry my mother?” Gabriel asked, feeling his body tensing up.
“Yes, and we would like your blessing,” Mitch answered, squeezing her hand. He knew from the get-go that Gabriel wouldn’t be pleased, that was why they had kept their affair a secret for the last two years.
Getting to his feet he stood in front of Mitch, his eyes blazing with fury. “How long has this been going on?”

“Two years.”

Sorry you have to read till the end before u know what was done to me.........
The lesson i learnt from that belittling statement is never to belittle anyone cos u don't know their struggle!
I was such an excellent student that almost all my textbooks in secondary were prizes won.
When i got to jss 3, my parents started having issues and later separated and that was it!!!
I was brought back to daddy's base and became a day student. cry
I never repeated but I lost all brilliancy!!!.....Ohhh, i struggled to no avail!!! cry cry
When it was time to proceed to higher institution, I kept failing jamb for 8yrs though i went to a computer school for 1yr inbetween.
My mum later enrolled me for predegree but yet i failed!!!
So i decided to go for partime studies and runs my way out of the school cos i was already doing petty business.
I met my hubby (then boyfriend)wen i got to 200l and that was wen my life began to change positively bit by bit!!!
He encouraged me more and asked me to rewrite jamb with 3 private lesson teachers coming to teach me.
I passed and got into the university.
Hmmmmm.....I never knew partime studies is way different from full time o.........
I kept giving up from time to time but my hubby was a Godsent!!!!
Fatai (lecturer)made me cry so much one say during my 300l exams.
I was writing a paper wen he came towards me and was trying to go through my answer script but i refused and so he started to laugh saying " she is hidding her script o.......Anything u write self will still be zero!!!
He was saying it wen another lecturer walked in and he still proceeded and gave me mortal combat finishing!!!
He said and i quote " if Bukky is given Yoruba education, she will still fail!!!)
Aghhhhhh......my age mate at that!
The other lecturer just walked out and i cried like never before!!!!
After d exam, i went to the hod to report him, though my hod apologised on his behalf, I never spoke with him until i left school..
If i had continued with my brilliancy, by God's grace, i would have come out with a first class!!!
I graduated, went for service and moved on beautifully.
Sorry for the long post..

Congarats,sorry are you a finster
