A former pastor at the Celestial Church of Christ, Pastor T. B. Joshua burst unto the scene a few years ago with astonishing live miracle services. But for some reason he was not accepted by other Pentecostal/Evangelical Nigerian pastors and other Christians. Most Christians who believe in miracles don't believe in (prophet) T. B. Joshua's miracles; they say he is of the devil. When he started, he was a very crude preacher. His services where pure 'miracle' services. Often he would be moving his hands as the 'miracles' were being performed, and people would say "he's behaving like a magician". His English was also very bad. His preaching was very unconventional with non-standard ways of praying and with hardly any references to the bible or the name of Jesus. It was understandable why one might not want to be associated with him. But T.B Joshua today is a refined man! He has a choir, he wears suit like other preachers, preaches with the bible and calls the name 'Jesus' quite frequently. His grammar is flawless (though he has not been able to get rid of the strong Yoruba accent.) For all intents and purposes, there is little difference between this man today and, say, Benny Hinn. So why is he not accepted by most tongue-talking, miracle-beileving Christians? Why is it that Pastor Chris Oyhakilome was criticized mercilessly for associating with him and accepting him as a 'man of God'? Why is it that a little child, when I switched to the Synagogue program this afternoon, told me "he is not a real Pastor"? Ministry Website: www.themaninthesynagogue.com |
Yes, but have you forgotten that it's these same people (WAEC employees) that are leaking exam papers to people who are willing to pay? If you scrap the exam, then the interviewer is free to award marks based on how much he likes your face (or how much you paid him prior to the interview!) |
Yes, they are. But if you want someone to help you fix up your site you have to give him give him those personal details. If you can't do that then you have to be patient and learn all you need to learn to do the work yourself! |
For an exam like WAEC's SSCE (WASSCE) which is taken by, say, a million students every year, this 10 minute session you're suggesting will take more than 6,900 man days. To be completed in 30 days, such an exercise would require about 230 interviewers working round the clock with no breaks. |
And she said unto me, "I am an angel. It is time for you to join your ancestors in heaven!" |
Ka, you remind me of George Lucas; what you are suggesting is nothing but Science Fiction, because even forward-thinking countries (like the US?) are not doing such things. You know what Nigerian students will do if you give them the questions well in advance? The dull ones will ask the smart ones to compose the answers for them, which they will proceed to write in their textbooks and transcribe during the course of the exam. The students with the best handwriting will end up with the highest scores! ![]() |

Here's one (cynical) view:
[li]'Love' means he wants to sleep with you, or perhaps marry you.[/li][li]'Like' means he genuinely likes you, or maybe just your body.[/li]
I don't know why young women pay so much attention to what men say. I mean, a man will tell you anything he thinks you want to hear. So why not pay more attention to his actions? ![]() |

I have read books 1 to 5. I think the films are nothing compared to the books. The action in book 5 is really something else, and will make for a good movie if they allow it to span several CDs. |
Chawkee, I don't think it's obvious from what I wrote above, but since I am not a student I will have to pay ₦1,500 or so to watch a movie. I feel that this is too expensive. To add insult to injury, I will have to take public transport to the Cinema venue and back home after watching the movie! I mean, I want to watch movies legally from the confort of my home, and at an affordable price. |

"As part of its commitment to making telephone services accessible to more Nigerians, MTN Nigeria has expanded its network capacity to include a new numbering range with the prefix 0806. With this development, MTN becomes the first and only GSM network in Nigeria with an additional numbering system, having exhausted its initial subscriber numbering range – 0803. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has duly approved the new subscriber numbering system. " (Thisday Online) |
It's the post of the Millenium. It must have taken 15 -30 minutes to compose, so I'm reluctant to touch it! |

I think Chidi Mokeme (the presenter) is in love with Chi-chi or something? Do you guys notice how many times he called her name in yesterday's episode? |
I'm pretty sure that there are Nigerian Universities where you can study Music-related courses. I also believe that Music is one of the subjects you can study in the SSCE examination and even the JAMB UME examination. |
It's been a really long time since I saw a WASSCE question paper. |
See that's where you miss it. This gender confusion thing. As a guy don't want to hear how much you love me or how much you want to go out with me. but I won't mind hearing that you love me and that you won't mind going out with me. You understand what I mean? He's not a girl, so he doesn't need any drama. Give him the ball and let him roll it ... ![]() So If you want to ask a man out, don't ask him out the way one asks a girl out. Ask him out like he's a man. |
Mamba, I don't think an average American will keep a snake as a pet. Most people hate snakes. Mambas are very dangerous snakes: "Mambas are tree dwelling, extremely rapidly moving snakes of Africa. They are highly venomous, their venom containing neurotoxins, which can be fatal to humans without access to proper first aid and subsequent antivenom treatment." (Wikipedia) Have you ever heard about those snakes that actually chase human beings? Is it possible that those people are referring to this group of snakes?
