Keziehenry:In Toronto...Back from Nigeria 2 weeks ago... Bought lots of food, frige is full but i may ruun out in 3 weeks. Most people out of Job, I will say upto 85%. Major FOOD STORES ARE OPEN, No restaurants/fast food but takeout is ok. No gathering of more than 20 people, Major malls are close down. All schools closed down. Been home past 2 weeks and eating more food than i normally would cause theres nothing to do, on Nairaland all day. Youtube movies and sometime videogames. step out once every 3 days for 30 minutes for fresh air, boring as fuk. ohh i forgot, i cant even invite people over so gotta soapy 3 times a day. my left hand is busy. Hope that government cheques comes this week including employment insurance, cause i just came back from Nigeria, meaning enu ti gbe(mouth is dry/no money). |
RaptorX:Damn son....Before commenting on social medial, always review what you are about to post. Do you know how much a chef makes monthly in North-America? atleast 4-5k monthly usd...What is the cost of flight from California to Nigeria (around 1200-1500usd average) i hope i answer your stupid question. |
They dont even respect you in your own airport, so why would foreign country respect you? salford1: |
Do you go to their country to invest or to do fraud? Do you go to oversea to create jobs or to live on government assistant? LagBoss: |
You are wrong bro. why do you have to comment on something you dont know about. Even though the article stated what visa on arrival is, why didn't you do your own research before commenting. In summary, visa on arrival is for (foreigner/big business man/investor/rich people/people that will contribute to the economy/ sudden travel, normally less than 48hrs). they get to the airport, pay the fees, get stamped...and they normally vacate the country less than a week anyways. it doesn't mean the country is shithole. Stop bringing Nigeria down. And ask yourself why you queue to get visa from other countries for months?? Because of you people...yes you...you people reputation. Not trusted, so every country makes it harder for all other Nigerians. Do you know that if 10 Congolese/Togolese/Sudan/Benin/Ghana national apply for Canada visa with proper documents, they have at least 50% chance of getting approve compare to 10% of Nigerians?? Reason...Us...i mean..you are the reason...all yall people. seunlayi: |
Holy shit... u read my mind. So...little story, i reside in North America. my boi in Nigeria randomly messaged me couple of weeks ago, saying, "u dey enjoy ooo". I asked him why he said that, he responded by sayin dollar is 36,500. i was like okay...what does that mean? he said am reach because its just 100 dollar to "us" people abroad, now am so confused, especially cause this was a random convo from the very start. He added 100 naira cant even buy anything in Nigeria. I was so sad i dont even know how to explain to this guy how money works. Long story short, i had to play along with him cause theres no need explaining that 30-40%of average monthly income is rent, food minimum15%, transportation/car finance/insurance/gas/maitenance 600-700 monthly..so what else is left after that? This Reminds me of my flight to Toronto last May, Lagos going thru Franfurt, Cockpit started smoking, We had to land in a dessert in Libya; terrified, We spent upto 24hours there before new plane arrive. To make matter worst, it was fasting season, no food or water, some people in the area had to travel to nearby town to get us food and drinks. Well, i got compensated by the airline with ease, wasnt even expecting it, i think my Citizenship made them do it faster though, and i may be wrong. |
kindnyce:Pls can you send me 5k? i need it urgently to buy this nice basebaall cap for new year, God bless you |
NwanyiAwkaetiti:Very important, msg me, cant seems to be able to dm you |
NwanyiAwkaetiti:How much? is that ur real picture? |
missimelda01:How can i get one? you on whatsapp? or email? |
harkandey:Actually, thers is crime in begging for help. Unless you are handicap and not capable ofcourse. Grown man begging another grown man for help and taking it to social medial is embarrassing, Now you wonder why you are poor in the first place. Bleep... |
awelekiti:Have you travelled before? Just because you get a visa does not mean you can easily enter a country, they can send you back or arrest you for any reason at the point of entry, sometime with no reason at all, i cross to U.S all the time and i see people got turned back with no explanation all the time. |
Dexter001:Haba bros...Brand new puppy is around 300 to 1,000 dollars.. and you can also get it for free if you go to dog shelter to adopt, but it will drain you lots of money, cost of owning a puppy is between 1,500dollars to 2,000 dollars per year..... food, medication, day care/dog walker. |
Saintsquare:No way...We got out of the plane, was smelling of smokes. Got out of the plane , some of us slept on the pavement and some on the chair in the near building. 204 passengers and screw members. You cant believe the crew members wanted to abandon us and leave us behind on a bus after 1hr after landing. Come and see Naija ppl running after them and shouting in the middle of the night. I think i have the videos and pictures too. |
mhisbliss:LOL We started taking pictures after finding out that new plane is mins away; we landed there at :am local time, everywhere was so dark. No food because of Ramadan, and nearest town with hotel is very far away. |
Lufthansa Airways on Monday said it diverted flight LH569 from Lagos to Frankfurt, Germany, to Tamanrasset Airport, Southern Algeria, on Sunday night due to an unusual smell in the cabin. The spokesperson for Lufthansa, Hakeem Jimo, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that the aircraft took off from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. Jimo said: “The Airbus A330 aircraft with 204 passengers on board landed safely in Algeria and is currently being examined by technicians. “The safety of passengers and crew is Lufthansa‘s number one priority at all times.” According to him, the passengers, who are mostly Nigerians, will continue their journey to Frankfurt today (Monday) with another Lufthansa aircraft sent from Germany. Jimo, on behalf of Lufthansa, tendered an apology to the passengers for any inconvenience caused by the incident. https://theeagleonline.com.ng/why-lagos-frankfurt-flight-was-diverted-to-algeria-lufthansa-2/ Pics below, After waiting for more than 12hrs in the isolated Town, we finally try to catch some fun while waiting for new plane from Frankfurt

stevolinkon40:Someone told me that he has intention of sending every clean money i give him to my people in Nigeria, but once he receive my clean money, he then send another money going to the receiver, which might be from another source[Or maybe his mugu then send the money to my receiver]...maybe thats why he's giving higher rate than black markets, since hes getting clean money anyways... For instance...if i give him 500dollars..which is he will give me 165000naira...[i think black markets is around 120k]...maybe he then ask his mugu to send that 165k to my receiver...u know what i mean? |
Flashmove:Thanks for the response...was just snooping around the site and looking for expert advice. |
stevolinkon40:His rate rate is always above the aboki rate..by atleast 50 naira...i have done upto 20 different transactions with him total of about 5000dollars so far, the issue is those 5k are just gift to different accounts, friends and families...Now i want to be sending 1k weekly to my personal savings, is it risking? not really worried about the trust part....never met him but i trust him so far based on how we communicate. |
LifeIsGuhd:You are right but just want to know more details about it |
One of my buddy introduced me to a guy through whatsapp about a year ago, and i have been sending money through him since, saving me time and hassle of western union, also saving the receiver from going and lining up at the bank (i tried only sending between 100-500canadian per transaction through e-mail transfer to his account beforehand〕. Earned his trust and usually delivers withing hrs straight to my receivers account. Here is what baffles me: When Canadian dollar was trading officially at 270 naira about 3 months ago, he gave it to me for 360 (remember this is official rate not black market rate, i will assume black market was probably around 330〕....He normally message me when the rate goes up, and i did about 4 -5 transactions of $500 which equals 180,000 each... probably done about 20 transactions since we started talking(but all those transactions was for my people in naija that always requesting for some money, u all know how they are〕. I have a gt bank savings account, and this going is giving me upto 100 naira on every official canadian dollar, is it legit? How does it really benefit him? (obviously i dont want to ask him this questions, just want to know Nairalander opinion〕. Money aint easy to make...Planning on sending at least 2500 dollars of clean money to him monthly and i dont want to find out in the future that my savings is been use for fraud. Your opinion and suggestions will be appreciated. Front page please, its urgent, help a brother out, lol Cc Lalasticlala Ishilove Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun |
