Should we say Obi is following HE Tinubu’s footsteps?

Tivs are the most numerous followed by HAUSAS except you are adding settler HAUSAS from nw ne.you have to add yorubas because they are indigenous to kwara and kogi, nothing like being more southern.it is puerile and can't fly

Yorubas and Hausas are more dominant elsewhere so they migrate and increase the population where their kith and kins are that's why i left them out. Hausas are found in pockets across the zone. Your library should have provided you enough information to know NC is home to indigenous people's of the North.

Indigenous Igbos in Kogi and Benue will pass 500k, so they should be among your notable mentions..

igbos are not known to North Central polities. They were not part of the kwararafa kingdom, Nupe and Ilorin Emrate. it's lack of proper boundary demarcation that saw them in those States.

Hausa, fulani and Kanuri appeared in error but there are pockets of Kanuri and fulani in the North Central and but shouldn't be included because they predominantly belong to another geopolitical zone

The award-winning school, CKC Onitsha, was among the schools I returned to the donor agencies and supported heavily as the Governor of Anambra State. I am very delighted with the great heights they have so far attained.

Good sense, some people are paid handsomely to provide these things. Hold them responsible, truth of the matter is, Obi can spend all his money and the issue will still remain. This is because he doesn't have the resources to solve the problem. He can actually achieve more by using his platform to get norther leaders to focus more in this area. No, he wants the glory for himself only, this is the thinking of a devious politician.

Well Shehu Mahdi stated the obvious about Northern leaders. They ain't doing much even when the resources are there both from public and personal purse so what Obi and others are doing is an intervention that scratch the surface, all the same people are happy. Southerners are reading political meaning into the little gesture done by Obi. Even if the North won't vote for Obi they will forever be grateful. We have Rochas doing good with his free education to
kids in the North. The kids enjoying his intervention weren't in position to vote for him as imo Governor and Senator. But their downtrodden parents will forever say thank you him. So Obi should continue, humanity first, politics last. I see a group taking up the challenge in health sector and provide succour for the down and forgotten.

Like someone said in another thread, once the north becomes Obidient, it’s over. Because not even rigging will stop him.

We will be there in 2027!

Op, pls tell Obi to do more boreholes, all the people want is clean water. The people of Northern NIGERIA are appreciative people that is why most people think we are cheap. For now we are not reading political meaning into Obi's kind gestures. when 2027 election come we will think of the direction to follow.

APC supporters who are also attacking Obi please choose a community that needs amenity and meet their need and post it here. I will clap for you and ask for more.

APC folks seek to deflect attention from the ongoing APC's misrule. Any person that supported Buhari has no sense of value and shouldn't condemn another person for providing succour for another person. well done Obi

Funded not from personal fund but from relentless looting of Anambra coffers for 8 rock solid years.

I am obidient but it is a shame that this is the best Peter Obi can offer those communities while ordinary youth corper who never held political position are doing borehole times 10 beta. Peter Obi deserve to be stoned to death foe this foolish project tarnishing his already battered image.

Obviously you don't know who OBIDIENTs are, talk more of being one. You are an APC retrograde, who think everyone belongs to your moronic lifestyle of stealing public funds to advance political visibility. Go stone yourself to death.

Isn't it a disgrace that instead of promoting your party and its destructive footsteps you all spend time promoting Obi. For your information your intended 'attacks' on Obi has kept him in the national discourse everyday.

My state is governed by PDP and we don't talk about the opposition party, they talk about us, for us they are too insignificant to be a concern. we focus on constituents, expectations and deliverables.

You folks know your party have nothing to offer thus the attempts to distract NIGERIANS by focusing on Obi. Please continue, Obi needs it.

it's a gift funded from personal funds and the community is appreciative even if its local atleast it provides them water. Those complaining should build a better borehole for the people so the can have two, one local the other international. Issuing statements won't provide water for people who need it

Politics / Re: Nearly 24hrs Later, Why Has Elrufai Not Refuted The Rumour Of Working With Obi? by slivertongue: 10:04pm On Apr 08
Penguin2:

Great submission!

And being from the north, you are helping me have a better insight into how things actually stand in the north especially Elrufai’s strength. Though I still think he would rally more northern powerbrokers to the Obi ticket than Datti was able to do.

But your last paragraph is very true because I’ve seen some Obidients swear to withdraw their support for Obi should he team up with Elrufai. And it would also affect Obi’s chances among Christian voters most especially northern Christians.

Elrufai’s baggage is too much that the idea is not seeming like it’s going to be possible.

If Kwankwaso is still interested in sucking Tinubu’s deek, then it’s best Obi sticks with Datti.

Like some Obidients argued, he won the last election with Datti, so, Obi doesn’t really any of those supposed heavyweights. What he needs is to get northern powerbrokers to allow his victory to stand if he wins again.

Boss, Tinubu is the President of Nigeria, we must accord him that respect regardless of his character which ain't presidential. Datti did a great work oo but you may not value it because they are not in the villa today. That INEC declare two rookies of polling 6.1 million votes tells you that they got more than that but were shortchanged.

The votes from Plateau, Abj, Benue, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Gombe, Adamawa, Borno, kogi, Niger, Kano didn't come easy. We had to battle the ruling elites and INEC, INEC did more damage than the ruling class as the people came out in there numbers. Of course Datti had his hurdles but he is well connected and has the family name to speak for him. Northern power brokers are mostly politicians who seem to use INEC and the security forces to force their way to power. The above mentioned areas still turned out votes despite the elite conspiracy against him.

Northern Politicians of value are Atiku, SARS, Goje, Kwankwaso, Saraki, Wammako, these men 'gat the connect' to gather men across states but many of them didn't believe Obi could garner 10% of the votes thus the refusal of someone like Shagari to be his VP. some even questioned where obi would get campaign fundings, you know the rest. Obi is not the most popular Igbo man in the North, OUK and Rochas are. Rochas is a household name here, atleast in the urban North but no Igbo person or Southerner has brought a simple but coordinated campaign to North like Obi. Only MKO beats him. The funny thing is there are many Peter Obi's that campaigned for Peter Obi.

Elrufia won't add value to the ticket, his antics and antagonism against even Muslim elites is well known. He rallied imams on the side of APC from 2015 to 2023 playing a religious card but the situations.of the North today makes it worthless to campaign on region and religion. Don't also forget that the North ain't political homogeneous. There is the Muslim, Christian, Native, Fulani &immigrant North, these shape politics in the North.

Let me shock you, the North worked against Atiku thus his loss severally. The campaign of calumny against Obi was engineered from the South not from the North. The North is a conservative society yet liberal and ain't scared of any Southerner ruling Nigeria. Ask yourself wasn't it North that supported Shagari and Ekwueme. Didn't we know that Ekwueme was Igbo? It wasn't the North that worked against GEJ, it was his follow Southerners who lobbied the North to fight a man who gave them more advantage. Life was good under PDP but your fellow Southerners truncated it with their sinister ambition.

Atiku can't win election until the North stands up for him and for Obi, he needs to do more home work south wards. Obi's problem ain't the North but the South may betray him to the North just like the North betrayed Atiku to the South.
