Literature / Subheadlines As A Powerful Tool Of Writing by SophieAbou97: 7:29am On May 13, 2023
What are Sub-headlines?

Subheadlines are small secondary headline that breaks up the text into smaller, more easily digestible chunks and provide additional information to the main headline.

They can be used to introduce a new section or topic, summarize key points, or provide additional details that are not covered in the main headline.

The subheadline also gives the reader that extra nudge to take the right action.

It's important that your headline connect with the big idea you intend to promote in your content.

HERE ARE IDEAS OF WHAT YOUR SUBHEADLINE SHOULD COMPRISE OF:

1.) Choose the right length: A good subheading should just take a few seconds to read.

I recommend that you keep your subheadline 10 to 30 words.

2.) Aim for the right amount of information: The essence of the subheadline is to keep curious so they can read ahead to click the call to action.

Hint the reader just enough, that tickles their mind to want to know more, It’s aim is to compel your reader to act.

3.) Talk more About Benefits: Benefit focused headlines are great. By emphasizing how the product and service will improve the user's life, you can dramatically advance the pages power.

4.) Encourage Action: A subheadline is also a great way to get users to do something.

If you successfully encourage action, it will take a little effort to persuade them in your write up.

Investment / Don’t stay idle this year dear nairalanders. by SophieAbou97: 1:41pm On Feb 26, 2023
Procrastination, they say, is the thief of all times. There is always something you can start with little capital. All you need is consistency and genuine focus to keep growing in the line of what you chose. Journeying through the long run, you will be discouraged by some, and encouraged by people who believe in you, but over all, nothing beats believing in yourself. Infact some people would belittle your dreams and you would almost feel helpless if your reasons for starting is weak, but the truth is. This people are not in your head, they don’t know why you start. They have no idea of the goals you’ve set for yourself or how determined you are to stay consistent, they know nothing. But there your are seeking validation from their opinions, if you had been a victim of that, it’s time to put it to halt.
Even if you are yet to acquire the little capital you need to start up your business, keep reading and learning online via YouTubes, google, books till you are sure that your passion can never leave you, this also would make your line of work easier and enjoyable for you when you start that even if you aren’t making enough capital yet, you are liable to enjoy what you do till you start making money from it.

Good evening.

I have been going through the investment thread for the past weeks and can't be able to figure out what business one can invest the sum of 10million and get good returns.

I have read some topics here, got some clue but haven't hit that jackpot. I'm technically savvy and I want to diversify to other source of income.

Pls suggest what business can give good return. Thanks.
loan me 300k to pay you back monthly with interest for a year?? Deal?? Ready to drop necessary documents

Nairaland / General / Some Bad Manners That Should Be Stopped by SophieAbou97: 10:32am On Jan 22, 2023
1.) borrowing power bank from a total stranger: you don’t know this person. You just found him/her in the same gathering as you then proceeded to ask for their power banks to charge your phone, if they didn’t need it also, they wouldn’t have charged it. Some may mind but would reluctantly give you out of courtesy. It doesn’t mean they want to likewise some won’t mind. You won’t die if you wait to get home before you charge your phone or plug it anywhere else around you, not borrowing a stranger’s power bank. Unless it’s an emergency case where it’s a do or die thing and even with that, courtesy demands you don’t exceed ten-fifteen minutes while using their power banks. Buy yours and charge it.

2.) Removing your friends Caps/wigs/scarfs in public all in the name of Playing and teasing them: Please understand that there’s a huge difference between being playful and embarrassing people, it’s a bad manner that you shouldn’t try. Some people have unkept hairs underneath their coverings while some are just very comfortable with their head coverings. You won’t always get a nasty response when you do this, it still doesn’t equate to the fact that they detest it and if you get to be unlucky, some would clap back at you. If you are the type that’s hyper playful in nature, never try this or stop it.

3.) Asking a stranger to share their bottle of water with you:
This is a bad manner at it’s peak. Some people don’t even like to put their mouth back on a bottle that their friends had drank from, now imagine how a stranger would feel. Because people don’t react doesn’t mean they are cool with it. Stop it, buy your own bottle water, it won’t kill you.

4.) Asking your friends about personal issues of them in the presence of other people:
Some people do this a lot, they don’t know when to keep shut. But be aware that this is very wrong. If you want to be a talking butterfly, there are always lots of impersonal issues you can discuss about, not drawing your friends personal lives to your conversations in the presence of others that would be willing to know for the purpose of gossiping around later about it.
